I go to quite a few Vietnamese cafes in Seattle, so I have my standards. Unfortunately, their coffee did not meet my standards at all. The coffee tasted like it was made straight from one of those Vietnamese instant coffee packets. I do drink that here and there at home, but it's not the kind of taste I want from a cafe. I ordered three drinks: the taro Oreo slush, coconut matcha latte, and Thai tea (with boba in the last two), and they were all SOOO good. The drinks were super creamy and flavorful, and the boba was made really well. Like soft and chewy, not hard at all. I also got two macarons (a créme brulée and a matcha), and omgoth, they're not the tiny ones you usually see. They're pretty big and thick, which explains the approximate $4.50 price, but they were totally worth it. Definitely suggest trying at least one. Prices overall felt pretty average for boba, not cheap but not crazy either. Oh yeah, I think the drinks only come in one size (I don't recall there being a Small or Large option). There's a lot of parking since it's in an Asian plaza, but it does get really busy because Sol Boba is right next to H Mart, so there was practically no parking in front of the shop and I feel like the spaces are kinda tight. Other than the biscuits (which were delicious), everything tasted like it came out of a box or a can. The gravy was watery and flavorless, which was a shame because it didn't really stick to the biscuits. The potatoes and hash browns had zero crispiness to them. The eggs were chewy, so much so that you had to use a knife to cut through them. But the saddest, most disappointing part of the meal was the waffle. It was so soft that even a knife wouldn't fully cut through it. I ended up using my hands to pull it apart. The "maple" syrup is some no-name brand made with corn syrup which made the waffle inedible. Our meal was nearly $60 with a tip and drinks. We could have saved $40 by going to the grocery store and making breakfast ourselves. I hate to give a local business a bad review, but I wanted to give an honest take on our experience.
