This is great roadside restaurant with live music on the weekends. The burgers are some of the best I've ever had, along with pastrami. I've been here about 4 times and have never been disappointed. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is family friendly and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for your entire group. If you're ever around the area make sure to check it out.

Great food. Great service. Rockin band. Sexxxy ladies. Cool vibes. Sweet motorcycles. Thanks for supporting the local business. Come on back!!! This is Nyte Rydah Magic who loves you!

Food was great fast and hot!! Carmen is killing it on the grill!! We all loved out food

Chopped scrambled eggs

Tried this restaurant on a whim as we were on our way home from Joshua Tree. Pretty much the only thing around. My partners veggie burger and fries were very good, but my scrambled eggs look like they had been put through the blender. Something about cooks in these FarOut places that they wanna stand around and chop the eggs like they've got nothing else to do while waiting for the deep fried hashbrowns to cook. Don't recommend this place.

This was one of the coolest places I've been to. The atmosphere was cool, the people were so kind and welcoming. Loved the way this place was decorated too! As for the food, it was delicious. We also got PB & banana shakes (you have to get one, it was the best shake I've ever had). Such a great place to stop for lunch, we'll definitely be back!

The cheeky entrance

Had a terrific lunch on the way to Palm Desert from Las Vegas. A really friendly and mellow place along a lesser traveled route (HWY 247 from Barstow). Great chat with Matthew, the owner, who made these non-locals feel right at home!

Food is absolutely amazing down home flavor. Excellent variety and choice. Service is great. They usually go above and beyond for you ambience well, let's just say it's a unique kind of place.

Beef ribs

I don't usually expect much from eateries in small desert towns. But Cafe 247 loons that curve, offering among the best beef ribs I've ever had. A lot of places claim to have ribs that slide off the bone, but they're usually sloppy, greasy, and leave you walking in search of a bottle of TUMS. Not here! Slow cooked, delish, and simply superb, this is my go to rib place off the mountain. I had a portion of my friend's kielbasa, and while I'm not used to having it in bbq sauce (traditional Boston Polish delis serve them with mustard and sauerkraut), after a few bites, it grew on me.... quickly! Adding to the dining experience is a super unique ambiance that's a cross between a biker's club, an art junkyard, and Hollywood museum of memories. It's quite an eye-catching, entertaining place. Highly recommend!

Double Bacon Burger was absolutely amazing. Great seasoning and overall taste!

Very happy I stopped by here. Truly one of the best burgers I've had in a very long time. Can't wait to come back and try the BBQ on the weekends. I was just passing by but now I'm officially a regular customer. Definitely recommend to try

My low rating is entirely based on the customer service experience within the first few minutes of arriving. I came in with my dog, fully aware that we would need to sit outside. Since most restaurants still have you check in first, I stood at the podium where there was a sign indicating a server would check in guests. After standing there briefly, an employee asked if we wanted to sit on the patio. I said yes, and he responded by telling us to "go up the ramp." Not even in a friendly manner. Me being me I just wanted to verify that I didn't have to check in as it wasn't just myself, my party we're not all with me ..wanting to make sure I was following the correct process, I politely asked if I didn't need to check in first. His response came across as annoyed, basically repeating that he had already told us to go up the ramp. The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and rude. There's a difference between being direct and making guests feel unwelcome. I'm usually not someone who leaves negative reviews over one interaction, but both my husband and brother-in-law also noticed the attitude, as they were close enough to hear and it immediately made us uncomfortable enough to leave. Before leaving, I did take a quick look at the patio area and noticed it was very shaded with leaves scattered around from the wind, which didn't make the outdoor dining setup feel especially inviting either. Overall, this was disappointing because I had chosen this spot to celebrate my 30th birthday and was really looking forward to enjoying a big, delicious pancake. Unfortunately, the experience started off on the wrong foot and we decided not to stay.

This is a low-key, "local vibe" kind of diner ~ do not go here for ambiance or high end cuisine. That said, the server was friendly and helpful with the menu. We both had burgers and fries/onion rings - I had the Ortega burger with cheddar cheese, 5/5, SO GOOD!! WILL GET AGAIN!!! I knew the burger would be good, this place is your "typical diner" - however, I was actually blown away by it!! Fries and onion rings were delicious too!! Salty, crunchy and perfectly cooked. Ranch sauce was fire too. My BF has been eating at this place for years now, and has nothing but good things to say about this place as well. We can't wait to go back soon and try the Mexican food, as our server recommended trying that cuisine. Based off these experiences and the friendly head nod from the cook as we left - we'll be back and will try something new. I actually look forward to trying breakfast there as well, at some point soon, as I heard the people seated behind us talking how good their waffles and pancakes are. Please try this establishment, I hope you enjoy as much as we did!

The food portions here are very generous, and the pricing is extremely fair. Just like any diner the menu is very large and has a lot of great options on it. Service was very fast and friendly, and they are true champions with staying on top of the drink refills. There is a large free parking lot right in front so parking is very easy and close. Inside is pretty small, they have about six booths and twice as many counter seats so if it is busy, you may have to wait a little bit, but it will be worth it. For this visit, I chose the Chili Cheese Omelette and really liked it. I wish it would've had less beans and more meat but overall I can't complain because I finished the entire thing. They also do four eggs for their omelettes so it is a bit larger than you will usually get. As mentioned the coffee is great and they will continue the refills the second you need it. It's located in sleepy Running Springs, which is in between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear. It's less than a 10 minute drive from both locations so it is a really great option for breakfast when visiting. We will be back next time we are visiting the mountains.
