Best place for coffee, food, snacks, socializing or studying for that college exam! I usually go there to study for my exams! It's a really friendly place with friendly people. The best part is, they put designs in your coffee! I remember the first time I got a Carmel latte, they put a bear in the foam and it made my day. Everything is amazing! The sandwiches on fresh homemade bread are filling and delicious. Every soup I've tried is something I've never made myself (nor will I!) there's a unique flavor in them that says Cafe Rosetta. Vegan chili was the last one I remember. Spectacular coffee- I tend to get a mocha latte or a frappe and it's always perfect. Salads super good as well- the combinations are flavorful and as good as dessert. We ordered a cinnamon roll and they told us they would heat it up and bring it out to us. They forgot about it, which is OK that happens sometimes. But when we asked an employee about it, she told us that she couldn't help us, we needed to go back to the kitchen and ask about it ourselves. Not the best customer service i have ever experienced. Rare hipster find in the UP. Got nothing but love for this place considering it has to be tough to offer Vegan, Organic and Gluten free options here in the back country. Had a great breakfast with 2 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and locally made rye bread with a side of homemade jam. We grabbed a cappuccino and an oatmeal cranberry walnut cookie on the way out and I was more than pleased with the result. The cappuccino leaned a little toward the latte side but I liked this place so much, I was willing to forgive it. If you are looking for a hidden gem in Yooper country, you should stop by. read more

Great place in historic downtown. Stopped for a quick breakfast during weekend trip to UP. Amazing barista: she created probably best cinnamon/ cardamom latte. Great foam art as well. Had light breakfast - hearty oatmeal and breakfast burrito. All tasty. Great spot. Just walking by I thought I wanted a coffee. When I walked in there were no customers and it looked very empty, I was worried. But I ordered a Carmel Latte. I only ordered a small cause I didn't think it was going to be that great. But I was WRONG! Not only did the gentleman serve me the most beautiful looking cup of coffee I have ever seen shy of on TV, but as soon as it touched my lips I knew it was one of the greatest cups of coffee I have ever had. Wow! I love being able to support a locally business owned by vegans. What a wonderful surprise to find a cafe with so many vegan and gluten-free options so far north. They even offer dishes that are a combination of gluten-free and vegan. The owners of the cafe prepare and serve the delicious food in a timely and efficient manner. They are very knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to help customers with food sensitivities navigate their choices. The ingredients for the food are organic when possible. They have fair trade coffee, organic beverages, a variety of hot sauces for toppings and even nutritional yeast. Oh, did I mention that everything is made from scratch and that there is a fully-stocked bakery case as well? The food itself is scrumptious, filling and affordable. I can't wait to eat at Rosetta again soon. The only reason that I did not give Rosetta a five star rating is because they do serve a handful of dishes that include dairy and meat products. As a vegan, I would love to see a meat and dairy-free menu. read more

Headed up to Calumet with some friends and tried this place out. Phenomenal food. We were saying how we wished we were coffee drinkers because the coffee setup in here looked outstanding. They had an awesome looking cappuccino maker and basically all of the locals were stopping in for their coffee and cappuccinos. read more

I don't know that you could find a better coffee in all the U.P. The Sisu Nisu was a rare treat and the food & desserts were incredible. The owner creates art with each drink and the atmosphere was friendly and warm. Highly recommended for a quick bite and a one of a kind coffee experience. Great job guys, keep it up!! read more

Although I do love this place, I am very disappointed that they took so much off their menu. They used to have so much more variety to their menu! They had awesome breakfast and lunch options! Sadly, I didn't try the food options, but I enjoyed my iced chai: creamy, cold, and spicy. It's definitely popular with teenagers, but the atmosphere was comfortable, and you really can't go wrong by placing your coffee shop in a historic building in Calumet. I'd go back. read more
