Hot choc on a rainy autumn day
    Johanna S.

A nice coffee hause next to the river. When i entered, all tables seemed to be reserved except one next to the door. Got myself settled there for a hot chocolate milk. After i arrived, many new arrivals were turned away bacause it was fully reserved. Overall experience:i got what i expected. Nothing bad nor exceptional. So, 3stars seem right.

Be prepared to wait if you don't have a reservation and maybe even if you do. This cozy spot by the river is a must-do for brunch. The coffee is perfect, the eggs are fluffy and the crepe was to die for. The bread is outstanding. It's a cozy, local spot but worth a trip even if you're not so local!

    Hot chocolates

One of the best hot chocolates I've drunk in my live. Seriously. Creamy and strong with loads of cream! It was a very very cold day and I really need it. The cake was good too but for some reason it was cold. It was a cheese cake actually...maybe I should have tried something savoury instead. This place is really cool. Spacious, comfy, perfect to bring a book and sit down while sipping a coffee. It wasn't packet when I was there. On the other hand, the Starbucks was packed and too hot. Don't know why most of the people prefer a rushed coffee at starbucks than a calm and enjoyable coffee in a good café. And prices at Kaffeehaus are waaay cheaper than starbucks. Anyways, I'll come back here someday.

Very quaint little restaurant, looks like I am in someone's cozy living room. We got there soon after they opened and the place got busy real fast. Fresh and fast services food. Devious crepes and scrambled egg dishes. I had espresso macchiato and it was pretty awesome and kept me attentive all day! There was only one waitress and she worked hard the whole time. If only they were open on Sunday, we would have gone back again! This will be our go-to place for breakfast again. Please try it if you are in Berlin, as it will not disappoint.

Delicious, quaint spot that's bustling with locals and overlooking the beautiful river. This place specializes in breakfast and has a wide array of mouthwatering options, ranging from sweet and savory crepes to muesli bowls to croques to meat and cheese platters. My table ordered a selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, and bread, and our jaws all dropped when we saw the enormous, beautifully plated spread come out of the kitchen. This was our first meal in Berlin, and it was definitely a memorable one! A note for tourists - they aren't very accommodating of non-English speakers. There's only a German menu, and the service can be a bit curt (aka when I asked for an "iced coffee" and was served a latte with a scoop of ice cream on top, they had zero sympathy for the apparent cultural miscommunication). But definitely check this place out if you're seeking an authentic experience and a delicious start to your day.

    This place is super romantic.

Kaffehaus is charming. The coffee is superb. On a weekday morning people are sparse. They do have an extensive menu available in English too. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend ordering a pot of coffee. So far this places comes closest to serving American coffee. There is outdoor seating too. Enjoy!

Little over priced for what you get. Service not very good. But nice view. If you're close by stop in. But don't be in a hurry.

I bought my tickets in September and the hours had changed by November and we showed up with no service for the lift. Although we came back the next day I wasn't totally impressed. There is a portion of the berlin wall up there that is beautiful. the maps outline the city nicely however the DB building is in the way of the best view of the city. There are iron bars that go all the way around and don't really give you a good view of the city. I thought there would be a viewing deck with glass or plexiglass wall to see the city but there was not. We stopped in for a coffee and snack before we left but after standing at the bar for a few minutes we were not served and we left. I liked that it was self guided (no limits on time or space). If you have the money it's worth the few pictures. We went back the next morning after we were turned away and there was a thick fog over the city. The coolest things to view are brandenburg gates, jewish memorial and the new jewish synagogue
