Eggs Florentine w/sausage

Pretty good Eggs Benedict and the side of fruit was a good mix, not just melon like you get some places. On the server's recommendation we ordered the last cinnamon roll. Unfortunately it was microwaved to reheat which doesn't work. Very friendly service and a nice casual diner feel. Cash only!

Looking for a nice breakfast place. This is it. Service is good. Staff is friendly. The place isn't particularly big but they do have few tables outside so I did not have to wait. I got the ABC omelette. Inside the omelette they give u generous amount of bacon with 6 slices of avocado on top. The butter inside the toast go really well together. The potatoes taste delicious too. The only reason it doesn't get 5 star is they only take cash. Very unfortunate. Other than that, this place deserves a return trip.

Today was my first time enjoying breakfast here. It will definitely not be my last. The food is delicious and if you're lucky, the Cinnamon Roll Pancake will be on the menu. The service was perfect and our wait time for a table was brief. We can highly recommend the Carnitas Omelette and The Body Builder breakfast. That Cinnamon Roll Pancake was the perfect way to finish off the meal. Delicious!

Important: CASH ONLY! The inside is pretty small and limited in seating, and the decor is pretty outdated (definitely not contemporary at least). It honestly reminds me of those American diners that are shown in movies where the actors get breakfast and coffee. There's also a set up outside for outdoor seating. Service is fairly quick and the portions are great! However, we asked for some jam and did not get it. This was surprising because there weren't that many tables they were serving so I'm not quite sure why our request was acknowledged and then quickly forgotten. We did not ask again and just ate plain toast. Food tastes pretty standard. I have no complaints, but also nothing really stood out to me as particularly "amazing." This spot is probably more suitable for a quick gathering or meeting. I also wish they made it more obvious that it was cash only (like when we put our names down for seating). There IS a tiny sign near the counter but that's pretty much it. Nobody tells you up front before you sit down that it's cash only. To add to this, there's a convenient ATM in the restaurant for you to pull cash out (but you'll get charged that ATM fee). If you came here for just a cup of coffee and don't have cash, you've now just pretty much doubled the cost of that coffee. For all the aforementioned, I'd give this place a solid 3 stars.

No line, quick and friendly service, and delicious bites. So happy I found this little gem. Workers are very inviting as well!

Carnitas omelette that I put into a tortilla at home.

Everything we ordered was fantastic! Potatoes are so good and perfectly cooked with the right amount of crisp. I asked for the Carnitas Omelette to be put into a burrito but they would not do it, which is perfectly fine, so I brought it home and put it in my own tortilla which was amazing!!!! Would highly recommend this hack if you are ordering takeout.

Enjoying Birthday Breakfast w Hubby at Cafe Cup

Found a new favorite today at Cafe Cup. It was recommended by one of the servers, Rachel. It did not disappoint! It is a bowl of black bean soup with pico de gallo, avocado, onions and sour cream. It comes with a choice of bread on the side. I went with the tortilla. It was so yummy. I practically inhaled the whole thing. I will definitely be getting this many more times!

This is a Denver Omelet with home fries. It was not in the menu, but they gladly made it for me. Loved it.

Customer service was pleasant. The location is relaxing and food was delicious. I wanted a Denver omelet which was not in the menu, but they made it for me.

I got Osmanthus Mochi Jelly addon and it was yummy, a cross between a grass jelly and mochi texture with a light sweetness. * Mini Breadsticks 5/5 - These were like crispy banh mi. I like that they were protein-packed with pork floss and pate. * Popcorn Chicken 5/5 - Crispy and delicious popcorn chicken. Their spicy level may be a bit high as I ordered mild, but it was more like a medium (maybe it was just the seasonings being concentrated at the top). * Pink Guava Strawberry Tea 5/5 - Very refreshing and sweet drink, hint of guava and strawberry, not strong taste. * Blended Oreo Brulee 5/5 - Creamy, eggy, sweet goodness. It was a real treat. Your mouth is like Oreo-land with bouncy egg custard.

I like this location more than others because of the bigger parking lot, more seating options (including an upstairs area and outdoor seating), and I've also received better service here compared to other locations. The place is simply decorated, and it honestly is a solid spot if you're looking to crank out some work or meet with colleagues/friends. It does get pretty crowded so it's better to get an early head start if you can, especially on the weekends. In terms of their drinks, my favorite is the blueberry lavender matcha latte. It's on the sweeter side and has a floral aftertaste, but the flavors mix really well together. I typically get their matcha drinks or teas because I'm not a fan of coffee, but my friends that are coffee fiends are fans of the various coffee drinks here. Compared to other cafes, I feel like the cost of the drinks is standard, but the prepared food and pastries are on the steeper side. Still a great spot, I enjoy coming for the atmosphere and biscuits!

The location has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio, and inside there is a first floor seating area, and a second floor seating area. The interior had high ceilings and modern practical decor. Staff will take your order at the cashier, but they also have a kiosk if you want to avoid human interaction. I was here for a few hours, so I started off with a hot beverage since I saw that they have mug service. I had the hot Churro Latte ($8.15/large) and I was warned it's a bit sweet so staff suggested that I get it less sweet. I appreciated the gesture but maybe that's why I didn't taste too much of the churro flavor. It tasted like a good regular latte but maybe they held back on the caramel and cinnamon to the point I couldn't detect it. Seating is first come first serve. It was actually really busy and difficult to find an ideal spot. Since I was alone I sat at a high top ledge, strategically near an outlet. From what I saw, they had a really good amount of outlets in the indoor seating area. Later on I went back and ordered an iced Blueberry Lavender Matcha with Cold Foam ($9.25/large) and a Deluxe Avocado Toast ($15) which comes with egg, bacon, and herb oil. I like that this location serves the avocado toast with a knife and fork cause it was much needed. It was a bit on the wet side. Maybe I should ask for light herb oil next time. For how much this avocado toast cost, I would have liked more avocado. The avocado was more of a spread, not whole slices of avocado. Still good, just an observation. The blueberry lavender matcha was okay. I could taste the lavender but it was overpowering the matcha and the blueberry was hard to detect at all. Honestly the location and plentiful seatings is what stood out most from this experience. I would consider coming back since I know their products are good from trying their other locations but I wouldn't get the drinks I ordered this time. For how expensive coming here was, I wish I was a little more satisfied.

Can't go wrong with ordering any of the Crispy Pork Belly dishes. We actually ordered two of the Crispy Pork Belly Wrap appetizers when we went today for dinner. The seafood tom kha pasta was delicious as well. One tiny let down that left a sour taste in our mouths unfortunately happened today. We made a reservation for a party of 6 to celebrate my mom's 69th birthday. Like the previous two times I was here, they placed a nice little card/sign saying Happy Birthday with my mom's name on it. However after we enjoyed our meal we expected the nice little ice cream dessert with a candle on top for my mom to make a wish and blow out, but it never came. We never had to ask for it the last few times we went, they brought it out once they saw we finished our food, but this time it never came. We asked our server Young about it after paying, he said he'll bring it out. But after waiting some more it still never arrived so we just got up and left. I know it's something small, but sometimes it's the little things that count. We've seen it for others when we went, but when it came to my mom and then her not getting it, it was just disappointing.

And let's just be honest, my obsession with chai lattes and almond croissants really needs to be studied:) So, naturally, that's exactly what I ordered. One of the reasons I love Ubuntu Café is the location. It's right by the marina, so you get this beautiful ocean breeze while you sit outside and watch people walking by. It's one of those places where you don't feel rushed to leave. They also offered me a half order of their cheese bread, and I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of my favorite things. It comes with a guava and passion fruit jam, and the sweet jam with the cheesy bread sounds like it shouldn't work... but somehow it absolutely does. The owner even stopped by our table to check in, which added a personal touch and made us feel appreciated. It's also pet-friendly, which adds to the welcoming neighborhood feel. I ordered the Molcajete, which came loaded with refried beans, chorizo, avocado, potatoes, a sunny side up egg, carne asada, grilled slice of cheese, and pickled purple onions. The portions were huge -- I couldn't finish mine. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I added shrimp for a little extra and it was absolutely worth it.
