Best Thanksgiving Meal Ever!!!! This amazing business gives so much to our community! Last September, my son was in a serious car accident that resulted in him being in and out of the hospital and not eating solid foods for months. Our name was selected by EJs to receive a full thanksgiving meal. It was not just a meal to us. it exceeded all my expectations. I do believe there is magic involved for everything to taste so fresh and homemade. We've purchased multiple meals from them since a few years ago. We found them offering meals at a local pickup market. Since then, we've enjoyed every meal. The holiday specials they do are awesome. Today they offered Mother's Day specials, of which we chose the prime rib dinner. The coolest thing is that they'll modify to a keto friendly option when available. The meal came with a green salad, which was a great mix of greens, mixed vegetables, and stuffed mushrooms. This was the best meal we've had from them. My family absolutely loves this place. We order from here almost once a week! No where else can you get an excellent hot and ready meal for 6 people in Black Diamond under $50. Mon-Fri (including holidays) you can order online through their site or after 3pm day of on their Facebook posts. So don't fret if you forgot to order ahead. They also carry smaller meals with 3-4 servings. They even have gluten free and keto meal options available. The steak n shrimp, chicken pot pie and Parmesan potatoes are some of my favorite entrees and sides! My teens can't stop eating the Mac n cheese, even if it somehow made it to a 3rd day in a row! They can't get enough. Sometimes I have to buy a pan of just Mac n Cheese for them the next day. Heck, EJs makes salad and veggies taste great too! Their cheesy creamy keto vegetables are phenomenal. I really want to try the stroganoff so I'm going to order that next. On your next busy night, do yourself (and your sanity) a favor and order from EJs instead of cooking. Fantastic food-simply a thing to behold. My family and I got a few half order's (the only full size was the wings that are pictured). The aroma of food and the various flavors melding with one another was just spot on. Still hot even though the staff were busy and running around trying to fulfill their customers orders. All and all it was a wonderful meal and we have plenty of leftovers which is always a plus. I highly recommend this place as many have commented prior. This was our first experience and it was disappointing. For background info (my husband is a chef & aware of food handling, food safety, etc.) we love to support local small businesses which is why I placed an order. We got the meatball subs, homemade jojos and pasta salad. The bread was burnt on the ends (like charred black) inside was still soggy from the melted butter or oil. Didn't matter where you bit, it tasted like natural gas. Like the propane from grill. The homemade jojos were so gross. They were soggy, tasted rancid, most definitely cooked day prior (big no no with potatoes) and I took one bite and they went straight to the trash. Pasta salad was the only semi-decent thing & he almost forgot to give it to me when I picked up. We will not be a repeat customer. read more

We had EJ's cater our daughter's wedding and I can't express enough how impressed we were. The food was terrific, stayed warm and they promptly served all 250 guests. I heard compliments all night long of how impressed our guests were with dinner. EJ's staff was professional, attentive to our guests and worked so hard al night. The more I think about the food that was delivered to my son and daughter-in-laws otherwise PERFECT wedding the more disappointed I get. It was inedible!! The chicken was not the chicken ordered, the shrimp was so over cooked that it was mush, the steak was leather, the potatoes were not as ordered, and the risotto was burnt. Your servers were the only redeeming quality but what you served was awful. None of us let it ruin the otherwise perfectly planned day, but as a caterer you should be ashamed of yourselves. I am impressed! This week; 12-17-19 We ordered the chicken fried chicken, potatoes, carrots, and dinner rolls. It was, 20 minutes early, and delicious! We ate too much! Then on 12-18-19, we had the steak, potatoes, shaved Brussels, (with tons of bacon) and bread. This time they were, on time ( you pick a delivery window) the steaks were tender, full of flavor. The potatoes were awesome, and the Brussels are so good, I'm a fan now! Again it was delicious and, again we ate to much! Now for the same amount of money, as 4 chips and sandwiches, at the local sub shop. ($46 after tax) I can have these meals. Right after Christmas, I'll be ordering every week. read more

We had EJ's for my daughter's high school graduation party. I called a few weeks early and they were already booked, but Michelle was able to squeeze us in. After reading the reviews, we went all in with EJ's for our Christmas Dinner to the tune of over $500. Following are the results, which were unanimous with our family: 1. Prime Rib - Bland preparation and over 1-1/2 lbs. of fat on an 8 pound rib roast. How do you ruin prime rib?? 2. Ham - overpowering fruity sauce that we washed off before anyone would eat it. 3. Stuffing - Very dry and under seasoned. Had potential, but fell short. Too salty to even put on potatoes or stuffing. 4. Gravy - A total salt bomb. Got two sides and threw them both away. 5. Cheesy Potatoes - Whole Yukon Golds for a start, more tasteless, cream dressing than cheese. Should have been prepped more like au gratin potatoes. Threw 3/4 of the pan away. 6. Roasted Veggies - Tasteless and in large pieces, to spite. 3/4 to trash. 7. Green Beans - Nothing to talk about. No special seasoning. Chickens wouldn't even eat them. 8. Mac and Cheese - Clunky, dry and tasteless. Was it cheese powder? More than 1/2 thrown away. 9. Fruit Crisp - Sour canned cherry pie filling. Pfft. The mashed potatoes had flavor but were dry and not at all creamy. We are a family that has traveled extensively and have used caterers in the past, all with good outcomes. Hopefully, we were just the last order and, thus, drew the short straw. read more

We hired EJ's based on a recommendation for our wedding and we are SO glad that we did! We mainly worked with Michelle during the planning process and she was so easy to work with and really listened to what we wanted. Communication was great and any changes we wanted to make there were no questions asked and were accommodated. We did a buffet style of different pastas, salads, and sides. Every one of our guests that we have spoken to has ranted and raved about how it was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We also had passed hors d'oeuvres during our cocktail hour that were delicious! The staff they brought in were super friendly and interacted with our guests which made it a great atmosphere during the cocktail hour and while dinner was being served. We had a bigger wedding of 200+ and during dinner being served the staff made sure nothing was ever empty which kept the line moving. Our venue did not have a kitchen on site but you would have never known EJ's had to prepare it before arrival because of how fresh everything was! Once dinner was over they were quick to clean up and were discreet while doing so since dinner had also been served where the reception was taking place. Overall, the experience was beyond our expectations and EJ's really was able to give us peace of mind when it came to our big day. Which if you have ever planned a wedding is HUGE. My daughter's physical therapist recommended EJ's as a great option to have for a home cooked meal that you can have delivered... I've been working a lot of OT right now and cupboards were getting a little bare so I decided let's try it out..I had to make a quick call first since my daughter has a peanut allergy and first phone interaction was excellent. We decided on the jambalaya and the online ordering process couldn't be easier...Delivery was spot on (I chose the 4:45 time slot).. Delivery interaction was also excellent, the gentleman who was delivering was very friendly and made sure that I would be okay with the trays since they were hot... My family converged immediately to the kitchen where before we even opened our trays up there were lots of oohs and aahs of how amazing the food smelled.. And our food was delicious! Everyone loved the flavors on the jambalaya (very flavorful).... And my daughter who is not generally a fan of Caesar salad loved it! She had 3 servings.. Oops maybe I wasn't supposed to share that... Loved the nice finishing touch of the flower which we put in her hair..And so happy that we have leftovers! Wow! So I kept seeing this EJ's Custom Catering on Facebook and was intrigued, but assumed this was for large parties at venues, so I never inquired further. Wow! What a mistake... I guess they send out a menu with maybe 3 options every week to choose from. You can order for 3-4 people and it goes up from there. And tons of add ons from mac & cheese to cranberry salad and I don't know what else. Tons! So we decided to order chicken, pasta and salad for 3-4 adults. A-maz-ing!!!! Chicken with pesto, tomatoes, mozzarella and balsamic. Don't worry, there's plenty! Pasta with marinara and cheese on top. Caesar with dinner rolls. Did I say Wow? Oh, and don't forget the little cupcakes that you can order. Not sure the company they come from (don't think EJ's makes them in house) but they are soooo good and EJ'S is smart to partner with whoever the heck they are! Just all around great experience. EJ catered a birthday party for our extended family last week that was VERY reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Each dish tasted like homemade, but even better--with a chef's seasonings and artistry. The portions are large, and we enjoyed leftover salads and yummy pulled pork the following day.
