The food was surprisingly scrumptiously delicious and not cold. A very nice variety was served during the whole event. The owner had an event there and many vendors with their table of goodies to purchase from. Even with everything set out, there was plenty of room to stand and browse. I was very impress with the owner and inquired about holding a regular monthly event at their location. Amy was very accomodating and efficient. We will be discussing our plans with her and hope to have her venue on a regular basis. read more

We used Café Pacific to cater my daughter's wedding this past Saturday, 8.4.18. Right from the beginning we loved what they had to offer, their prices were reasonable, and the connection with Amber to proceed with the planning was fantastic! Amber always answered any questions quickly and completely. She was very good at interpreting my daughter's vision and preferences. She also had great suggestions. The day of the wedding the crew that came was great! They were warm and professional. Knew exactly where everything went with regard to decorations, etc... (I provided some of my own.) The servers were right on task, and very fun. I cannot say enough about Ari, our bartender. He was animated, talented and fun. Knew just when I need a "stress reliever". The food was presented beautifully, and appropriately with the venue. It was delicious and plentiful. Everyone kept asking specifically about the chicken though....it was totally incredible! I try to be health conscious but when I am working from my office in Auburn and I didn't bring anything from home it can be a bit hard. This place is very clean, nicely decorated and has a great selection of super fresh sandwiches and salads on the more gourmet side. I am a huge fan of the hummus wrap! I love the fact that I am supporting a local small business too! Never tried their catering service but I would feel pretty confident that it would be equally good! WARNING: Though absolutely tasty the hummus is loaded with garlic! So beware if meeting with clients directly afterwards unless you want to fumigate them with your garlic breath! read more

I was the one that raved about the chowder. Bob R. pretty much has it nailed. This was about the only place around that wasn't fast food, and it's a very pleasant surprise. I don't think I had anything there that wasn't completely satisfying. Did I mention the chowder was good? Maybe the tiniest bit salty, but LOTS of clam, and potatoes with the skin on...delicious. Chili's not bad, and they had a fish soup one day as a special that was extremely delicious. I only saw that one day - not sure if it was a rotating item or not. As far as sandwiches go, you cannot go wrong with their curry chicken salad, or their tuna salad. The tuna was good enough that I was willing to eat it for lunch and have awful tuna breath for the rest of the day. This is an excellent way to avoid another hamburger. read more

While I haven't actually had the chance to partake of their catering services, the Cafe Pacific is a breath of fresh air in the Auburn area when it comes to lunch options. Auburn, being somewhat industrial, is mostly limited to your standard fast-food restaurants at lunch, which is why this cafe is a welcome alternative. The cafe itself is only open during lunch hours (I want to say 10-2) and offers a wide variety of sandwich, salad, and soup options. I get the impression that the cafe was started as a way to test/try new recipes for the catering business, which I would guess is still their main business at this point. There's a new special every day, typically comprised of a unique half-sandwich and some sort of soup. These specials are generally worth strong consideration as they have not failed me yet. As far as the "usual" fare goes, it's all very good as well. Colleagues of mine raved about the chowder, but I typically leaned toward the chili. All of the sandwiches are made-to-order, and thus the service is a little slow, but well worth it. Based on the lunch crowd I've seen the several times I've stopped by, it may not be long before they consider making the cafe their main focus with the catering being an afterthought... This is a review for a wedding with a luncheon reception. This place is as good as it gets. My husband and I were baffled with all the catering options when we started planning our wedding. Cafe Pacific offered us a great deal on a barbecue lunch that everyone loved. They also went above and beyond with their decor and service. We almost had an issue with the grilling, but Cafe Pacific solved the problem on the spot. The grill we rented from the venue had a gas leak, but Cafe Pacific had brought theirs so there was no problem with getting their grill into the venue. Not having a grill would have been an absolute disaster, but this catering service ensured that nothing would go wrong with our day. This review is also coming from a bride who actually ate at her wedding and can say the food was good. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend Cafe Pacific Catering to others. read more

We used Cafe Pacific Catering for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Their server, Neal, came to our chosen venue, Wine World Warehouse's VIP Lounge in Seattle, with the food and everything needed for serving. He set up a buffet that was attractive, well-presented and organized, with the proper serveware. We chose the barbecue menu which included spareribs and chicken, 2 kinds of salads, delicious sautee'd green beans, corn muffins (which were a major hit with our sons!) and potato chips, and cookies for dessert. Really GOOD cookies! I ate everything but the chips. Finger licking food-pleasure. Cafe Pacific also included bottled water and canned soda in the menu price, which was great for our non-drinkers, because Wine World had beer & wine which we bought there for our guests. Cafe Pacific and Wine World were a perfect combination for this rehearsal dinner. It was lounge-style, classy yet casual, and we weren't stuck at restaurant tables, so our 40 guests could really mingle, which is nice when you're about to blend families in marriage. Neal was attentive to the needs of our guests, quietly busing tables and taking care of the little details that make professional catering ABSOLUTELY worth the investment. They were totally responsive and able to meet all my needs. I selected some items from the menu and requested them to check my size group and dietary restrictions would be OK. They worked the trays around to be spot on. They were early for two deliveries, and both times were so friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and the variety was good for all. GREAT BUSINESS. We used Cafe Pacific to cater our wedding and it was a pleasure working with them. We had looked into several catering options and Amy's menu was the one for my husband's tastes and my family's need for gourmet food. We decided to do a buffet after meeting with Amy at the cafe. Originally, they had quoted us for a plated meal, but after discussing the options with Amy (who is very professional and knowledgeable) we chose to go with a buffet which allowed us to add 3 passed hors d'oveures, 2 side dishes and the BAR for almost the same price as the plated meal alone. Great pricing? They have it. Wedding day, Reception: I'm a newly married woman and I am HUNGRY. The staff that Amy brought were amazing; they kept the appetizers roaming. When I almost passed out, one of her waiters kept vigil by my side and fed me stuffed mushrooms and rolls so that I would be able to continue enjoying the evening. The food on the buffet was presented beautifully and tasted better. I received SO many compliments from guests! The only thing that didn't work well was the single bar for such a large event. We had about 150 guests, which made for a long line during the cocktail hour. I would recommend that if you are having a large party or you have heavy drinkers, pay for the additional staff bartender. Amy has several options for host/no-host; we decided to host up to a certain amount, then change to a cash bar. This did not work unfortunately, because the bartender forgot to bring his cashbox. Luckily, our groomsmen made a mad dash to the QFC for a couple racks of beer! Other than that, this was a great vendor! read more

Another amazing showing from these veteran caterers. We have had them at countless events, always delicious and professional. Today I picked up appetizers for a party at my home. A nice variety: steak bites with a cimichurri sauce, chicken skewers, Cajun shrimp and guacamole on a cucumber boat and vegan fresh Thai spring rolls. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The steak bites were a perfect medium rare with a very flavorful sauce. The vegan spring rolls, you may expect to be bland, but they were fresh and flavorful and delicious. I hired cafe pacific for my wedding was originally expecting 150 and lowered to 130 once RSVPs started coming in. We wanted to do burgers and fries, who doesn't love a good burger?! I was assured this is something they do all the time in mass amounts for corporate picnics and other events. We arrived half way through cocktail hour and thought everyone had snatched up the appetizers as we didn't see them being passed at all, next day found out that wasn't the case as we had multiple boxes of leftovers. The food was delicious but they had given us turkey, beef and veggie burgers as well as regular and sweet potato fries and was hard to tell a difference and was no label. All was delicious so it didn't matter really. They put the left over cake into to go boxes for us but piled it on its side so was hard to cut into slices had to scoop like a bread pudding after that. None of this mattered too much and I would have ignored except scrolling through Facebook the following day I saw a post they made referring to my wedding as PAINFULLY detailed.... Not sure what's was so detailed about bringing food, things to prepare it, dishes and table cloths. They are caterers right so that is what they are being paid to do. Every bride loves to be told her wedding is painful so I was delighted to come across this. read more

Amy Hatcher was my contact and she made the whole process very easy. We planned for about 100 people. The menu choices were wonderful, and we decided on the turkey dinner. It was delivered in the perfect time and set up by the time the first individual came out the door. Vassa, our server did an absolutely wonderful job of setting up, serving, and cleaning up at the end. It all seemed perfectly timed and the food was hot and delicious. We had originally decided on going with Cafe Pacific and told them what our max budget was and were told it wouldn't be a problem. When we got our first invoice it was almost double what we told them we could afford. We asked why it was so much and were told "we added some extra items that we thought you would like" Well if we wanted or could afford them we would have asked for them. We were also charged 14.00 per person for our tasting (come to find out no one charges for tastings...) They also have a charge for usage and wear and tear on their equipment. Travel, gratuity and labor are NOT included in the original pricing either. After finding all this out and realizing it would not be possible to get what we wanted for 1000.00 over budget we went with Pac Island Grill instead, they were able to do just as much food for just about where we needed to be money wise. Sorry Cafe Pacific, we won't be recommending you. read more

We had my daughter's reception at our home in Enumclaw, and it took all the stress out of an already busy day (week) for me! The food was excellent, the staff professional and courteous. The guests raved about both the food and the service. They set up on our patio, and even brought their own awnings in case of spring rains. All the details were taken care of ahead of time with a contract online. All I had to do was mail the checks in! They showed up early, and set up themselves, requiring no help from anyone! Simply amazing, and the best thing I could have done to enjoy my daughter's special day! (I had read some of the reviews that were negative, and was a little bit worried, but in reading the contract carefully, and asking questions ahead of time, I had no problem.
