We recently visited Cafe Oliv for lunch. The staff was super friendly. They checked our vaccine information. Since I am from the USA, we don't have the same QR code as the EU. They are ok with the CDC vaccination card have to show your ID to validate it. I ordered the Acai smoothie OMG, it was soooooo good. For lunch, I had the Pull Chicken Bowl; the ingredients were fresh and wholesome. The cauliflower was a little hard to chew, but the rest of the ingredients were perfect. I came here for a good energizing breakfast, and was not disappointed. The coffee was really good and so was my vegan breakfast bowl; it was just the right size, so it filled me up for the next couple of hours. I could actually feel how healthy it was. Also something embarrassing happened to me; I forgot to pay and just said thanks and left the cafe. But the employee knocked on the window and was super nice to me and joked about me not looking like someone who would leave without paying. So her being really nice to me made my day! The cafe is a little bit expensive though, but it's like one of those hipster cafes where the high prices also come from the interior design, cool ceramic dishes and location. I just don't like the fact that you have to pay extra (0,30€) for soy milk. But that seems to be the case at every cafe here in Berlin, not just in this one. read more

We stopped in for breakfast before heading to museum island, just a short walk from everything we wanted to see. We split a slice of ham quiche and the daily special which was a quinoa bowl. We also enjoyed a piccolo and fresh apple/carrot/ginger juice. Everything tasted amazing. The flavor combinations in the quinoa bowl was surprising but also very delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and exactly what I was looking for. Tons of natural lighting and a clean lines with a soft industrial feel. Our server was great and made us feel less uneasy as this was only our second time eating out. I wish we had time to go back read more

This is a great cafe! We heard of it because of their cakes' reputation. The carrot cake was amazing, as was the cheese cake. The pot of loose-leaf tea was high quality. I'm glad we visited Oliv during our trip to Berlin. read more

Service was great! Definitely caters to ex-pats and tourists as this was one of the few places where we were approached and spoken to in English immediately! Food was decent with higher than normal prices for Berlin. Atmosphere is laid back and super casual. Convenient and close to the Alexa Mall in Berlin. read more

I have walked by the restaurant, so many times that I swore to myself that the next time I would go by and it's not too full I would go in, and so I did. The atmosphere is nice, but trendy and I think also pretty loud. I was trying to talk on the phone while having lunch and despite the fact that I had trouble hearing, since I was in the cafe, my counterpart on the other line had huge problems hearing me as well because of the background noise. As far as food good, it's french inspired, offering, salad, quiche, soup, vegetables, and pastries. I ordered a slice of quiche, which comes with a tiny bit of salad and runs at €5, but most proper lunch dishes run between €7-€10. The quiche I had was mango with veggies and I would say average, it tasted good (I tasted no mango though), but I could make this kind of quiche at home. Additionally, the coffee is too expensive in my opinion as well as a latte is €3 (and the glas is not that big). Overall I could be giving 4 stars and would be giving 3 1/2 if I could, but the noise and steep prices made me go for 3. read more

Nice place in Mitte which is still fairly new. Had walked by many times and now have finally been there on a couple occasions. Prefer sitting outside but the inside is inviting as well. Friendly staff (for now) and I've always enjoyed the coffee and light snacks they have available. Tends to be quite full so get there early. read more

While the clientele can sometimes be a bit über-trendy (Berlin Mitte style...), the staff are mostly very friendly and attentive, which is rare in Mitte. They have a small selection of sandwiches, quiches, soups and cakes - all of very good quality. Still, I had some cake there today and it tasted like it had only been half-baked... not very nice if you consider that a piece of cake comes in at around 3 euros. read more

This place looks very trendy and cozy. Menu and food on the display looks appetizing too. But unfortunately we couldn't have a try as customer with young kids and stroller are not welcomed. We have been told that strollers are not allowed to bring in and also no high chair to accommodate the little ones....To keep it short this place is definatly not for people with kids. read more
