There were no bagels on display in a case so you are at the mercy of ownership that the bagels are NY style and fresh...I brought them home and immediately noticed that the Asiago bagel was pre sliced but seemed to have an ok texture ..I sliced the everything bagel which seemed was made from a completely different dough ..it had a bread like texture ( almost like what you'd get at publix ) Both bagels did not seem fresh and were certainly no better than what you'd find anywhere else around... They were most certainly not a NY/NJ bagel.. total disappointment. My search continues

Freshly Roasted Perfection in Venice…read more I stopped into Black Gold Coffee Roasters and was blown away. I ordered an iced mocha that was absolutely delicious - you can really taste the coffee through the chocolate instead of it being overly sweet, which I loved. The coconut macaroon I got on the side was phenomenal and paired perfectly with the drink. They're roasting beans less than 20 feet from where I was sitting, and even before we walked in, you could smell the coffee from the parking lot. It adds so much to the atmosphere knowing everything is that fresh. Service was top notch: super friendly, accurate with the order, and genuinely down to earth and inviting. This place feels like a true local gem, and I will definitely be returning.
