i love the concept of this dessert place! this is definitely a must go if you're craving korean bingsoo as they have so many flavors and items to try. the eating area is spacious and perfect for both big and small groups. we got the mango cheesecake bingsoo, tiramisu bingsoo, croffle, and nutella honey toast! the mango cheesecake had chunks of the basque cheesecake and although it was a bit frozen, the flavor was so good! the mangoes were fresh and sweet on their own. my favorite part of the tiramisu bingsoo were the chocolate cereal on the bottom, adding a nice crunch to the treat! read more

So good! This cool place looks tiny but has a "secret" entrance to the back seating area which is cool. My friends ordered the waffles with two different fruits and I ordered the chocolate snowflake. It took a bit of time for them to make everything because the waffles take a bit longer, but the wait was worth it! Overall, everything was delicious! I've been following this place on IG before they opened, was really excited. However, a lot of the items they post on their IG are unavailable or seasonal. This can be misleading and I did not see a seasonal menu when I walked in the store. Their menu is a lot more plain than what they typically post. I came here to try their strawberry cream cake, which looked amazing on IG but in person, it's just a basic korean strawberry cream cake. They also do not make any of their baked goods there, it's all bought from some mysterious bakery. The cashier was clearly not knowledgable about the products, if i wanted to entice my customers, I would explain more in detail about where i get my products. Especially being a new business. For all I know they are just buying from Shilla Bakery. The person making the desserts didn't seem to appreciate that we were new customers either. Nonetheless, they charged us for the Strawberry cream cake and a nutella honey toast. The cashier came back 5min later and told us they were out of the cake. I ended up ordering a strawberry bing soo or "snowflake" as they call it. On IG, it has cornflakes on it but on their menu, it just looks like snow, strawberry ice cream, and a macron. I asked the cashier if the cornflakes came on it and she said yes. Cool. I started to walk towards my table to sit back down but i had to pay an extra $7 for the snowflake. I get that the cake and snowflake are different prices buuuut usually --as someone who has worked in the restaurant business for about 8 yrs--you won't charge a guest, esp a new one, for the inconvenience. I paid it reluctantly because I didn't want to make a fuss on my day off. Also I ordered an iced espresso and the guy in the back told us that we couldn't do that. I'm not sure why. They had cold brew. Maybe they didn't want to serve something that wasn't visually pleasing? So I just asked them to give me an extra cup with ice so i could make it myself. GEEZ! The toast was good and the only good thing. The ice cream, macron, and snow were mediocre. The espresso was nothing special. I'm not sure why they charge so much. Again this would be a GREAT reason to explain where your products come from and why they are more special than other desserts in town. Maybe I'd feel a little better spending money on it. OVERALL, they could have saved this experience if they had better customer service. If they had to charge me more money after telling me they didn't have the cake, they could have thrown in an extra 'something', maybe a coffee or an extra macron. Something to show they care about their customers coming back. There were just no efforts at all. In addition, when we first walked in, we stood there for a good 60sec to 2min without acknowledgment. No one was at the front desk and no one jumped up to come greet us. In a restaurant we have 30secs to great a table, even in casual dining. Again, I could have looked past these things but no there were no efforts to even try to entice me to be a loyal customer. So here is your review. read more

A very unique dessert and boba place. The boba is ok but what is really great here are the dessert dishes. The snowflake is very interesting - tried the matcha one and it was good. Very sweet. Lots of random things thrown together! There was red bean, Frosted Flakes, matcha mochi, and other things I couldn't even identify. I've also had the honey butter cubes here - like cubes of toast drizzled with honey and served with ice cream. This is my favorite thing I've had here so far. I'll definitely be back to try other things! Another great thing about Who Seek is the "hidden room" in the back. When you walk in to the store it is dimly lit, not much seating, dark colored walls. But if you walk to the back wall it will automatically slide open and you'll find yourself in an all white, spacious and comfy dining area. This is a crazy place! My family of four shared a strawberry snowflake (bingsoo) bowl and it was plenty for us. So for $12 we got four desserts. That's a good deal. Mrs. W recommends the "Ade" sodas, which she tried on a previous visit. My daughter, on the other hands, says there is better boba tea to be had in the area. The hidden room is a trip. I love this sweet addition to the Chantilly area. When you enter the place, you'd think it's just a small dessert shop with limited seating. But then you walk towards the back through a "book case" sliding door into a brightly lit room with plenty of seating. It's as if you're transported into an entirely different place. I visited with my family and we ordered a few drinks along with the honey toast and green tea "snow" concoction. The honey toast was absolutely delicious and probably my favorite in the area. I liked that it's cut into cubes instead of one large chunk of bread. This gave the perfect crispy exterior with a pillowy interior. The green tea snow was a work of art with plenty of goodies as toppings. I enjoyed this as well since it had a more creamy consistency and not chunks of ice like some other spots. Came in on a Tuesday night, and the place was quiet though there were 3 other tables occupied besides ours. They changed the decor a bit but it still looks cool. I came in more for the cute interior design rather than the food but surprisingly enjoyed the honey bread cubes. Rose sparkling water (I think that's what it's called) looked really pretty and tasted nice, though I would say it's a bit too sweet for me and after a few sips there's really nothing interesting about it... The place is worth checking out if you're into the whole instagram friendly and esthetically pleasing cafe shops. Wouldn't say I'd be a frequent guest here since the menu is somewhat limited. Make sure to bring a friend or 2 because these desserts are huge! They're intentionally made that way to share with others. We shared the Tiramisu snowflake and it was pretty good. It had coffee ice cream, 2 kinds of wafer cookies, shaved ice, cocoa powder, some chocolate cereal flakes (I think) and some more ice cream at the bottom. I definitely want to try the cube desserts, they smelled delicious! The cubes are thick pieces of toast drizzled in honey or other flavors. I ordered the Tiramisu Snowflakes, Nutella Coffee and Sweet Potato latte. The Snowflake was really good and the price was worth it. Found it! Our family really enjoyed Who Seek, especially the Snow Flake and boba. The taste was of quality ingredients, not the cheap sugar taste. We have been to many different bakeries and ice creameries. However, this place by far, is the best we have visited. Very modern all around, but as other reviews say, you walk in to a small counter with clearly posted menu. The descriptions were excellent for helping to chose what to get, especially for newcomers. Once you order, you are asked to go to the back to wait for your order. I was so pleasantly surprised. It felt like you were walking into a hip NYC cafe. The customer service was fantastic. This place has improved since they first opened. I ordered the misugaru (mixed grain) latte and matcha honey cube toast. The toast was less like croutons (the way it was prepared the last time I tried it) and was a bit softer. However, i think this would have been better if each honey cube had been toasted more evenly as some cubes were harder than others. It would have also been more diner friendly if they had cut the cubes into more bite size pieces. And maybe some matcha powder mixed with the honey over the cubes rather than only having honey drizzled over the cubes and a scoop of matcha ice cream on the side. read more

It is nice to have a dessert option like this close to Loudoun County and the concept is cool. but the dessert definitely lacks freshness and flavor. Both of our lattes were almost room temp and were "watered" down. the back room looks clean at first but with a closer look, tables weren't wiped down, dirty plates and trays were piled up next to the service window and there were no clean utensils at the time. Pretty cool dessert place, another new addition to the area. The front area where you can order your bubble tea, coffee, and / or desserts is dark, dimly lit and quiet, and we appeared to be the only customers there. Walking around the cashier to the back of the place, you will find a sliding door leading to the seating area. The seating area was jammed packed. It was very bright and all the decor was white. It was a cool contrast from the front area We ordered the snowflake matcha dessert to go. It was $12, which included a 10% discount because we dined a Taste of Korea a couple of doors down. It is a huge portion tho. The snowflake dessert is crystallized milk with matcha powder, green tea mochi, and a macaroon. It was probably too much for two people but we did it justice. The concept of the store too was new for the area (order in front where it's kinda dark and whatever looking, then go to the "secret" bookcase door to the all-white & bright back). There are so many Korean dessert places in the area now, so I think it's easy to be harsh by comparison. This place has been open for a relatively long time compared to some of these new places popping up on people's stories like every other day it seems. So I guess people are bored or maybe less excited about this place. The food/drinks don't really stand out. You can get the same type and quality of foods anywhere else. I don't think they're bad by any means, but the food alone isn't reason enough for me to go back. The last time I was there, I noticed that the place itself is starting to show signs of its age. When summer hits, it is obvious to think you want some Korean Bingsoo which is the shaved ice with various toppings. My wife and I stopped by the shop right after we had dinner at the Taste of Korea. I love their coffee selection and I chose Affogato and my wife had Snow Bingsoo. I would say they nailed it in terms of the originality. The decorations and the ambience was very surprising. You will feel the same as soon as you walk inside. Great choice of tables and chair. The service is also quick and simple. I heard that they are always coming up with new menu items everyday basis! You order your food and then open a secret door that leads you into a bright and extremely aesthetically pleasing lounge. Decided to come check this place out because it's been a huge hype for awhile now. Came in, I was greeted nicely right away. I decided to get the milk tea boba which was $6, and had the option to add snow in it so I went for it. I also ordered the strawberry honey cube toast which was $10.50. After I ordered my food, I went into the room and the place was definitely aesthetically pleasing. Super cute room so I was excited for the food. When I got my food, the first I tried was the boba. The boba was honestly not good sadly. It was very tasteless, you can barely taste the tea in it, and it seemed to have too much milk. The boba was very hard and I was expecting it to taste like honey boba but sadly, it didn't even come close to it. I would rate the boba 1.5/10. I really hope they improve their milk tea. For the toast, it was decently good. I enjoy the crispy buttery toast with honey plus it was easy to eat since they were cut in small pieces. What I did not appreciate was how they did NOT use fresh strawberries. The strawberries they used were definitely defrosted frozen strawberries so they were extremely mushy. If I am paying $10.50 for it, at least have fresh strawberries. If I were to come back, I would try the fruit teas instead and since it has been talked about, I would try their matcha toast. Overall, cute place and good customer service but the food for me was below average. I would rate this place 2/5 stars but the customer service and atmosphere made up for the extra star. read more

I came here with a bunch of friends and ordered the chocolate snowflake and matcha honey bread. The chocolate snowflake was a pretty ordinary bingsoo, however I do prefer Manoa. The honey bread on the other hand was unforgettable. My mouth is watering as I write this. The bread itself was so fluffy and already cut into little pieces for you. The back room was very white, bright, and minimal. Be sure to check out the bathrooms as well! read more
