For my meal, I ordered the Tandoori Mix Grill, consisting of Lamb, Chicken, Fish, and Shrimp. This was also served with lentils, rice, and salad. Presentation was very nice and portions were quite generous. I really enjoyed the seafood, but there was only 1 piece of Fish and 1 Shrimp. I would have preferred less Lamb and Chicken to have more seafood. Fish and Shrimp were tender and well seasoned. Lamb was succulent, juicy, and full of wonderful flavor. Tandoori Chicken was cooked expertly, with perfect char. I also got to try the Veggie Samosa and Garlic Naan. Samosa was chock full of potatoes, peas, other veggies and the outer shell was satisfyingly crunchy. Garlic Naan was light, buttery, with plenty of yummy garlic. For dessert, I just had to get the special Rose Falooda beverage, which came with Rose ice cream mixed with what tasted like pistachios and vermicelli noodles. This was a gorgeous pink color, and tasted rich, sweet, fragrant, which was simply delightful. Service was solid. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The dosa came out in 10 minutes which is reasonable. It was freshly made and the batter/dough was excellent. It reminded me of my mother's dosa. Fluffy, crispy, but not paper thin. The masala and podi on the inside was fabulous. It was with enough chutney on the side but the kicker was the sambar. They had sambar in a massive warming pot by the register. Tasty, tangy, and not too spicy. I had 2 cups of it with my singular dosa. All their tiffin products seemed delicious. In a heartbeat, I'd be back!

The area has a lot of South Indian restaurants, but I don't feel inclined to try others because Dosa Hut consistently hits the spot. Overall, this place is good for the homesick South Indian. The flavors are complex and not muddled. The rice was fluffy and not oily. And the presentation and packaging done with care. I should warn those of you who may be more susceptible, the default spiciness level of the food seems to be in the medium-hot level so adjust you order accordingly. The first person reached and waited over five minutes and left. Then I saw someone else was designated and the poor guy waited over 30 mins and was nice enough to stick around when he didn't have to. And the restaurant kept stalling and telling him it will be another 10 mins. My issue is not that they took long, I understand make good quality food takes time and I am fine with that. But then don't miscommunicate and make a delivery person wait around impacting his income. I hope they improve their operations and communicate accurately. Overall, inspite of the operational issue, the food was really good and I recommend it. Maybe it might be better if I visited and dined in.
