Really enjoyed our experience here and would be happy to come try dinner! Food service and vibes were great

A friend had recommended this spot a while back and I'm glad I saved it. We were near by visiting the Skybridge and decide to get some dinner. I am so glad we came here. Our server Todd was really great! He answered all our questions and was attentive. It was a Saturday evening when we came in and they have live music. We did have about a 1/2 hour wait, as expected, but it was SO worth it! All of our food was phenomenal! We also ordered two drinks from their long list of non alcoholic options, both of which were very good! I would totally come back if we were in the area again.

Always a must for my family when we stay in Boyne City. Great during all seasons, snow or shine! The location is great being right across from the water with patio seating available. They offer a massive list of cocktails and their food never disappoints. My favorites are Tuna Au Poivre and Chicken Marsala.

Charcuterie Board - nice mix of a medium cheddar, tasty blue and wine soaked goat with meats (the slab on right is ham).

Was excited to go to a nice place and enjoy some good food w friends. The place has a great vibe if you don't look down. There was just food and garbage under literally every table. Not what I would have expected here. We had the French onion soup and charcuterie board and a bottle of Rose. Everything was absolutely delicious. But seriously - sweep your floors. Our server was nice, attentive. Hit the spot but for the price - sweep your floors.

Cafe Sante is so unique and it's right in the heart of Boyne City. It uniqueness comes due to its very European feel. They do a great job of ambiance and seriously I totally felt like Europe had come to the North Michigan. From the decor, signage, to an old feel of this has been here for centuries, they nailed it on atmosphere. They have a gorgeous outdoor patio for those amazing summer nights. We were able to take advantage of their Monday night pizza special which is not available in the summer, but it doesn't matter their pizza is just as good as full price. They have amazing other great menu items, but they do their pepperoni pizza well, it will not disappoint. You'll love Cafe Sante it has such a hip vibe and has music on certain nights, which is always a nice touch. This is for sure one of the best restaurants in Boyne City, it's awesome

We stopped at Cafe Sante for a late lunch on our way into Boyne Mountain. Service and food were both 10/10. We enjoyed a few happy hour drinks as well. We had the meatball appetizer to start and the marinara sauce so so fresh and flavorful, we ended up dipping the bread in the sauce too! For our entrees we had the chicken Marsala and steak frites. I really enjoyed the Marsala sauce and ended up mixing my noodles and veggies in it. Both meals very delicious and the steak was cooked to my husbands liking. We can't wait to try brunch next time we're in town.

2nd time into Cafe Sante... pretty awesome spot. The ambiance is great (think Butchers Union for Grand Rapids, MI ppl), servers are joyful, and the food better than it should be for the price you pay. I got the steak frites w/ a cup of the duck French onion soup - very good. Other picture was the house special (chicken morel pastry type bake) also very tasty.

It was a beautiful Labor Day Weekend day, our party of 4 was seated outside on the patio overlooking the water.... Our food was a decent portion, I don't remember much of the details now unfortunately except that my quiche and fresh berries were REALLYYYYYY GOOD! If you look at the photo, you can tell how perfectly the quiche is cooked and the berries are super fresh! The 2 items looked great and they tasted even better! So no complaints, a great view, anything by the water is a winner! I do recall our server being very friendly and attentive...and I remember we did have quite a few questions, she was also very patient! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area. There are a lot of places to choose from, don't miss this one. It's right in the heart of the little town!

This cleverly carved out waterfront café brings a taste of Europe to Northern Michigan. French, Italian and a wee bit of the Irish all in one bistro. It's a comfortable little niche' that's tastefully decorated fora harbor town that's a sure pleasure to visit. A little old world brought forward. The food is divine. Starting with the Duck French Onion soup. A diplomatic portion with an equally generous amount of Gruyère. The chunks of French bread complete this triumph! The combined creamy goodness and the sweet/spice of the Butternut Squash Bisque make it another winning start. The Chicken Marsala is a true triumph as well as the simple French dip sandwich. Our server, John, tells us it's made with bacon smoked pastrami. A definite must. If Tiramisù is offered, I'm obliging. This dish featured well saturated lady fingers with a mild, fluffy cream that provided a perfect balance. Not too rich, most certainly not bland. John is really the only member of staff we were exposed to. He was very professional, but ready to crack wise if you're up for it. It was fun! 10/23

Do they have any items on menu that would be good for those diners with a gluten sensitivity? Will be in the area next week and looking for dining options that would suit and be good for my wife and her gluten sensitivity.

Yes, they do. I asked & they just responded they DO have gluten free foods 👍🏼

The service was outstanding our waitress was incredibly kind and went above and beyond. We actually think she was also the bartender, and she made our evening feel even more lovely and memorable. From the moment we walked in, we felt special because of the way we were treated. We were seated at a lovely table and ordered two desserts: the Hazelnut Tart and the Crème Brûlée with Raspberry Purée, along with two mochas. The Hazelnut Tart was absolutely divine! Every single bite was better than the one before. My husband really enjoyed the Crème Brûlée, saying the raspberry gave it a delicious twist. The mochas were both great, although we noticed a difference in strength , mine was a bit stronger while his was more balanced, which was slightly disappointing but not a deal-breaker. Overall, it was such a lovely experience. The ambiance, the desserts, the drinks, and especially the exceptional service made us feel so valued and welcomed. We're definitely coming back to try the food next time!

The octopus was tender and my husband really enjoyed the tuna tartar special appetizer. I will say that there was very little burrata on my salad, which I was disappointed on compared to the price. The service was prompt but not overbearing and it was nice to sit outside with the ceiling heater on, which we decided after the AC was blasting inside. Overall a really nice visit. I would come back for another special occasion.

I was a little concerned that we would be under dressed but we dressed similar to the other patrons. We made a reservation and were greeted and seated promptly. Everything we had was superb. Kelly operated the market and ran the former lunchroom. I was very excited to try the restaurant at dinnertime and I was not disappointed. The dining room has maybe 15 tables. Its an attractive room, but dark. You do not come here for the view. While I loathe the term, the best description for the dining room is shabby chic. The menu features an assortment of special cocktails, 4 or 5 appetizers, and 6 or 7 entrees. I am always wary of places with menus that go on page after page. So I was okay with the smaller menu. They have a full bar. At my table we ordered a shrimp appetizer, that was paired with burrata, watermelon and corn. It looked beautiful and the burrata--hard to find up here--was great. We also had the crab cake appetizer which was also served with corn. It was great, with lots of crab. For entrees, I had the duck with a tasty Asian BBQ sauce. The duck breast was cooked just the way I liked it. While duck is not a rarity in the north woods, the pairing with the lighter Asian sauce was a nice touch. Also at the table was a rack of lamb. Frankly, that is what I hope to have next time. I stole a chop and it was out of this world. Tender and well flavored. Seriously, it was some of the finest lamb i have ever had, I only got to steal one chop. For dessert we had a chocolate delice, which was a frozen combination of chocolate and almond cookie. It was also great. I thought the prices were very cheap for fine dining up north. Put this restaurant in downtown Petoskey and each of the entrees would have been ten dollars more--at least. They do take reservations. It really filled up when we were there. I highly recommend you give this joint a try. I also recommend that you park on the side. Backing out onto 31 is not that fun.

The daily menu was crammed with the best local foods and in August when we visited that meant cherries, luscious vine ripened tomatoes, blueberries and more. In fact I hard a hard time narrowing down even the 4 salads as they all sounded fantastic as did the 10 appetizers. In the end we opted to share some things starting with the light crab "puffs" (really golf-ball-sized crab/rice cakes) which were delicious although a bit light on the accompanying sauce. Next we savored the small summer salad made with juicy dark purple tomatoes, fresh basil and slivers of mozzarella. Our entree was the pecan crusted white fish that was also nicely prepared. Note they add a somewhat outrageous charge for a split plate-around $16, so our fish ended up costing $66! For dessert we chose the turtle sundae festooned with crunchy toasted pecans and a house made caramel sauce. There's a nice wine list too. Service here was top notch with constantly filled water glasses and a very professional staff. I was really pleased and surprised to find a restaurant of this quality located in a tiny vacation hamlet. Highly recommended

While we love great food, we are not "foodies" who do well with super modern/unique takes on classics - and after perusing many menus of different restaurants in the area, we felt like Blu was the right mix of fancy but delicious and classic and we were not disappointed! Pro tip: book a reservation and look when sunset is - we did the 8pm seating with the sun setting around 9-9:30 and if was amazing. They have see through blinds, but raise them up for the sunset and many people walk out to go take a picture on the beach right outside! It's a small intimate restaurant, so in general booking a reservation is advised. The gnocchi was amazing and so flavorful with sun dried tomatoes and succulent shrimp. My spouse got the lamb and really enjoyed the garlic and sauce Robert- and was so happy that it wasn't traditional mint sauce with lamb. The scallops were extremely rich with the asparagus risotto. We did split a crème brûlée which was just okay (maybe a bit too eggy in the texture?) , but they do use real vanilla bean and overall we were stuffed at that point. They have an extensive wine list, cocktail list, and mocktail list which I appreciated as a lady on her baby moon trip :) best Shirley temple I've ever had with real homemade grenadine made from real cherries! Staff is attentive, kind, and always checking to make sure you're taken care of. Overall, yes it's pricey, but for the delicious food, view, overall fanciness - I think it's justified and worth it for a special occasion! We would love to come back in the future.
