Food was alright but service was excruciatingly slow. We decided to check out Cafe Einstein for dinner. We found a table outside to better enjoy the fresh air, and grabbed a set of English menus. Shrimp salad: I liked it a lot! Fresh, crunchy, and decent portion sizes. Cordon bleu chicken: battered and fried; pretty normal. Tasty according to my brother. The dumplings for dessert were interesting, if a little too sweet. Unfortunately, price and service just didn't match quality. Hence, 3 stars.

Came here for a late lunch. The service was surprisingly slow, it took quite awhile before the waiter came. Seems like staffs have designated tasks, as the female service staff told us that we'll have to wait for the actual waiter to order. We had the wiener schnitzel and the bernel wurst dishes. The former was well done, with a slice of breaded pork which wasn't oily at all. The wurst dish was wrapped in bacon and tasted nice with the accompanying mustard sauce. There were much fries as well. They ran out of chips (the machine was down) and that was quite disappointing. The price was reasonable comparing it to restaurants pricing here. Location was accessible, it's a short walk from the metro. And they have a self service station for tap water with a variety of fruit mixes as well.

English/Español Its a normal restaurant, they placed us in the smoking area because we didn't had a reservation, small table and space. The waiter did not asked us if we wanted the german menu or the english one. They served us the food really fast, the taste was good and fair price, the waiter asked for a tip.

The melange is really delicious in this café. The waiters are nice. What attracted me to this coffee is that it is on the name of einstein.

I stop there when it was raining day in Vienna. Read the review and walked in for my lunch. I had spicy goulash which is not so spicy for me but the taste was good. Weiner schnitzel was my main and it came out so good. Crispy pork with a little bit sour potato salad made it's not so oily. Love it.

We went here after seeing the good reviews on Yelp. The food and drinks were fantastic. My friend had sausage and chips and I had a delicious skillet potato dish that I still think about! We had a late lunch so we were some of the only people in the restaurant. The service was decent and the only reason why Cafe Einstein gets 4 stars...it took about 15 minutes of repeatedly asking for the check for the guy to give it to us!

Eating here has become my Austrian tradition - not only do they serve the best schnitzel, but they also have free wifi - this is not a touristic place, which in my opinion makes it as authentic as it gets ...

    Pork schnitzel

Came here on a light rainy day for late lunch. Nice decor with plenty of photos, cozy small stalls with wooden benches. Staff was pleasant and generally hands-off. Maybe that's just European style? There's a smoking and a nonsmoking section. As another reviewer said, they have an English menu but it's only for food (not drinks) but the waiters speak English well and can recommend drinks for you; menu now printed out, not on ipad as others mentioned previously. Food arrived fast. Ordered pork schnitzel (you can also choose turkey for same price or original/traditional veal for about twice the price). It tastes like a thinner version of Japanese tonkatsu. Frittatensuppe (soup with thin pancake stripes) is very good. Felt like they used a whole pancake. Overall, I'd come back again.

However, my personal favorite restaurant for authentic Austrian cuisine is Schitzelwirt! They have an exceptional Biergarten in the front of the restaurant or inside dining if you want a more romantic setting. I recommend enjoying their traditional Wiener Schnitzel with Herb Potatoes. Aperol Spritz & local Sturm Wine pairs nicely with this meal. The service was excellent! They are able to speak English but restaurants are the best place to try using your Deutsch and the staff will be very pleased and create laughs around the table. Also, this restaurant isn't very close to an U-Bahn station so I recommend using a taxi or Uber to arrive and continue your night.

The restaurant is big with lots of seating available and prices are reasonable as well. We even saw a photo of Ed Shireen on the wall during our time there indicating that he had eaten at the restaurant before! Menus are in English and German and the staff are able to communicate in English fluently. They also have some outdoor seating as well. We both ordered the Wiener Schnitzel. Sides are separate so I ordered a salad while my partner ordered a side of fries. The salad was tart and fresh. The schnitzel portion was huge! We got 2 big pieces of schnitzel each on the plate. I tried to finish my plate as best as I could but it was difficult. The coating on the schnitzel was crispy and just the perfect thickness where the pork meat was pounded to the perfect thickness. Overall, a great place to grab some schnitzel in Vienna!

Like Demel, Cafe Central is a MUST visit when you go to Vienna, where the coffee houses are a sight to behold on their own. Yes, the wait is quite long. Every time I pass by, there's a line, but it actually goes rather quickly and if you can find something to do to pass the time, it's like nothing at all. First off, the interior is STRIKING, a work of art in its own right with marble columns, stylish looking cafe tables, and paintings every where you go. Apparently Sigmund Freud has been a frequent patron here. Even if you were to get nothing at all, just the experience of sitting here is worth your eyes absorbing. But, oh!--the cakes--and the coffees! I had me an iced coffee that had a great body mixed with a delicate flavor to give me a jolt through the day. The hazelnut cake was airy and fluffy, not at all too sweet like American desserts have a tendency to be! The staff here move efficiently, and I love how there's no pressure to hurry up and pay your bill or make your order. A repeat place to be sure if I were to go back to Vienna. My twin and I went on Sept '25 for our vacation.

The line moved pretty quickly, though, and I waited about 30 minutes. The interior is stunning. I was completely enamored with the architecture and the structure of the building.
