Hojicha Spanner

This place is so cute! It has such a peaceful vibe and the drinks were great! It was my first time trying Hojicha and I'm obsessed! It was the perfect flavor and not too sweet. The garlic cream cheese bagel was to die for. I would come back just for that. They were really nice and our drinks came out really fast. There's an open area outside where you can sit out in the sun that's perfect for families. Highly recommend trying this place out!

Came in super quick for a little pick me up and it exceeded anything I could have imagined. This was suppose to be a quick drive by matcha run and instead I think I accidentally discovered the best cup of strawberry match I have ever had. It's a little shop but it's clean and bright and they are so friendly. So weither you need a new favorite and just a grab and go, this is definitely worth the time.

Thank you Jesus for my coffee

Amazing addition to the Carnes Crossroads area. Delicious coffee and I'm a coffee snob and rarely find a place that has a good bean!! I will be back!

This was our first time going to this location and I wasn't sure whether to expect your normal coffee shop for an experience I would want to come back for. Upon entering you see a bunch of smiling young adults ready to take your order and some awesome treats in the glass container waiting to be asked questions about. The coffee was good and had a great flavor but I'm still amazed that I spend that much on a cup of coffee. I will say the coffee and treats we got we're definitely on point. I would definitely recommend this wonderful location filled with music about how glorious God is to everyone.

I came to Cafe Hosanna in Summerville/Goose Creek one week after their opening day, and the line was very long! I did not mind the wait though, since I enjoyed talking to people in the queue, and next thing you know you are already looking through their selections. They offer different matcha beverages ranging from the classic matcha latte to matcha einspanner. I opted for their matcha sweet form and their matcha einspanner, and both were so delicious and exactly what you would get out in California. I will have to come back to try their classic matcha latte to see what their matcha is like on its own. I also got their Ube Cloud, which is a Ube Cream on Japanese bread. To be honest, the bread isn't as soft as I thought. I ate the Ube Cream but not much of the bread. As for service, the staff was diligent in taking orders and focused on making lines of beverages. The wait time after placing our order was long too, but it wasn't too bad. As for the vibe, the cafe is Christian-inspired, and they played gospel music, which was quite healing honestly. I love the concept of Cafe Hosanna, and I will definitely be coming back!

My new coffee spot. Delicious coffee drinks and very kind and friendly staff. You feel the presence of peace. Very highly recommended.

“The coffee crust salt bread somehow managed to be salty, sweet, buttery, and dangerously easy to keep eating long after common sense suggested stopping.”

The baked goods are provided by a local baker; my raspberry lemon poppyseed muffin was terrific. So two marks for the quality of the coffee and baked goods, and friendly service. Summit Coffee scores a three out of three for their interior space. (They do have outdoor seating; I'll be back in cooler weather for that.) With tall ceilings and wide windows, SC is bright and airy, and their decor is understated elegant: nice touches here and there that reinforces the care gone into creating a relaxing space.

I'll start this off and I hate doing this but I hate Nexton, it's such a fake and ingenious effort…read moreto be a trendy, albeit 20 years late to the party, town; one that is pretending to be upscale yet being downscale but charging upscale prices when not needed. What follows is the marching orders to all other places doing the same thing. Give me a McDonalds with from the 80s with an exterior that dared to be unique, not part of the 1984 (read the book) agenda. This brings me to Summit coffee; I absolutely hate the exterior. Devoid of life, soul and any unique presence. However, I'm not really here to write about a drab exterior but coffee! Let's go inside, shall we? Summit coffee establishment is located is on the outskirts of Nexton proper, easily accessible by foot and with a sterile atmosphere. One oddity I noticed is the place doesn't smell of coffee, which I found interesting. Sadly the inside is as lifeless as outside. It looks like a they paid a cleaner to remove all vestiges of life while only leaving a spec here or there to meet a quote. Ok, enough with aesthetics as I've complained enough, The staff is quick to help out and offer good suggestions when they're asked. Being a former comedian, I tried to whip up some jokes to compensate for my utter boredom, the ladies were nice enough to laugh. Needless to say, the women here had a heart. They made good suggestions but I was curious why their pastry display only had like a handful of items, did they make them or get them from the grocery store? I don't know but I was only here for coffee. I did like some of the creativity - a banana creampie latte - sounds like something.... Nevermind but all props for creativity. Birthday cake latte didn't sound good for the waistline but another attempt at creativity - I love it! But I opted to go for my own flavor. A lack of options for addins, I mean literally no hazelnut, almond etc. Well, I did the best I could - Latte with 2 shots caramel and 1 vanilla. I can honestly say it was "mid" at best. The roast didn't resonate while the lack of options made it feel so generic like I couldn't play the part of an evil scientist mixing a crazy concoction. But it beats McDonalds. Oh, they do have "the world's best granola" which I made several jokes about, even encouraging other customers by saying "if you were in France and ordered granola, they would talk about Summit's granola, after all it's the world's best!" Yes, I was being the overfriendly annoying customer, b/c I was bored. At least there were some laughs. Sadly, there's nothing about Summit that stands out. I hate saying that for local businesses but I want to be authentic. Stop by if .... Well, I'm not sure why so just stop by, I guess.

Biggby has several sandwich options, on top of their coffee and juice menu. They have this bragel sandwich called the Turkey Havarti. So good. Never have I tried one, I'm a hot latte type gal. Their cold foams look good too. I'll have to try it one day. Tips for this place: - Check the wall to the left of the register for some yummy drink specials not on the regular menu - Check signage around store for special food options not on the regular menu - Weekday specials: I took a picture of this for your convenience I like this place. Here is the summary of my experience recently: 1. Ambiance 5/5 - This is a family owned small cafe. I did not expect much but this is a cute little spot with great decor up with the fall season. 2. Service - 6/5 : Everyone was very nice, cool and accommodating. Soledad was amazing and delightful. 3. Food 5/5: - Here is the summary of what we had: a) Caramel coconut - Great coffee with good flavor and right amount of sugar. b) Iced vanilla latte - Another winner in my opinion c) omelette with fries - Great on taste. Even the ides were delicious d) Chocolate chip pan cakes - They were fluffy, moist and delicious 4 Value for Money 5/5: The food was light on the pocket and great in taste and had a great conversation with soledad as well. In summary, more the value for money A must visit going out from Charleston to Atl. If you do not visit this place, you are missing a lot :)

The cafe itself is cute, and I really wanted to love the food. I ordered the blueberry waffle with sausage links. Unfortunately, the waffle was pretty bland--even with syrup--and the blueberries were concentrated only in the center instead of throughout the waffle. It definitely looked better than it tasted. The sausage links, however, were really good. They had a nice crispy skin without being overcooked and were easily the best part of my meal. The restroom also left a lot to be desired. Both the toilet paper AND paper towels were sitting loose on the sink. There was a paper towel dispenser mounted directly over the toilet--which is disgusting in itself--despite there being plenty of other wall space where it could've been installed. The faucet was also extremely loose and felt like it was barely attached. The restroom just didn't feel clean or well maintained. Overall, the service was friendly and the cafe is cute, but between the disappointing waffle and the condition of the restroom, 3 stars feels fair.
