I've stopped in before for the eggplant-parm subs, which are excellent, but particularly wanted to mention their amazing lasagna. Glad I found this small Mom & Pop Restaurant by accident because their Pizza was some of the best we have found after trying lots of mediocre pies. We had not been to Cafe Verona since we moved out to Zellwood and decided to stop in Sat. The pizza was awesome and I like the anti-pasta salad, (minus the tuna). The owner is a fireball and so sweet. She let us know they deliver to Zellwood Station!! Yay!! We have had the wings and cheesesteak which were yummy. I started to give it three stars but couldn't with a clear conscience. I just can't see why someone would say the food here is good. First the spaghetti with meatballs...when I opened the dish I thought they must have burned it. The sauce was so dark and thick. The meatballs were hard and definitely bought not made. Second the pizza. I got a cheese personal pan pizza. Wow. I have had supermarket frozen pizza that was better. The garlic bread was not even cooked. Had to put it in the oven. My husband had the chicken parm sub. He said the chicken was good but it was on the wrong bread-it was doughy. The salad was ok. The best part of the whole meal was the balsamic vinaigrette dressing-probably out of a bottle. Also the wings were decent after we finished cooking them. The garlic on the wings did not taste fresh but from a jar. Very disappointing overall. read more

Wanted to try this out and on their page it said they deliver in 6 miles I'm under 5 and they said that im.out of their area.Italian I guess they are not about the customer. I hate to be negative but this was really bad. We ordered cafe Verona from grub hub and we ordered the chicken Alfredo and mozzarella sticks and cheesecake for dessert. It's also came with garlic bread. I'm fairly certain the "Alfredo" was from a jar. It was runny and absolutely flavorless. Even my kids refused to eat it. The chicken it came with also seemed like some sort or pre-packaged meat cut into cubes. It was absolutely horrible and rubbery. The mozzarella sticks were hard and the garlic bread had so much oregano on it that it was inedible. The cheesecake was not homemade and was hard and tasteless. We had high hopes when ordering and we're trying to support local but poor quality food won't get them far. read more

Great little hidden place! Just found it and so far so good! Very friendly people. Great steak and cheese and a good steak and cheese is hard to find in the south. I'll definitely be back for more and the fact that it's a locally own place that delivers is awesome. Not enough places that matter, delivers. I picked the food up and it was ready and hot in 10 minutes! The deluxe pizza is pretty stout! It's definitely up there with Anthony's! The dough is decent and they don't skimp on the toppings. I've heard some good things about this place, so I decided to give them a try. Pros: Decent sized small salad Lots of meat Quick delivery Flavorful homemade (I am assuming) Italian dressing. Cons: The meat was rolled up on top, so I hadda cut it up A bit pricey for a small salad that I had to work for The delivery company overheard was way too much The packaging was so stuffed that I hadda transfer it to another bowl at work. I've probably been to Cafe Verona 20 times, since I discovered the place after moving to Apopka. My last experience wasn't great, but I decided to give it another try. Tonight my only disappointment was that I hadn't been back in such a long time. We were greeted quickly after sitting down. The inside is a little on the drab side, but I assume that most of their business is carry-out anyhow. My wife and I decided to order the ceasar salad to share as an appetizer. We gobbled it down. It was large enough to share, for sure. The lettuce to dressing ratio was good, and the little croutons reminded me of being a kid. Good salad. For dinner, I tried the Verona Crisp. It's a thin-crust pizza with two toppings (I choose meatballs and onions), cheese, and a balsamic drizzle. Sweet and savory on a crisp crust. Tasty and satisfying. For under $9, the size was great too, as I have leftovers fir tomorrow. My wife, who isn't much of a foodie, ordered the small stromboli with sausage. I could argue that she had a calzone, hold the ricotta, but it's semantics. She enjoyed it. She is looking forward to her leftovers tomorrow, and she only finished half! I cannot call Verona the finest local pizzeria in town (Apopka has many, and most have their merits) but the food is solid, and not pricey. I'd recommend my meal tonight. The restaurant is a little dilapidated, so carry out might be preferable, but give them a try. I will certainly be back. read more

This place sucks.... First they say there pizza is wood fired but NOT! The pizza oven is right in front of you and you can see that they are not cooking it in a woodfired oven it is a traditional pizza oven. I ordered a small pizza with three toppings and they charged me over $13 yet they're small pizza with nine toppings the deluxe is only $11.95. Will never go back. I also mentioned this to the owner about the price and he did not seem to care. I got home with the pizza and it was very soggy. read more

I get food from here fairly often, the lasagna is good, even if it is a little thin and easy on the filling side. Same can be said for the deluxe steak and cheese sandwich - you get a lot more bread than filling most of the time, which is a shame, because it tastes fine, the portions could just be a lot better! read more

Called to order pizza for delivery. They called back to tell me card was declined so I told them I would call back in 5 min with a different card. I called three times and they did not answer. I called with a roommates phone different area code they answered and I told them I need to pay for an order I placed a few minutes earlier. They set the phone down. Tried this little place for the first time for deluxe cheese steaks. Talk about good! The bread is perfect and the sandwich is chock full of steak. peppers, mushrooms. It was excellent and have some left for lunch. Cafe Verona will see my family again. Well worth the drive to Apopka from Wekiva . Very diverse menu too. read more

I ordered food for delivery. My order was a meatball sub, calamari & fries. When my order got here my fries were very soggy and so was the calamari. My calamari also came with a sauce and when I opened the box the sauce had opened up and gone all over the calamari. (I don't care for sauce with my calamari) This was very unsatisfactory the only good thing was my meatball sub. I've had better service here before but this was sure a bad experience!!! So I just called to see how they would make my order right. And some man who I'm assuming is a manager or owner just yelled at me that the food was perfect when it obviously wasn't (even the driver acknowledged that the fries were terrible) and then hung up on me and blocked my number. I've worked in costumer service long enough to know that he shouldn't even be running a restaurant!!!! I am beyond dissatisfied with his service the lady I spoke to before was so much nicer and understanding!! I'm for sure never going back again! read more
