The most expensive basic ice cream ever. I wish I had checked reviews first. The place was lackluster and ice cream was $8 for a small. It didn't even taste good enough for my toddler to want seconds of. Customer service also didn't exist. The guy looked like he hated it there. Can't blame him. Looked like the owner came by to pick up something and the guy was barely hospitable himself. read more

I came in to buy some danishes to have in the morning with coffee. While in there I was going to buy the danish cookie bucket but asked if I could try a sample. He yelled at me no samples and he said no one gives sample! Needless to say we walked away buying nothing and we would never recommend this place! read more

In the bakery, the cheese danish looked great, the ones in the front were full of cherries. I ordered one and found absolutely no cherries in the danish and nothing but a red thin sauce. Extremely disappointed. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! Rude employee ambiance was negative due to bad customer service drove from LA to try some of solvang pastries , will not be coming here again !! read more

Got chocolate ice cream, cappuccino, strawberry milkshake, and raspberry pastry. The items were priced on the higher side I get it, it is a touristy place. The items were not giving an experience to remember for the price. The ice cream was average, the strawberry milkshake was not good the milk was sour and it wasn't anywhere close to milkshake for the price of $9.50 the raspberry pastry was ok therefore 2 stars Bottom line will not be visiting this place again sorry. read more

Stopped by to check out their menu and the adjacent gift shop. There were no other patrons. To honor their store signs not allowing outside food within, we placed it on a patio table. Within 1 minute, the staff threw out our $10 meal. When I confronted the employee, he laughed and said it was in the trash. read more

Mentioned that their lid is loose for their customer safety and the guys is very defensive. Despite paying for and $8 small latte which is not even a real cafe latte and old pastries sorry won't be back. read more

Delicious hot chocolate and Turkish borek (cheese pie)! Also friendly and fast service!

Small store with a wide variety of pastries and ice creams and drinks. The aebleskivers are wonderful!.

Cake is dry. The flavor isn't there. I don't recommend this place. You would think on a big holiday they would bake everything fresh. read more

Just left paying $15 for small ass latte not filled to top( "it's the machine") and a danish. Go two blocks down to peerless, half the price read more

I can't recommend. We came here for ice cream because everything else was closed. They had Thrifty ice cream that was overpriced and was not fresh, it tasted like it was full of freezer burn. I had to haggle with the guy to pack my 3 cups into "to go" containers because they didn't really have the right type for that, then I had to barter with him by withholding my money until he gave me actual spoons, when I first asked, he said they are in there, but they were just little wooden sticks. Oh, they also charge a fee if you use a credit card, so I switched to cash. read more

Worst service - prices were way high and the staff was rude. The ratings reflect the experience

Definitely would try it, we have the cinnamon bowl, cheese danish, chocolate croissant, and hot chocolate. When we went the line was very long but we only waited 20 minutes. Quick service, we walked by the following morning and it was completely empty. So definitely go in the morning if you want to try it. read more

Kind staff inside. I only had the hot chocolate but it was really good. They have a lot of stuff too choose from and they're one of the coffee/ice cream shops in town that are open late (they close around 9pm while the others close around 6 or 7p) read more

Con viento y located in the downtown and staff was friendly. We decided to go for a limoncello tart after dinner. While it looked very attractive in the glass case upon further inspection when eating it it looked old. The custard inside was separating from the crust outside and the glaze on the fruit looked liked crumbled up pieces of dried glue. The fruits tasted fine but the custard filling not so much. The crust wasn't firm like a tart should be. It just felt like it had gotten soft and floppy from being in the fridge too long. Haven't had a tart this bad in many many years. Go somewhere else for a dessert! read more

While walking around Solvang, my wife wanted some coffee so we stopped by here. Coffee was delicious, they have an assortment of treats on display, and the cashier was super nice. There's also a little patio in the alley next to it if you want to rest for a bit away from all the crowds. read more

Nice staff cold dry food. It's pastries throw them away if you can't sell them. Don't sell them to people

Not quite sure how this location wasn't already on Yelp! Great menu of warm options on a cold evening. We got a white chocolate mocha with a heavy whipped cream (SO good!) and a Turkish coffee that also came with a tasty Turkish delight. I had never had Turkish coffee before and while it's strong, it's not as strong in taste as it was in smell (which was perfect for me). Though... I do have a feeling I'm about to be wired for sound this evening! Coming back to try more options tomorrow. read more

I ordered a croissant with almond filling. I brought it home to have the next morning. It was 999. Really not sure why this place doesn't have better ratings than it does, but to my boyfriend and I, it had the best pastries we've had in Solvang!! The staff was super friendly, anticipating our needs, and the choice of pastries were unique. We had the Solvang Croissant Tart and the Almond Danish, and greatly enjoyed both! They weren't too sweet, just perfect! We both wished we came here earlier instead of Olsen's. Highly recommend! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this bakery. The male cashier was not only rude but also disrespectful. After I paid, he slammed my change down on the counter, gave me a dirty look, and then walked away without a word. To make matters worse, he had the nerve to ask for a tip! I was honestly shocked by his behavior. I understand that tips are appreciated, but there's no excuse for treating customers like that. I won't be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service all around. Not to mention the pastries are insanely overpriced as well read more

Watery expensive milkshake. Would find a different ice cream place in Solvang. The gummy bears were very expensive too.

Eh... Too expensive I paid $8 and some change for one tiny itty-bitty Turkish coffee that was probably 1/4 cup or less with two micro size treats. Not worth it!!! I will never go back here when I'm visiting Solvang that's for sure. read more

The cashier lady is rude. They serve Thrifty ice cream for almost $9 that sells for $2.50 at a Rite Aid store. The ice coffee is disgusting, tastes like Folger's instant coffee, and cost $8.21. They also charge a 5% fee to use your credit card. They post that it's only 3% but charge 5%. I'm a lazy person. I don't post reviews but the people need to know. read more

This place is overpriced. Their pasties are made with very cheap ingredients, also they are not fresh at all and very expensive. We went to this place mainly because they were the only open bakery after 6 PM. I know; it sounds weird, but pretty much everything is closed in Solvang after 6 even during the holiday season.
