I drove an hour and 10 minutes just to try this place! I wanted to see what the buzz was all about. Everything on the menu looked so good and I was salivating the whole time. I love the ambiance of the place, it's a great date spot or even a place to study. Everything is pretty costly, however. I got one drink, a soufflé green tea pancake and two cakes for $40. They're worth it in my opinion, since they're pretty delicious. 4 stars because it took almost 30 minutes to get my order ready and everyone who ordered after me got their order first. There's a lot of variety on the menu here for snacks, meals and drinks. It looks like they may have recently added additional soufflé pancake flavors, including chocolate, matcha, orange, original and strawberry. Staff was helpful in explaining items to us and answering questions we had. We ordered the chocolate soufflé pancakes, toffee latte, and orange bianca. The pancakes were great- very thick with the classic "jiggle" you'd expect from a soufflé pancake. The flavor wasn't too sweet or too rich, and was big enough to share. Let's talk food... the soufflé pancakes are delicious! But the waiting for the pancakes.... not so delicious :( we thought the server said 15 minutes but turns out he said FIFTY, I was in shambles but once I took a bite, all my problems went away and everything was sunshine and rainbows. I got the Affogato to drink and it was chefs kiss! While waiting for our food we drank all our drinks and decided to order some tea to sip on while we wait, we got the gwinett special which was floral tea for the table to share (super good). We also got the kimchi avocado sandwich which was SO GOOD & SO HUGE! I'm loving this new cafe that joined the scene in the area. Heck, even if I wasn't in the area this is a spot I would make the trek out too. As soon as you walk in and see the menu you will be drawn in. Love the drawing of the various drinks, desserts, and food on the menu. The wall art is really cool too. I stumbled upon this place with my friend and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. The other cafes that were here prior to this were not all that great so this particular location never really got my attention. The decor is really cute, its a bit eclectic but I didn't mind it as much. You walk up and order and they give you a buzzer when your food/drinks are ready which is pretty standard for Cafes. I do like that the staff is well versed in the items on their menu and honest. I got a mini cheesecake and the Cafe Latte Choux Cream & dang... it was delicious. You can tell that they make their coffee CORRECT. So if you are sensitive to caffeine then don't drink the coffee, but for my coffee addicts, I would recommend! When our order was ready, it came in cups, and we were asked to pour the drinks ourselves into the takeout cups (lmao?), EVEN THOUGH we had clearly specified that our order was for takeout when ordering with the cashier. Cafe 104 is visually representative of the vibrant menu they have! My friend and I came here for a quick coffee after our walk and I got the Toffee Latte! It is delicious and balanced! I was afraid it would be too sweet, but it wasn't. There is just enough syrup. My friend got the Dalgona Latte , which has chunks of Dalgona on the top. I tried it and it was good, it tasted similar to the Toffee Latte! It also wasn't as sweet as I was expecting, which I appreciate! Like most coffee shops you order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. I decided to go with the Gwinnett Coffee. Within a few minutes it was served on a ceramic scallop shell. The shell and the cup have a faux pearl finish with a few faux pearls for decoration. The coffee was like an espresso shot with a layer of whipped cream sprinkled with cocoa powder and dark chocolate shavings. Light and airy. Free WiFi available. The password is printed on your receipt. The establishment makes a great place to hang out, read, or get some light work done. Came here specifically for the injeolmi bingsu. I loved the little crunchies on it and how they layered it into the bingsu. Apparently injeolmi is seasonal though so I would come here in the summer for a stronger flavor. What floored me is they are willing to make the bingsu with soy milk for an upcharge of $3. Most places aren't willing to do that because of the hassle with the machine. read more

This has become one of my favorite Korean cafes in Duluth. The interior is whimsical with the murals on the walls and all of the greenery. Everything is super clean as well. Not great for big groups as there isn't too much seating, it is on the smaller side. The desserts are just right in terms of sweetness, and their savory items don't disappoint either! Their steak sauce made the steak dish shine. The real stars are definitely their drinks. They have an inventive drinks menu with stuff I've never seen before and it's all delicious! I first heard of this spot in TikTok! Cafe 104 has such a beautiful interior decorated with cozy and athletic decor. The service was a bit slow, we came around 9pm on a Saturday. We tried the Affogato, Strawberry Matcha Latte, and the Taro Latte, as well as the Strawberry Soufflé Waffle. It took around 10 minutes to get our drinks and around 30 for the waffle. Everything was super yummy, and the waffle has a very satisfying jiggle. The syrup they give you to pour on top was perfect. I wish the matcha was creamier but it was still delicious. While slightly on the pricier side, the croffles are very affordable and well-priced. Their croffles are very soft and rich. It tastes exactly like as the name suggests, like a croissant. There was nothing special about the ice cream besides the fact that it compliments the croissant well, but the presentation was nice. Overall, would come again and recommend to others. Been here a couple times already. The first time I tried the Atlanta special drink, it was delicious. The bingsu and waffle desserts were amazing as well. However, the bingsu didn't look like the pictures. The watermelon juice here tasted fresh. The last time I came however, we ordered drinks, the breakfast and the soufflé pancake. We unfortunately waited an hour and a half for the pancake and breakfast which was a bummer. Had to ask multiple times for the order :( The drinks came out super late as well. Cafe 104 is a Korean-owned cafe that is similar to the ones I experienced in Seoul. By that I mean the business owner is sharp about details, like esthetic and presentation of the menu. Don't worry, the options not only look phenomenal but also taste amazing as well..!  Things you should know: I. PARKING  Cafe 104 shares a free public parking lot out front with the adjacent business. Easy. II. SERVICE  Friendly and timely. You order at the register and they give you a beeper so you can sit until your beverage/food is ready. I liked that they had a sugar free latte option on the menu.  III. QUALITY  The Americano I had was dense and acidic ~ not watered down. But the highlight for me here was the Einspänner! Traditionally, it's supposed to be served hot, to contrast the cool cream on top but we tried bother versions! I would say if you choose to drink it hot, don't use the straw or it'll take away from that hot/cold explosion. After having Einspänners in Korea, I've been on the hunt for one equivalent in quality and FINALLY this hits the spot! Highly recommend. IV. Very cute interior with and expansive drink menu! The toffee latte was great. The soufflé pancake had a great eggy/custard taste to them. I had the matcha flavor, but I'd like to try the orange next and try the sweeter flavor profile since the matcha syrup was a little bitter. The plating was so pretty. So cute inside, I love the flowers and hanging plant decor. I ordered a cold brown sugar latte; I don't usually like cold lattes but I really wanted to try the brown sugar latte and it is only available cold. I also ordered the strawberry soufflé pancakes and a Cristo sandwich which totaled $49. My girl ordered a chocolate parfait and a lychee peach soda and the caramel soufflé pancakes. The latte was delicious, very intense coffee flavor with a touch of sweetness . I tasted a little of my friends parfait and it was very good but gave us more ice cream sundae vibes rather than a breakfast parfait which is what she thought it would be. One minor complaint, I was freezing I think it's because they have the air blasting for this hot Georgia heat and also we sat under a fan. The pancakes were everything I thought they would be, so moist and fluffy, melting in my mouth. The strawberry sauce was the perfect accompaniment and my only regret is I wasn't able to eat EVERY morsel. I went up to Café 104 for a second time today. There were many customers inside, but there were still plenty of spaces to sit at small tables, or at the bar-type seating along the window. I was informed that I would have to wait for about 30 minutes to get a soufflé made, but I was told (previously, and by the owner) that it was the best item on the menu- by far. So, I was happy to wait. It almost seemed like the girl at the register taking my order was (initially) looking in the display case to see if there was a soufflé ready-made to serve... I really hope that wasn't the case considering the price of a soufflé. However, it came out fresh-made and it was good. Before I go into detail about the soufflé, let me also tout their customer service. The girl at the register was very sweet and bubbly. She greeted me with a warm smile and I could tell that she is a genuinely happy to be there employee. After letting her know I was getting the soufflé, I requested that she choose a drink for me (my parameters were: something sweet, I don't really like butter much) that would go well with the soufflé. She said that was a difficult task because she's the type that likes bitter things (and I instantly wanted to ask her out, because her gushy personality was just so wholesomely sweet and honest), and asked if coffee was OK. I said, as long as it is a sweet drink, I'm good. I'll trust your judgement. She decided on the iced mocha- and I wasn't disappointed! It was delicious! I did, however, not control myself and ended up drinking it all prior to even getting the soufflé. I did try...at first, but it was so evenly balanced! It wasn't too sweet and it wasn't too bitter. There's a joke in there somewhere that I'm better-off not posting. Anyway... it was very good and I recommend it! Now, the soufflé. The Choco Soufflé Pancakes were pretty light and fluffy, with a just-barely eggy flavor (reminded me of the interior of a thick, chocolate French toast), and was sweetened mostly by the freshly made cocoa whipped cream topping with which it was served. The coca powder added a bitter touch to it and there were little chunky flakes of chocolate throughout the cream and on top of the soufflé pancakes that added a richness to each bite. You might think the sweet mint sprig was just a garnish, but it isn't. It was good-grade sweet mint, and served to add dimension to the flavor as well as lift the bitter and rich flavors, thus refreshing the palate for the next bite. Honestly, it might've been better to have one more leaf thinly slice and sprinkled on top, but I ended up cutting mine up and parsing it amongst bites. It was a very good dish! Is it a dish that I believe to be worth $18.99? No. In fact, I have made fluffier soufflés at home with no sugar that could easily stand up to this dish. Especially so, if served with actual sugar, rather than monk fruit sweetener, like I normally use. More importantly, should you give it a try? Yes. Not everyone is a fantastic cook (not gonna be modest about it here, because I'm openly going to praise and criticize using my own opinions based on both my own and others' skills), and that means that to most, this will be a fantastic dish! Hubby got an Americano, which he said was as expected. That's a lot coming from the hubbz as usually he would complain if it wasn't coffee. Lol. I got a cafe latte with choux cream with a shot of French vanilla syrup. Yum! I loved the forward coffee taste. Cafe lattes can sometimes lose the coffee taste and end up diluted in the dairy. Amazing new aesthetic cafe in the Duluth area right next to Miracle Hair Salon! Staff were friendly and while wait times took a bit longer, dessert was worth it! Purely food based review: Strawberry Souffle Pancakes ($17) - Pretty sure they're one of the only ones in the area right now that emulates the Asian/Japanese style. It's not completely as thick as the ones you'll find in Japan, but definitely airy and fluffy and jiggly. Sharable with two people for sure. Sauce was nice and not too sweet. Milk Tea Bingsu ($7) - Amazing concept for people who don't want to order a giant Bingsu! They actually flavor the ice and it's not just plain shaved ice. Service was a little slow but probably because it just opened recently. The employees were very friendly and also apologized for the long wait.
