Best fried chicken I've ever had. I'm not sure how they battered the chicken but wow was it tasty!! Great atmosphere. waiter was very good and attentive. He checked in with me twice throughout my meal. No complaints with this place. If your going out to eat in Denmark might as well get some high end food because it is expensive regardless.

Swung by for a jet lagged meal. Got a mussel dish that was sour and salty just like my personality. Mom used a nicely provided blanket that had a bug on it, making her *yelp* - +1 Star. Solid Carlsberg and service and great pub name

We had a nice meal and a couple of great local beers here in July 2019. They did have vegan options as well

I went for the 7 course chef's tasting with wine pairing and we paced it out to a 4 hour dining experience.

He made sure to get us some aquavit for the meal (usually drank with herring, strong alcohol that has a taste like caraway seeds), and some snaps. We had porse snaps (berry flavored, good) and honey snaps (not good!). Then we tried various dishes! The Frederik VI herring was delicious with onion and capers. If you're not sure how to eat herring the traditional way, grab a slice of the tasty black bread, slather on the goose fat (or the butter if you don't want it super traditional), then add the herring and pile the toppings on top of that. Take a big bite to get it all in and enjoy! We also tried the curry herring which comes in a little dish with apples soaking in a curry sauce - yum! Port herring was very sweet, but still tasty. My friend also ordered the persian beef for himself which is like a cooked steak tartare with a raw egg yolk, beets, red onion, and capers. It makes for a super tasty bite all together, but it is a mouthful! The staff here was friendly, I loved getting to sit out on the sidewalk and enjoy the view of the street and watch all the bikes go by. It was a gorgeous introduction to the city and a very filling and yummy meal!

At their inaugural reception I was happy that they had redone the floors to make the place look much brighter and slightly sectioned off three areas in case a group wanted a little more room or quiet. During that day they offered every second beer free as well as free samples of their snack menu, so I had the pleasure of trying a little bit of everything. On another occasion I arrived a little earlier than my friends and one of the bartenders, Lucca, was so kind as to chat with me while I waited so that I wouldn't have to sit alone long. He was friendly and remembered my name for the rest of the evening. Many bars in Denmark lack decent food offerings and I'm glad to say that is not the case here. They have cheese and charcuterie plates, as well as paninis and olives. The prices are decent, in line with most bars in town. Only Italian beers are served; they taste safe, not at all adventurous, so it's good for beer-drinkers of all kinds. And a bonus, they mostly play Italian music. You can have a great time here!

Il Locale- to the rescue! They helped me with digesting my burger. I ordered a Pale Ale. It was around 14:00 so nobody was there! It was so cosy. Finally, a nice time to talk about beer (and the wine that my wife ordered). Speaking of wine... this place has a lot of events. One of them is comparing wine and beer. Very interesting and I hope I will join soon. Can't wait. I didn't try the food yet, but no worries, I will be back and I will write you a report about that. Take care and have a Yelpy day!

I was satisfied but not thrilled by the "salted fries." It seemed as if someone had given us all the fry butts after all the bigger fries had been scooped up earlier. The venue is very cozy, although the tables are packed in tightly. We sat at a table near the front wall, at the corner, and I couldn't get into my seat without pushing the table forward because my chair was already pushed up against the wall. And I am a skinny person! The service was friendly and the vibe of the place was pleasantly bustling even though it was late on a Tuesday evening. Random detail: the box of fire on a pedestal near the front entrance was a delightful greeting that drew my eyes to the restaurant as we approached from the sidewalk. Would I return? Hells yes. I love a good burger.

I ordered the Governator Burger, which was much bigger than expected. The double patties were big. A side of ribs, cause why not ribs, were tender and tasty. A side salad helped to balance out the meat overload. My wife got the 'Classic Cow', being their standard burger. We both got sweet potato fries, which neither of us could finish. Happy hour (5-7p) got us double drinks too! The staff was so nice to us! Not having a reservation, they just able to seat us on a busy Saturday evening. Sharing a few jokes, they were super polite. We would become regulars if we lived around here. Such a great restaurant!
