This place is amazing... dare I say BOMB? Alicia's charcuterie boards are worth it, she goes above and beyond to make your experience with her a memorable one. My husband and I celebrated with a personal charcuterie box when we finally moved back into our house after a remodel, it was the perfect mix of gourmet cheese, meat and nuts topped with her own personal touch. When she opened her Brook and Mortar storefront, I just knew I HAD to stop by. I got two of her gourmet sandwiches and let me tell you, there is simply nothing out there like this. The blend of sweet, spicy and savory is just what you're craving right now... I already know it. I can't wait to go back and try one of everything on the menu. AND BONUS she has lunchables for the littles because you already know they're going to want something but probably don't want brie! And if they do... good on you mama!

My wife and I received a Bomb Charcuterie box from a friend. It was filled with different meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, chocolates and other goodies. Also comes with crackers. It was AWESOME! We loved it so much we got another one for us and a second one for our friend who is a neighbor. They loved it as well! I also ordered a Zesty Sicilian sandwich with Pepperoni, Salami, Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, peppercinies, Sweet Hot Mustard, Mayonnaise and Italian Seasonings. My wife got the Sweet Creature sandwich with Turkey, Boursin cheese, Argula, Raspberry Habenero Preserve. Also got a couple bags of chips (sadly no Jalepenio flavor, but the Honey Mustard was tasty). The sandwiches were big and very tasty, served on a large roll. But the best part are the items in the Charcuterie boxes. So tasty and filling, and with a variety of items. The owner and other employees are friendly and quick, but you'll have to order the Charcuterie boxes ahead of time (day before). It is worth the wait, trust me. Give em a try. You won't be disappointed.

Alicia catered our wedding reception and it was amazing! Tons of food and a great variety. She was extremely pleasant to deal with and we look forward to using her services again!

Perfect sandwich portion for sharing! I had the Sicilian sandwich and it was delicious! So many flavors that complimented each other.

Alicia was incredible and produced the most beautiful spread for our wedding in September. She and her husband worked with us to create the overall vision and worked extensively (even providing custom decor!) to bring it to life. The charcuterie was one of the best parts of the day, the guests absolutely loved the food and still talk about it 2+ months later! If you have any hesitations, pick Bomb Charcuterie :)

We planned on 50 people and she provided enough food to feed all of the personnel at JBLM. OK, that may be a slight exaggeration but there was sooooooo much food no one went hungry and there was plenty for people to take leftovers home. My wife and I are mexican food connoisseurs and I'm telling you, Cindy's taco bar with all the fixins was some of the best we've ever had. In addition to the amazing food, Cindy's set up and clean up were also amazing. We didn't do anything except enjoy the party! Thank you so very much Cindy!!!

Do you have a big event coming up, like a baby or wedding shower, birthday party, retirement party, etc.? Do you not feel like making the food yourself or doing a potluck with your family who can barely make toast? Still want that home-cooked taste, attention to detail and display that To Go doesn't offer? Look no further than Cindy's business! (*edit to add, my family CAN cook... sorry mom) While planning my daughter's 1st birthday party, I had lots on my mind. I realized I did not want to organize and cook all the food while trying to clean AND decorate. Yelp and Cindy's Kitchen reviews to the rescue....! Cost was extremely reasonable. She took my order over the phone, and payment was simple through app/invoice sent to email. Even better, Cindy delivered all the food right on time, set up, and picked up her platters afterward! We ordered the turkey & ham sliders, veggie pizza, mac & cheese, and Italian pasta salad. ALL delicious, plentiful portions (many took home leftovers!) and what a great menu to choose from. When Cindy is rich and famous, I hope she remembers the little people like me who appreciated her talent way back when. :)

There's ample parking that's paved or across the street on gravel. The food looked amazing in photos, but I wouldn't say it was as good as it looked or sounded in descriptions. It was generally very tasty, but everything felt like it was missing just one ingredient that would make it better. It could be that I'm just more used to ethnic flavors and these were just not quite hitting the mark. For example the stratciatella was good, but if the whipped ricotta was a little more fluffy and there was some extra black pepper or lemon added it would have been perfect. The pork belly was a little dry and not worth the price for just three pieces. The thick cut truffle fries were very good however. We also tried the bucatini and it was nice but still I wanted a little more kick. It has spice but just needs a little something to punch it up. The steak sandwich two of the three of us sharing a meal loved and I'd say was the best thing we ate. The service staff was kind, considerate and gave us time and made sure our drinks were filled. There are still a lot of dishes I'd like to try and since I loved the area, it would be worth coming back again.

We joined the online waitlist at 1:00 PM on a Sunday. While we were seated fairly quickly, we still had to wait in a long line just to speak with the host to check in. The restaurant was completely packed well past 2:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill once we sat down. It took forever just to place our order. Our chowder arrived about 10 minutes later, but it tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the accompanying dinner roll was completely flavorless and factory-made. Since we were hungry, we ate it quickly anyway. It took 45 minutes for our entrees--a Country Fried Steak and a California Benedict--to arrive. By 3:00 PM, we were famished, which made it all the more disappointing to discover our food was cold, soggy, and hard. The cubed fries, scrambled eggs, and English muffin tasted like they had been sitting on a counter for 20 minutes before being brought to our table. For a restaurant advertising a "farm-to-table" concept, the eggs, salad, croutons, and muffin felt entirely mass-produced. The service was equally disappointing; our server never returned to refill our water. While the atmosphere is nice and the space is large enough to fit over 100 people, they seemed severely understaffed. The host stand was backed up, it took too long to order, and the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. For $23 a plate, I expect significantly better quality in both the food and the service.

They don't serve alcohol so don't try to order a beer (which would have gone good with the meat.) It is a little hard to find so use a GPS. There is only one entrance into the little mall and it is around the corner. When we walked in, I thought, "Oh no, it's just a take-out," but there is a dining room off to the left. We thought it was interesting that there were firemen there, ordering take-out smoked meat, but that just meant that the place had good food. The service was very good, even on a Friday night. I had ribs and brisket, and my husband had ribs. The portions were very large. The brisket was tender and smoky. There was BBQ sauce on the table but the meat did not need anything. My husband thought the ribs were just a little chewy. When we BBQ ribs we like the meat to be so tender it just falls off the bone. The smoky meat, however, was wonderful. Don't be grossed out but I took the bones home to make soup stock, and they are boiling in chicken stock right now. Dinner was not cheap. For two entrees of meat including 2 sides, 2 corn bread muffins, an iced tea, coffee and tip, dinner was $100 for two people. This, of course, did not include any alcohol. Would we go here again? Maybe. We can do smoked ribs as well as they can but we would not try to do brisket.

Before I came, I looked at the reviews and there seems to be a lot of different mixed messages. For one if you're a regular customer and come in often, the employees seem to treat you much better, and when it comes to food they seem to have the better pick of food from the kitchen. As I read through one review they frequently come, they said that they are definitely changes in the service and the quality of food just within the last year or two. Given more history, I did hear that after Covid the restaurant lost certain companies that they used to get their food from which could explain the downgrade in the quality. I only took one picture because in all honesty it really wasn't worth me taking others and I don't understand why a side salad literally a third of the plate was eight dollars. The cucumbers had gone bad and some of the lettuce had even been wilted. The salad definitely was not worth eight dollars. I have had side salads with fresh ingredients for the same price at a dive bar and this is supposed to be a very well-known kind of upscale barbecue place that's in a well-known community that supports their business. The server was also mediocre and I honestly don't believe it would've been better but we were with a well-known customer, the employees seem to be a little bit more friendly, but definitely did not go out of way to make sure my meals were good. The macaroni and cheese taste very bland. There was not a whole lot of seasoning to it. Some of my brisket was dry and some of it was cold so that makes me wonder how long it's been sitting. The brisket was also kind of a seasoned, but not very well. The Tri-tip also was dry which I don't recommend getting. I did enjoy the baked beans and potato salad, but be aware because some cups of beans have mainly onions and bell pepper with barely any beans and some of the cups have no onions and peppers with just all beans. I have had a lot of barbecue in this state being a native of Kansas City and relatives from Texas. I know what good food is especially barbecue! I guess for this area it's one of the better places to go. The only other location that's nearby is Jack's barbecue which is their specialty is beef ribs, but they put literally pepper in everything so there's no flavor at all except for spicy!!!! At least at this restaurant, I'm not drinking a gallon of water because everything is so spicy like at Jack's but that's for another review. Thank you again for your support and following my review's. Has always be safe out there and I'll see you at my next bite!
