This place looks like your typical neighborhood old school corner catch-all-market and deli but let me tell you the food is authentic and fresh baked daily with to die for flavors. If you've not enjoyed one of their delectable meat or veggie pies with the most savory flaky crust to match than your missing out. This place is awful, no better way to put it. It's labeled as middle eastern and yet they sell tequeños, cachitos, etc, which are Venezuelan. This place can't even get the most simple of middle eastern cuisine right so it leads me to believe that the Venezuelan must be even worse. Ordered a fattoush salad, a staple of middle eastern food and one of the easiest to make and they decided to throw some dry stale pita bread that was cut up instead of chips. See the picture I attached. And then there was the "beef" shawarma which I'm thinking was my biggest regret ordering and then taking on bite before throwing it out. The meat was days old you could tell and they used actual pickle slices from a jar. Not middle eastern pickles, the kind you kind on a whopper. Once again anyone looking to eat here, good luck. Bleh.. They were lucky to be one of the only things open after 11pm. Otherwise, if you like quality food that doesn't cost an arm and leg and stays open late, head to Rene and Manolo's instead. The food we got here at Cafe Tony was cheap, but also subpar. I got a spinach empanada thing and it tasted like it had been sitting under the heater thing the entire day. It was dried out and tasteless. On the good side, there are plenty of choices for things to drink (and plenty of other food but who knows how fresh/not fresh they were). This 24 hours convenience store is popular with construction workers that work "next door" making a new door. Well no, seriously... it's open 24 hours. The Colombo-Libanos (Colombian-Lebanese) owners were welcoming and seemingly prepared to pull an all nighter (I'm curious to see who takes their shift or maybe they sleep in the backroom - I'm kidding.) So why did I come here? Because I saw "falafel" written outside its door while passing by and I just had to check it out. For the sake of comparison, I'm going to compare this place with Middle East Connection at Bayside. Prices are cheaper. Food is almost comparable. Food selection is small but I was told it would expand sometime soon. Atmosphere is not as congested. And the food is available 24 hours (until it runs out and the owners bring a fresh new batch the next day). The food I've tried were kibbe, hummus, falafel, pita bread, stuffed grape leaves, and rice. All were good and I could not complain about anything except for the stuffed grape leaves- I had wished that they would be bigger as they are tiny. While this is certainly not the best place to have middle eastern food, the convenience of its availability for 24 hours is enough for me to make it notable in my book. read more

I finally visited this place that is right around the corner from my condo. Service was excellent and you get a good feeling in conversing with the owners who pretty much are who serve you. I tried a Gyro which was delicious and good priced. I only wish it came with french fries as I love french fries. The food tastes fresh and is a good size. I love this place! I'm in downtown Miami at least twice a week for meetings. Since day 1, I walked in for a Cafe con Leche. The lady behind the counter asked me all the great details to make it right. Great attention to detail. Next visit, I decided to get 4 cafes to go. She wrapped them with plastic so not to spill them. Again, Attention to detail. Now I'm a regular. I've had the sandwiches from the menu. So far the Shawarma is my favorite. Food is solid and healthy. I've made requests and they are happy to accommodate. This place is under-rated, but that's why I decided to sing their praises. Great customer service has to be applauded. I live super close to this place, and go there for coffee, pastries, late night ice cream. It's 24hr, super cheap, and has all the corner store stuff you'd need. It is gritty and part of the neighborhood, not all bubbly and chic. I tried the hummus pita sandwhiches the other day. Cheap (6$ or something) and good quality. The food was absolutely disgusting and gave my boyfriend and I food poisoning the next morning.. I don't even know why I tried to eat it after I realized the gyro had jalapeños, pickles, black olives, mayo and mustard when I didn't even ask for that stuff on my gyro, (yes mayo and mustard.. I mean really?!) All of that with the lettuce, tomato, onions and tzatziki sauce that I actually DID want, sounds like a horrible combination as it is.. The pita was ridiculously thin and they tried to wrap it like a burrito... needless to say it broke immediately and everything inside was soggy. The falafel platter looked like it couldn't be that bad and I thought nothing could top how disgusting that gyro was.... until I took a bite of the falafel. If you want an idea of how it tasted, imagine walking in a muddy dirt field all day and then scraping the mud off your shoe and rolling it into a ball and eating it. Luckily the hummus was incredibly tasteless which was probably a blessing in disguise. This place is the worst. The owner of the restaurant is very rude and incompetent. I waited more than an hour for food just to have them cancel the order. I called the Grubhub Customer Care team and they contacted the restaurant,The representative told me one of the employees said to call back in half an hour when the owner was supposed to arrive and that he would comp my meal if I go pick it up. I call back half an hour later and speak to the owner and he said verbatim, "I would not even give you a cup of water for free" and then hung up.
