Food as usual is freaking delicious! Service was very nice so helpful and polite! Ambiance is a nice clean restaurant.

bland lukewarm chicken curry with rice

I recently dined at this French/Vietnamese cuisine restaurant with a group of four adults and four children, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Service & Cleanliness Upon arrival, there was no staff guidance for seating, so we seated ourselves. While this was not a major issue, the booth we chose was dirty, with food scraps left on both the table and floor from previous customers. The two waitresses on duty failed to properly clean the area before seating new guests. I had to request that the table be wiped down, which should have been standard practice. One staff member attempted to clean the area afterward, but the situation had already reflected poorly on the restaurant's professionalism. Menu Discrepancy & Availability Prior to our visit, my sister-in-law reviewed the restaurant's online menu, only to be informed upon arrival that it was not accurate. The cashier explained that only select items from an in-house menu were available, displayed on a chalkboard. Many advertised dishes were unavailable, including specialty pho options. Customers were limited to beef pho or beef rib pho only, which was misleading. Order Handling & Wait Time We were informed that the kitchen was low on noodles and broth and needed time to prepare more, which we understood. However, during the wait, a separate family who ordered after us received their pho first, despite the kitchen being aware of limited inventory. This reflected poor order management and prioritization. After 30 minutes, we were told there was no more broth available. We were offered the option to wait longer for more to be prepared or receive a refund and order alternative items. Because part of our group had already received their food, we reluctantly chose to switch to rice dishes despite originally coming specifically for pho. Additional Order Issues When reordering, I attempted to add spring rolls, but the waitress informed me that the previous customer had taken the last one, implying the item was not freshly prepared or replenished. This further highlighted the restaurant's limited readiness and planning. Staff Preparedness & Professionalism The overall service felt inexperienced and poorly supervised. While staff age itself is not an issue, the lack of training, communication, and basic hospitality standards was evident throughout the visit. The operation felt disorganized, and staff appeared unprepared to manage even a moderately sized group. Food Quality The food was underwhelming and poorly executed. The pho lacked aroma and depth, tasting diluted. * The chicken curry resembled a bland stew, lacked salt and richness, and was served lukewarm. * The grilled pork rice bowl and lemongrass rice bowl tasted premade and reheated, with meat that did not seem freshly prepared. Between the poor cleanliness, disorganized service, misleading menu, limited availability, lack of staff training, and subpar food quality, this restaurant failed to meet basic dining expectations. I will not be returning. This experience reinforced that high star ratings do not always reflect quality or authenticity.

    Weekend special spring rolls.

The pad thai was fabulous and my husband enjoyed his red coconut curry dish. I ordered mine a 1 out of 5 for spiciness and it was perfect. My husband loves the heat, and thought his 2 out of 5 was perfect. He was given some hot chili spice to add if desired, but he said it was perfect as is. Our friends chose the "drunken noodles" entree and pineapple fried rice. They loved their dishes too. The family that owns this restaurant and works here as chefs & servers deserve our business! We'll be back for sure.

We arrived a little after opening time and were seated right away, but it took a little over 45 minutes before our food arrived, which felt quite long considering it wasn't very busy yet. We started with the egg rolls. They were plated nicely and looked appealing when they came out. The rolls themselves were loosely wrapped, which made the wrappers a bit soggy rather than crispy, but the flavor of the filling was actually quite good. We also ordered sticky rice, which unfortunately was not sticky at all. It had more of a regular rice texture. I'm not sure if this is a different preparation style compared to traditional sticky rice I'm used to, but it wasn't what I expected. We also ordered the sticky rice to go with the beef namtok, but it came out with the egg rolls instead of with the entrée, which felt a bit odd timing-wise. The pho boat noodle was the highlight of the meal--9/10. The broth had good depth of flavor and the dish overall was satisfying. One thing that would elevate the experience is having condiments and herbs readily available, such as fresh basil, lime, and bean sprouts served on the side so customers can add them to their preference rather than having them already mixed in. The beef namtok, however, was disappointing--2/10. The flavor profile itself was there, but the beef was very tough and tasted boiled. Traditionally, namtok that I've had is grilled and thinly sliced, which gives it a smoky flavor and more tender texture with the seasoning absorbing into the meat. This version didn't quite deliver that same experience. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but there are definitely areas that could be improved. The staff and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. I would also love to see the atmosphere better reflect the style of food being served, as that can really enhance the overall dining experience.

It is a sit down restaurant (they also do to go orders) but feels relatively casual! It's a good spot for meeting up with friends or family. At the tableside, there is extra soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil which is nice so people can adjust things to their own taste! However, I found the items seasoned perfectly and did not need to adjust anything. They have plenty of vegetarian options, and if you ask, they will give you a version of the menu that is annotated to show what is and isn't vegetarian! Some modifications can be made to menu items, and they will let you know if it's something they can accommodate. Different dishes come with different noodle shapes as the standard preparation if you don't specify what you want, but you are able to pick your shape if you'd like. We chose extra wide for both our noodle dishes. The spicy oil noodles would typically come with extra wide noodles and the garlic stir fry would have come with thick noodles if we hadn't specified otherwise! We ordered the spicy fried flatbread pieces, the shaanxi oil splash noodles, and the garlic stir fried noodles with veggies! There is a window where you can watch as the hand pulled noodles are being made, which is fun. The service was speedy, with the food coming out in less than 10 minutes after we ordered, and our water being refilled well before it got empty. For the food, I cannot stress this enough: get the spicy fried flatbread bites! It is so good. The bread is slightly soft in the middle but you get a nice crunch from the edges. The bread has such a good flavor, with five spice and chili peppers. It's not super spicy, so a reasonable option for someone who just wants a little spice. The shaanxi oil splash noodles are another story. They are really good but have more of a kick to them, which is to be expected since they are mostly chili oil and noodles. The mildness of the bok choy balanced the chili oil out well. I really enjoyed this dish and will for sure get it again! The garlic stir fried noodles were also good! It has a slightly tangy umami flavor, mostly driven by the soy sauce and vinegar base. We ordered it with veggies, which came with carrots and zucchini in addition to the bell peppers and tomatoes. While I would also get it again, the oil splash noodles rank higher for me! Overall it was a positive experience and very much worth the visit! For anyone who's read this far into my review, I want to reiterate go order the spicy fried flatbread pieces!!!

I even dipped my bok choy in it rather than the soup. That being said, you may notice there's no bok choy in my picture. That is because they got my order wrong and served me the Lanzhou noodle soup rather than the spicy beef noodle soup. I didn't notice until eating partially through and not finding any bok choy. I'm pretty easy going so I told them I didn't need a replacement, I was just looking forward to bok choy. They brought out a small dish for me which was really nice of them! That being said, I thought the soup was subpar unfortunately. The noodles were great! Definitely seemed and tasted handpulled as advertised. But the broth tasted watered down and lacked flavor or spice. I dumped a heaping spoon of their table chili oil for a moderate improvement. The meat was also not particularly flavorful or plentiful. Unfortunately I don't really have an interest to go back, but I'll give it 3 stars for the service and great wontons!
