Nice restaurant with delicious Italian entrees and appetizers. Excellent customer service. The restaurant is filled with large Italian paintings and memorabilia. Very comfortable and inviting. Lots of room inside for a small table or large parties.

Why 5 stars? Because the vodka sauce could end wars. --- --- --- I have had this place bookmarked from previous visits to Grapevine and we finally made it a priority to stop in this time. The amazing reviews do not lie - this place rocks. We were considering ordering the bruschetta and then we found out it was complementary. That was a great start, and an even better start is that it was top notch. I don't think I'd be bored of this even if I ate it every day for the next 5 years. I ordered the lobster ravioli and while it was quite tasty, my wife made the point that you wouldn't even know that it was lobster if you tried it blindly. But it was still great, so I wasn't too mad about it. Where the vodka sauce really shined was through the Rigatoni a la Vodka. My wife and I both agreed that this was our favorite of the meal. The house dressing for the salad was kind of weird: definitely a tomato based dressing, which we weren't expecting, but I didn't hate it. The two red sauce entrees: lasagna and chicken parm were both good, but the vodka sauce was so amazing that they just couldn't compare. The staff was the perfect combination of nice and efficient. They moved us through the phases of lunch quickly, but without feeling rushed. Easy 5-stars for us!

What an amazing Italian restaurant. It's not big but has enough tables and seems to turn them around fairly quickly. We stopped in on a weeknight and it was busy but they sat us right down. The service is five star . Friendly waiters and always checking to see if you need anything. I had the fettuccine sauce with tortellini and chicken. It was scrumptious and so huge. I left half a plate. Loved their homemade bread they bring out. We were so stuffed and very happy when we left!

Easily the best meal of our lives -- no exaggeration. I took two friends here and we all agreed. Eat here in person -- you won't regret it. They put our soju on ice and even poured it for us. Our soju has never felt fancier. The vibe is super homey, the service is 10/10 -- so welcoming, so genuine. And the food? Unreal. I'm picky with pasta and usually can't find one I like at restaurants, but this place is a hidden gem. From the calamari to the tortellini a la pana, rigatoni a la vodka, and seafood combo, everything was perfect. The noodles had that ideal chew, the sauces were so balanced -- not too heavy, not too salty -- just right. There's literally nothing I'd change about any of it. We came about an hour before close and honestly felt bad since it was late -- I figured my friends wouldn't get to see Nick's magic, especially since he wasn't our server. But even after they officially closed, Nick came over and offered to do magic for us. Not just one trick -- a whole show. And OMG. It was UNBELIEVABLE. Everything he did was completely out of left field -- magic doesn't even begin to describe what he's capable of. We were BLOWN AWAY the entire time. I've seen him before and he still leaves me speechless every single time. He even offered us dessert (multiple times!) after closing, which we politely declined so he could go home -- but so, so kind of him. We were literally beaming the entire 35-minute drive back and couldn't stop talking about it. We were already calling it the perfect meal before the magic show... but after that? Just WOW. Pure happiness. This place is going to be a new staple for all of us whenever we're in town. The only thing my friends are mad about is that I didn't bring them here sooner. Highlight of our entire trip!!

The place was small, and very quaint. The service was quick and so was their food! A server came out like a ninja with this wonderfully, warm bread; with the butter nestled underneath. It was so fresh and delicious, like they made it when I ordered it. The food was amazingly good. If y'all are in the area, you should definitely check this place out!

Cafe Italia is a MUST GO!! Food, service, environment all amazing!! It's also BYOB. Calamari was tender & bouncy, and the batter was light and crispy. I absolutely loved the seafood pasta! Seafood was super fresh, I loved how snappy the shrimp was, and the tomato sauce was nicely balanced with white wine & butter. The vodka rigatoni & tortellini a la pan were both creamy and delicious. I'm usually reluctant to get these dishes at other restaurants bc they're usually too rich or cheesy, but I thought the ratios from here were perfect. The pasta was al dente in every dish! Service is so so amazing. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. And to end off a delicious dinner, we got a magic show from Nick that blew my mind away. I always crave the meal and experience that I got from this restaurant, and I can't wait to be back!

If you are looking for a charming, "no-frills" spot for classic Italian-American comfort food, this is a very dependable option. The absolute highlight of our visit was the staff. The people here couldn't have been nicer! They were welcoming and extremely accommodating, especially when it came to customizing my order. Food: * House Salads: We started with the house salads featuring their homemade tomato vinaigrette. It was unique--it tasted like they might incorporate some of their tomato sauce into the dressing base. It was okay, though perhaps an acquired taste if you prefer a sharper vinaigrette. * Eggplant Parm & Custom Pasta: I ordered the Eggplant Parm and asked to swap the side pasta for angel hair with vodka sauce. They were happy to do it for a small upcharge. The eggplant itself was quite good! My only critique is that the sauce was very chunky (I like a smoother sauce) and the portion of it was a bit overwhelming, but that might just be a personal preference. * Fettuccine Alfredo: My husband went with the classic Alfredo. He described it as a "solid 7/10"--nothing was wrong with it at all, just a standard, reliable version of the dish that satisfied the craving. Final Thoughts Cafe Italia is a sweet little place that is a decent option if you're hungry for the classics and want to be treated like family. We're glad we finally checked it off our list!

My pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was velvety and full of flavor. The shrimp was also cooked perfectly. The arancini were also delicious. Only minor suggestion would be to include a little more marinara or some type of sauce to dip the arancini in but it was still really good. Our server was very good and the restaurant itself has a cozy vibe without your table being on top of the one next to you. Side note: the bar is huge and probably seats about 20 people. I ordered the cacio e pepe off the specials board and added a house salad. If you do not know what cacio e pepe is, it is a dish with a few ingredients (pasta, cheese, black pepper, cream sauce). You can add protein to it, but it is pretty basic comfort food. Although it looks simple to prepare, I have eaten it in several DFW restaurants where it is atrocious. There is a fine line between delicious and paste with these ingredients, and it needs balance. The service was great. The food came quickly but I was not rushed to eat. The salad was fine - basic, fresh, and the balsamic dressing was not runny. When the cacio e pepe came out, it looked and smelled phenomenal. There was bread included, but I ignored it (which is not the norm for me). After the first bite, I was sold. This dish was freaking fantastic. The chef stopped and brought me fresh herbs from the plants out front (which were delicious). The dish was amazing on its own, and the herbs elevated it to another level of fantastic. It would have been inappropriate to lick the plate, but I did consider it (because the food was perfect). The food was phenomenal, the service was solid, and I will return repeatedly for this one dish. I am sure the other options are great, but this dish was a piece of heaven on a plate.
