It's a cafe, so don't expect tablecloths, but it is bright, modern and spotlessly clean and a fabulous place to sit on a warm evening with with a short, black coffee and some Lebanese pastries and enjoy the Middle Eastern feel this end of the Edgware Road has.
I love the food they serve here, nothing clever, but all of it tasty and well-cooked. The lamb schwarmas are a treat, succulent meat, crisp salad, fresh-tasting tahini and just enough hot sauce to give it a zip. The same can be said of their falafel sandwiches and, as for their tabbouleh, it's as good as my mum's - that's as big a compliment as you can get for tabbouleh, by the way.
This is a must-go-to place for me on my trips to London as a cheap, quick and enjoyable fix of my childhood food. read more
