It reminded me of Indian spices with a little potato vibe, almost like a samosa in a new form. Hard to explain, but definitely worth trying for yourself. I also loved that the menu had plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, plus a lot of gluten-free choices, which makes it a great spot for anyone with dietary restrictions. Another fun touch is that the restaurant is attached to a little shop with unique trinkets to browse, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. I think this place would make a perfect date night spot, you can have a great meal, then walk around the area afterward. I'd definitely come back again.

I have held off on a previous bad review of Bureau de Postre, but now with a second 1 star…read moreexperience I have to post about it. My first 1 star experience was when my wife got food poisoning and when I went to inform the chef the next day he told me she was sick all night because she probably drank too much wine. Here is the reason for my second 1 star experience from this restaurant. Went today for a noon reservation on Mother's Day. Firstly, tons of kids here, no kids menu of any sort for Mother's Day. Their option was a grilled cheese with fries, which we were appreciate for, but why would you not think to have options for kids? Fruit cup, small burger, etc. they have these options during normal operations. Second, no one answers the phone here. I called 10+ times between 10am and 11:45am to request indoor seating. By default, they don't answer the phone nor do they at tiny grocer. One of the legs at the table they sat us at was so off balance that our drinks were spilling when someone would add pressure to the table. We had kid with us, so we ended up using three napkins in full cleaning up the spilled water. They missed putting in our order so, every table around us was served before us. We didn't get our food till complaining multiple times. Even after complaining tables around us continued to get their food first. To hold the table over I asked for fries to be delivered, something that should take minutes to prep, took another 15 minutes. Our food finally showed up at 1:15pm. We asked for to go boxes and even the boxes took 5 minutes. What is going on over here? I spent $20 at tiny grocer getting so many snacks for the kids because the food was so delayed. The entire table (minus the two toddlers) ended up leaving with zero food in our stomachs, but extremely frustrated. The manager comped our meal, which was very kind of him and he expressed tons of empathy. Classy move 100% This place is expensive and they just don't have it together. I don't like giving poor reviews, I rarely do it, but given this experience multiple times it's needed.

The veggies were fresh and the sausage gravy was so flavorful and tasty. The pancake was very good...big and fluffy. My wife ordered the * VEGGIE SPECIAL OMELET*. Onions, mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, tomato and spinach. The eggs that made the omelet were so fluffy. The veggies were fresh and it was smothered in cheese. She also ordered a side of crispy bacon. Everything was delicious. All of the employees were friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was on top of things and very attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed and never lacked for anything. The restaurant was very clean. It's very cool and nostalgic. It has a really nice laid back and old school vibe. This breakfast/lunch nook shares a small building with a conference/training room. I was in a weeklong training class in the next room, and my mornings were haunted by the smell of bacon and eggs. Everything was made fresh and way better than fast food fare. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. The fifties theme was kinda cool, especially since it is a heavy contrast to the rest of the ASH campus. If you're in the area and looking for a great value in a secluded spot, check out this place. Just enter through the main gate of ASH, then take the first right. Look for the small building on your left and you will see the signs. The only downside is that they only take cash... there is an ATM onsite though.

All were friendly, however, we felt uncomfortable after the server taking my part of the order stated that the benedict was a pretty hefty meal and adding a short stack of pancakes would be pretty heavy then asked, "are you sure you want to do that?" It was our first time there and we were told that the benedicts and panackes were popular, so I figured to order them and to-go what wouldn't we couldn't finish... Anyways, we ordered the chile con queso omelet, burnet road benedict, and a short stack of buttermilk pancakes. The food was decent. Both of the omelet and benedict included a lot of queso, it was a bit overwhelming. The panackes were good. Note: The prices on the menu are for cash payments, card payments have a 3% charge!
