Came here to try out the 2-for-1 deal during Yelp's Vegan Viking week. My friend and I were really…read moreexcited to try the Vegan Daal that was advertised as part of the deal but unfortunately they said they sold out of it Tuesday (the first day of the deal) and didn't know if/when they were going to have anymore before the deal ran out later this week. Anyways, we tried the Pumpkin soup instead and it was really good! I was pleasantly surprised how full I was after the soup but it was very thick. The soup was topped with some fresh herbs, cauliflower and roasted nuts and came with two small pieces of bread on the side. The soup was very tasty and a decently sized portion but I would have never paid full price for it (85kr). The 2-for-1 deal was a good way to try the soup but unfortunately I don't think I'll get it again because of the price. I may go back to try the salads instead because many people around us had them and they looked amazing (and were around the same price as the bowl of soup). The cafe entrance is a little hard to find at first, but just go around the corner into the little alley way and you'll see the door on the side. Inside there are quite a few seats and the lighting is somewhat dim so it feels very cosy inside.

I really like the idea of Hafnia Bar but the execution is not great. I aimed to find this place to…read morehave a nice healthy meal but it was packed and very chaotic when I got here. There was a big family of 8 or 9 people arriving just after me, all looking to eat, so I thought I give food a miss and just try one of the juices. Quick in and out, right? Wrong. It took more than 20mins after ordering until I got my juice. Not sure if they were understaffed (3 people taking orders and prepping juices/ smoothies) or just had a bad day but in Dublin anyone would have walked out. That aside, the juice I had was nice, obviously fresh and the salads that were on offer that day looked lovely as well.

I have been eating Paleo for 3 years and it's hard to find convenient places while traveling. This…read morecafe makes it easy since EVERYTHING is paleo! The commitment to health and the paleo lifestyle is what made me give it an extra star. If it was a regular cafe, I would not recommend. I ordered... Open face chicken wrap: 4/5. It was a large portion and tasted good but not great. Not memorable. Could have used more pesto. There was A LOT of almonds and avocado - more than a reasonable meal should have. Seed bread: 5/5. Very delicious and fills the craving for real bread. Would have been better heated up instead of being served cold from the fridge. Location: I tried to visit one evening at 6pm because their online hours were listed as being open til 7pm, but they actually were already closed. There was another customer in front of me who had also read the incorrect information and we were both turned away. Otherwise the interior is nice and comfortable but a bit messy with dirty dishes left on tables and not cleared within a few minutes. The kitchen looked like a mess with smoothie juice on the floor. It looked like the blender exploded.

Palæo's newest location is on a nice little strip of street in Central Copenhagen with the likes of…read moreRaw42 as its nextdoor neighbor. Makes you feel healthy just walking by, what with all the low carb / healthy juices / raw foods hanging around (beginning to think this was a strategic move). Fairly cheap and easy dinner of a chicken wrap (the wrap is made out of egg and coconut flour) and a beet/celery/carrot juice and this girl is a happy camper with a happy belly. A fantastic alternative to other comparable meals in the area which are twice as expensive and ten times as unhealthy. It's a damn shame that neither the Palæo in Torvehallerne, nor the one here on Pilestræde, are close to my house. I would probably come here daily, if that were the case. Pro-tip: they sell low carb pastries here, like coconut muffins, nut breads, and various other paleo friendly snacks if you need a treat on the run and are trying to resist visiting Lagkagehuset.
