Waffle with strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Cafe Bondi
    Bonnie B.

I got a bad impression the first time I came here (the kitchen had closed at least 45 minutes early), which has since dissipated in the many good impressions I've had. Delicious food, nice people, comfortable ambiance - a really nice neighborhood cafe. Breakfast, lunch, freshly-squeezed juices, coffee, pastry & bread, cakes. The little salad that comes on the side is superior to most little side salads; the cold drinks have lots of ice cubes and the cubes are larger than average, so the iced lattes really are cold. You can order at the counter or sit down for table service. It is all scrumptious and the people are always nice. There's a sign by the cash register that encourages people with a clear "Be nice or go away." Every time I come I hope for pancakes as in the 10/5/2017 photograph, but have not yet seen them on in the menu. My favorite remains the waffle with strawberry compote. P.S. Bondi is the name of a beach near Sydney, Australia; the owners are Australian.

I was happy to find this little gem in the neighborhood. Owners are from Sydney so it has a laid back vibe with classic Aussie brunch dishes. I saw that lunch items were also available. You can basically build your own breakfast so I got two poached eggs on sourdough with bacon and avocado. I didn't realize it also came with a side salad. Everything was tasty except half my avocado was brown. Their coffee cups are more like bowls. Huge size meant I could not finish my mocha, but it sure was good. They have a nice selection of teas and coffee along with juices and smoothies. You can find healthy and indulgent meals here. There are many locals so definitely a neighborhood spot worth checking out.

Came here for a quick breakfast on a lovely Sunday and I was immediately greeted by the server. I appreciated the minimalistic decor, which made the place seem more modern and hip. Almost everything about this place was great, except for the food. Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't bad, but for price, I definitely expected more. The orange juice (€4) was standard, and the poached eggs on the Coogie Breakfast (€12) were overcooked and rubbery. Overall, I liked this spot but there's definitely room for improvement. The food looked better than it tasted, but I would still probably come back for a quick bite and a nice ambience.

Breakfast ends by 11am during the week. I was hoping to still catch breakfast but oh well. The only thing one could still order from the breakfast menu was the baguette sandwiches. FOOD: -I ordered a small cappuccino with #3 baguette (avocado, sonnenblumenkerne, parmesan, balsamicocreme, rucola). It has balsamic vinegar, some sort of nuts & parmesan cheese. Tasted pretty good. Light meal. -Ordered the orange juice and indeed it's fresh! SERVICE: -You can only pay cash here. -The waiters all speak some English. The restaurant is small. Very casual setting. The dining setup is a mix of wooden benches, one long table at the back, some chairs in front, and 2 small tables that can sit 4 people each. There is a unisex restroom downstairs. It's clean and small.

When we got there the only thing they served was avocado toast and there weren't any eggs which was a disappointment but! The toast was really good anyway and we got really full even though the portions seemed small at first

This little brunch cafe is absolutely delicious. Mastering a well thought out menu with delicious egg based dishes with salmon on bread (as this is what I got and it was divine). I love the atmosphere here and I can definitely say that hopefully on my next trip to Berlin I can be lucky enough to come back here.

If I could give just the Belgian Waffle here a 5, I would! Wowzas it was delicious. Avocado toast & Bronte breakfast pictured tasted good. But did I tell you about the waffle? Yeah it was gone before I got a picture. Coffee is delicious and outside seating made for a quaint brunch spot.

Very good breakfast! I had the Coogee breakfast. Large portions of both tea and food, and very friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing. Food was amazing. Coffee was amazing. Service was amazing. And there wasn't anybody there!!! I would expect a line out the door and around the block for Saturday brunch. So.. go soon before everyone finds out about this place. We had the farmers breakfast with bacon and avocado toast, mocha, fresh orange juice and the milchkaffee. All amazing!!

The portion is gigantic so don't expect to finish it, loved the flavor and richness of the sauce. The eggs were a little too done for my liking, I usually prefer them more runny. The most shocking thing was the prices, because it didn't seem like the English menu had them. Especially for the shakshuka, the add-ons really add up.

Really enjoyed Factory girl for its hipstery vibe and well designed menu... the food paired really well together (mine was the egg with bread potato microgreens tomato and cheese ) It was absolutely delicous and I licked my plate practically clean.. My friend who is vegan got the plate with no egg and cheese. They gave them faux minced meat and eggplant to replace the egg which looked delicious!! The only thing I had an issue with this place was the price point (I thought it was pretty expensive) and when I ordered a coffee , they gave me a bottle of cold brew with ice... I kinda wanted like a fresh iced latte but thats not the biggest deal just a misunderstanding I think. Service was very friendly and they only accept cards ! This place would be a good date spot to show someone you really like them (and you pay for the meal )

The fact that clean, delicious (and often vegan!) food can exist in a modern, aesthetically pleasing restaurant and that people who don't abide by certain dietary restrictions can enjoy and crave. I have an enormous soft spot for baked beans over toast. An English breakfast, if you may. (This is the one mainstay of all of the weeks I've spent in London.) And most of the time, I have a hard time getting this baked beans-over-toast fix because I don't eat red meat, so a proper English breakfast would be out of the question. Not in Berlin. Not at Chipps. I came in on a rainy fall morning on the hunt for the Perfect Gentlemen: scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans over toast, and my choice of a vegetarian sausage. And while utterly veg-friendly and endearingly hip (the baked beans came to my table in a little jar), I couldn't help but notice that the meal, such a British staple, fell flat because of what I was comparing it to. The two pieces of vegetarian sausage were cold and the baked beans were just a tad too sweet. But still, maybe Chipps could be your Berlin. Try one of the many other options they have on their menu and I have a feeling you won't be disappointed.
