    HEAVENLY DESERT CROISSANT

Nice little cafe that serves smoothies, chai, breakfast tacos. We had quiche bites which were okay but the star of the show was the dessert croissant, which was HEAVENLY!! It's a small restaurant and the guys making the food did it all so the service didn't miss a beat. This is a must go place!!! Note: they're only open Thursday-Sunday.

Order via kiosks. Tiny venue. Seats about 20. Known for croffles: croissant dough pressed in waffle iron; filled with sweet or savory.

Pronounced "MARE-ree-uh" -- at least that is what I overheard the staff say. Service. FRIENDLY because they asked if it was our first time -- since we did not immediately walk over to one of the kiosks to place a "contactless" order -- when we came in. Or, maybe it was the slightly confused-deer-in-headlights-look we had because the place was VERY snug, to say the least? Using order tablet was intuitive, but what if you wanted a 12 oz. pour in a 16 oz. cup? And wanted a sugar packet on the side? Then, you are limited to the options. Potable. Shots in the Dark was OK. Ambiance. Perfect for EXTROVERTS because you hear EVERY conversation in the place at normal conversation level. So, there's a couple that was in town for doing tasting menus for their wedding stuff... gaggle of gals for bachelorette party and posting their experience on socials... remote workers on laptops listening in the cafe conversations. It's a fishbowl experience. Overall, it was.... ok. Coffee was ok. I am usually not in the mood to engage and kumbaya when I vacation. But you know, do whatever blows your hair back...

We were craving iced latte, so I found this place and was intrigued with the vegan matcha soft serve, so we had to give it a try. The staff was very friendly, but I was a little confused with the way they do the business.. you can't ender the Cafe unless you dine in. If not, you have to order at the kiosk on the other side of the building and pick up your items from a window. It felt a little rude to me. I get the new era of doing business, but for some reason, the big sign at the entrance that you can't enter did not sit well with me. Anyway, we got into the ordering screen, and it took us like 10 minutes to figure out how to order what we wanted as any kind of customization you can do (even choosing between iced or hot) you make in mamy steps after selecting the base. Finally, we got what we wanted. Tables outside were pretty dirty, but the staff quickly cleaned them for us. Matcha vegan soft serve was good, and I liked that they had 4 different kinds of waffle cones to go with it, all of them vegan too. I went with the matcha waffle cone but was a little disappointed as both the soft serve and the cone didn't have much of a matcha flavor. The iced coffee was good, and the pineapple smoothie was very refreshing.

I went here on a Thursday morning and had a great experience! The cafe wasn't super busy, and everything was really delicious. The ambiance was very chic and had a solid vibe. The food here was really good. I got the avocado toast + a Nutella banana croffle. The bread for the toast was great, and the avocado was yummy. I wish i had gotten the smoked salmon topping though. The croffle was really good. Their croissant dough was nice and buttery + crisp. I'd get the strawberry one (the tartness & cream was amazing) next time or the plain (as it could definitely be delicious on its own). The staff was really nice there too! They had our food and drinks out quickly. I'd for sure come back here again! I hope the construction clears up by their location

The food is great and it's not too pricey the service was very great and they have board games. The coffee is like nothing I've tasted it's super rich and super creamy and rich plus the place is super comfortable. Shane and Mr Dallas are great people but they suck at uno

Açaí bowl but my kids already dug into it so it's not as pretty

We couldn't have been more pleased with this adorable little place. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, a very local feel and the man who waited on us was super nice and accommodating. The food was delicious, definitely healthy and homemade and we left feeling light, nourished and full. I was impressed with the clean and high quality ingredients. It's not a very big place but still very warm, comfortable and there's small tables you order at which I found to be efficient. I would love to visit again and get the ginger lemon elixir or trying making it myself at home!

Such a cozy, fancy coffee shop. I usually get the affogato. The service is always friendly and the food and drinks are perfectly made. Great place to hang out with friends and chat or to go alone with a good book. Cafe Meria is a great addition to Charlevoix.

Was staying right above the place while visiting and went for a quick lunch. I got a custom banana…read morebowl with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberries and nutella. The bowls are pretty dense, and they do not skip on the toppings. It was quite a refreshing meal. I was happy with the quality and quantity of food for what I paid. The staff was helpful to ensure us they could support our allergens which i really appreciated.

So I think it would be pretty obvious by looking at me, that this would not be my ideal place to…read moreeat. And you would be correct. Not that I don't enjoy healthy food, I just want as much food as possible and in as much quantity as possible. But, sometimes when you're traveling with other people, you have to give in to other options. That being said, I'm glad I was able to find something enjoyable. Which would have been difficult because there were so many choices to be made. I could come back three times a day for fifteen years and try sketching new each time. I could also be lying. But seriously. Choice variety 10/10. My choice bowl was a kale/banana/pineapple/coconut milk base (green bowl), with sliced bananas, blueberries, granola, and hemp seeds. I like fruity/citrusy/juicy fruits, so this sounded the best. I had zero expectations, but was pleasantly surprised. The decision to mix it all together was probably a good one and I ended up eating it all like a weird green bowl banana blueberry cereal. It was a little less fruity than I expected, but still had solid flavor. Taste level 7/10. Because I'm a gluttonous hound, I also thought it would be fun to get a smoothie to add to my already expanding gut. I chose the kowabunga with included banana, blueberry, pineapple, and coconut milk. I expected it to sweeter than it actually was. Though I expect all my foods to be sweet. Flavor profile 6/10. The atmosphere was pretty much par for the course for an establishment like this. Nice open area, waiting chairs, dine in. Several people waiting for to-go orders. The service wasn't terrible. Two workers running the show. That could very well have been the reason there was such a wait on our food. Though I can't imagine putting all the things we ordered together was a speedy situation. Service speed 6/10. Service accuracy 10/10. The three stars ultimately came from the flavors of the items I got not meeting my flavors criteria. And as a certified Chunky Monkey, I need my flavors.
