I have been wanting to try this coffee shop and their Tiramisu Latte and I finally did this weekend as it did not disappoint. The Tiramisu Latte was so rich and creamy, sweet enough with an added lady finger treat that you can't go wrong when you want that little bit of something to go with your drink. Love the architect of the building. The inside is warm, cozy and very inviting but a bit small with chairs everywhere making sure everyone had a chance to sit. It was a full house but I managed to find a bench against the wall by the window. The staff was friendly and asked me if I enjoyed my drink. Came here with a run club and even though we weren't as large of a group, because the cafe is quite intimate / small, it was very evident we took up the majority of the space. I've seen that their Tiramisu Latte is popular, so I ordered that with oat milk and a cardamom bun on the side. The drink itself was a dessert - a ladyfinger dangling over the cup with cream on the bottom, the cup was primarily ice which was my main source of disappointment. The cardamom bun reminded me of LaCabra, so that lifted my mood a bit. The tiramisu latte was absolutely fantastic, and I love the touch of the ladyfinger on top -- dipped into the latte and whipped cream, it made for a super tasty mini dessert! The cream, once incorporated into the latte, gave the drink the perfect amount of sweetness and a super velvety, luscious mouthfeel. The entire drink was decadent without ever getting too sweet or overwhelming. Interior doesn't have tooo much seating, but the varied set up makes it perfect for a solo outing, catch up with friends, or productive working session. A super cute cafe addition to Chelsea! There's a decent amount of seating inside and the tables are perfect for either chatting or working. There's free wifi, outlets, and a bathroom as well. We stopped by on a weekday afternoon and while there were some people chatting, the cafe was pretty quiet and peaceful. There was only one lady working behind the counter when I went, so service could be a bit slow (looks like they're trying to hire). I got the tiramisu latte ($7 but I had to switch to oat milk which came out to $9.25). The cream is thick and sweet, and I like the addition of the ladyfinger on top. This place is absolutely amazing and I need everyone to visit. I went for their tiramisu latte and it was utter perfection. They don't add any extra syrups, and the cream on top isn't too sweet, and it settles into the coffee quite nicely, adding a subtle sweetness. The lady finger on top was also such a cute addition. I still can't believe it's only $7. The owner is so sweet and welcoming, and she offered us free scones, which were very light, fluffy, and yummy. New coffee shop in Chelsea! COFFEE: I got a regular drip coffee ($4.50) that I enjoyed. My boyfriend is a sucker for sugary lattes and he got the Tiramisu latte ($7?). We think it's topped with marshmallow fluff and whipped cream mixture -- it's super thick and sweet. He was a fan, but referred to it as "sugary nonsense" (in a good way). Note that it's iced only, so maybe not the most appropriate for today in the 30s, but the cafe is warm inside! AMBIANCE: A+! Super cute coffee shop aesthetic with modern furniture, open space, and plants. Several tables available and many people on laptops. SERVICE: They were a little slow because I think they are short staffed (a sign on their door says they're hiring), which makes sense because they only just opened. This place is definitely for people who wanna being their laptop and get stuff done. Very ample seating next to outlets. Most people, if not all who stay are being productive in some way. So don't ruin the vibe by being loud! People will get annoyed if you for disturbing the peace. Drinks are delicious and STRONG. They are not playing about their matcha here. Potent, not too sweet, and refreshing. Prices could be a little cheaper but for dessert drinks in this part of town it's in-line with the average. This coffee shop is located right off the High Line on 23rd St., an easy pitstop if you're doing the walk. It was pretty warm inside though, so maybe not the best stopover in the summer if you're looking to cool down! I ordered the Espresso Yuzu Tonic which was decent, although didn't really have much of a yuzu flavor going on. The staff seemed to still be getting things figured out and got the other part of our order wrong (mixed up tea flavors). I went back to the staff member, who pointed me to the same spot again. Still unsuccessful, I even asked other customers for help. I had to get her attention once more, and only then did she find the charger hidden inside a box in that area. Ordered a tiramisu latte and strawberry matcha latte. First time they made the tiramisu with whole milk when I paid for almond. Then when they remade it 3/4 of the cup was ice, and there was none of the tiramisu topping. When I got the drink the coffee tasted burnt and gross, they put no sweetener but the topping and there was little to no topping. Not to mention I waited almost 20 minutes for my drink with like no line. The staff wasn't very friendly and not apologetic when it was wrong. When I finally got the matcha latte it was not even full to the top and it was mediocre at best. It was 18 dollars for two drinks, which I know doesn't seem like too much but for a matcha you're much better off going somewhere like Lazy Sundaes in china town, which was better quality matcha and the same price. Overall the ambiance is nice but crowded. They also have Christmas decor still up and it is almost April. Also no bathroom. I would really recommend anywhere else. read more
