We have been eating here since we moved to Covington in 2001 and it never disappoints! When you walk in, the wonderful aroma of Italian scents welcomes you, we were seated immediately and our waitress was there within 2 minutes. They have a bar which has wine, beer some mixed drinks, but no frozen drinks. Our server was very attentive to our needs and drinks were always full.,our meal came out piping hot, they brought us a basket of complimentary garlic bread, they were delicious! The food looked amazing, piping hot and tasted amazing. I definitely would recommend Milan's for an evening out . It was a great experience and I am so glad we chose this place, did I mention the yummy aroma of Italian spices, and garlic, it smelled so good that I want my home to smell like that! Oh I almost forgot the most important part our dinks! I had a Malibu rum and pineapple it was out of this world good! My husband had a glass of red wine Moscato, he thought it was a little sweet but I tasted it and I liked it a lot. It tasted like Moscato with hint of red wine. I thought it was delicious

I have been to this restaurant on several occasions, and each time it's been great overall The only thing I don't like is when they seem to not be busy, they want to seat you to the back of the restaurant where the wall is. No, thank you, feels claustrophobic and less open space. The complimentary bread is delicious but can be a bit oily. They have excellent soup, the lobster bisque is excellent! It had plenty of lobster in it, but they only sell it on weekends. The house salad is also excellent! My other favorite dishes are the chicken parmigiana, shrimp and lobster pasta, and the crawfish special. I like that you can order spaghetti and order as many or as few meatballs as you want along with other toppings. The lasagna was good but lacked meat. The staff is also very friendly and provides excellent customer service!

Cafe Milano is super cute and feels like a nice little tucked away bistro. We had a great server who was super attentive and funny but I never caught her name. The menu is pretty long but she was able to make some great recommendations. My friend and I wanted to explore the menu so he ordered a few different wines and I ended up getting a Samoa cookie martini which was VERY good, and pretty. For an app, we ordered fried artichoke hearts which were pretty good. I think it would have been better with a little mozzarella on it then fried. For entrees, we got the lasagna, eggplant parm, and veal parm. All of which were pretty good. The eggplant parm surprisingly had the best taste to me. The house salad is packed with veggies and the dressing was really good. I would get that over the Caesar. The breadsticks aren't like Olive Garden. They're a different type of bread, that I'm sure I've had before on a sandwich - like ciabatta, where it's firm on top but soft and kinda spongey on the bottom. We finished it with a salted caramel cheesecake which was pretty good too. It was kinda mousse like and rich. Overall we had a really good experience and I would go back.

1/5 Came here one or two weekends ago for a big family dinner (25-30ppl). The waiters took forever to come and take our drink order, but the waters came out quickly. I ordered a lemon drop that took 30 mins to get to me. While finishing my drink, the bread FINALLY came out after what felt like an hour of being there. The bread looked uncooked and was HEAVY with the flavor of garlic and literally nothing else. Not salt, no cheese, not herbs, just garlic. My cousin ordered marinara for dipping and that also tasted like nothing but tomatoes, again no herbs or salt. After waiting another 20-30 mins they started bringing out the salads, which was just okay. I spotted welded lettuce mixed in with fresh lettuce on the plate. About 15-20 mins after the salads came out we finally got our food. The kicker is only half of the meals came out, and majority of that half lacked flavor. One person ordered the shrimp w/rice and veggies and the rice was congealed together and the shrimp were over salted. It was so bad my cousin made the waitress taste her chicken rene (w/o ham) and the waitress gagged then immediately took the food away. The worst part is those who did not receive their main course was still charged for it. Everyone who had a problem with that got it changed, but because it took soooo long for the checks to come; others just paid it so they could quickly leave. The one star is literally for the open parking lot. Moral of the story: Maybe they had a really bad night, but I certainly won't be back.

I have to say this was my first time here and it definitely won't be my last. The ambiance was cozy and cute. Nice for a date night. Take the beet off the salad if you don't like beets like I don't. You remember they used to give them at school? Eeeew. Anyway so the pasta was so good. Alfredo sauce was def not out of a jar. The waitress was the cutest and very attentive. 9.5/10

Stopped in with family for a early dinner. The service was a bit slow well maybe not a bit it just was slow, but we were patient because they had signs up saying they were short staffed. The food was okay. It left a little more to be desired for me. The chicken breast did not have flavor and it was cooked pretty tough. The baked zitit lacked flavor as well. The cheese was the saving grace. The cheese sticks were just warm so the cheese was thick and just stuck. The bread was pretty good though. There was a wait probably about 15 to 20 minutes. Parking was a breeze.

This restaurant is near perfection! It was my second time coming here and it is really authentic and excellent. I rarely ever give a place 5 stars however I could not find anything wrong with Cafe Milano. I had the chicken Parmesan and it is to die for. Served with soup or salad, a side of pasta and fresh hot garlic rolls. My server was on the ball with everything! She never let my drink get below half full, continously asked if everything was great and what else she could get me? She earned a great 40% tip! Will definitely be back again very soon!!!

I have seen this simple looking Itailan cafe. Set back in a strip mall for years. Never really thinking that it look like a place that served a good Italian meal, comfort food. But you know the saying don't judge a book by its cover. Well I did and wish I had step in this place the first time I noticed it. The inside looks and feels like an Itailan family lives and cooks beautiful meals there. First, the stuffed mushrooms were beautiful orbs of sausage stuffed in a plump cap of goodness with a little bit of garlicky liquid gold. Fried artichoke hearts with garlic butter dripped over the top of those hot little chunks of golden crunchy goodness. Chicken cacciatore with huge pieces of chicken and peppers and mushrooms with a little spicy red sauce was very comforting. I love when food makes me happy. The Chicken Française was so lemony garlic swimming around the chicken and noodles. So yummy. My meal came with beef fagioli, I tasted it laid my spoon down just unhinged my jaw picked up the bowl and dumped it down my throat, it was so effin good. The little nuggets of bread were nice crispiness on the outside soft in the middle with a little garlic butter again dripped over the top. To end the meal was a beautiful lemoncello cream cake. Let's just say after the first bite I just let my face fall forward with my gaping hole wide open and ate the whole cake in one fell swoop. I will be back!! Fair warning.

The portion size was generous--so filling that I couldn't finish it and had to take the rest to go, which I actually appreciated. It's the kind of dish that feels heavy in a good way, and I would order it again. Before the entrée, I had the Chicken & Gnocchi soup, and that was more hit-or-miss for me. While it was warm and filling, the flavor leaned too salty, and the spinach in particular was questionable. The taste and texture of it stood out in a bad way and almost ruined the soup for me, which was disappointing--especially since it tasted better when paired with the breadsticks. I even asked for a second bowl at first, but the spinach really threw things off. As for drinks, I had a Sprite. The flavor was normal, but it was a bit flat, which made it less refreshing than expected. Overall, the Chicken Alfredo was the highlight and worth ordering, while the soup was inconsistent. Some things really worked, others didn't--but the portion size and creaminess of the Alfredo made the meal enjoyable overall.

My wife and I…read moredecided to pop in last week....later in the evening with about an hour left on their open sign. Grabbed a table, got the menu....made our orders (lasagna for me; chicken parm for the bride) and settled while the kitchen was making food....freshly made food. Foremost...the place is homey. The people that I saw there and coming in behind us were uniformly blue collar; leathered gloves types that were hungry. Hard workers with an appetite. Almost every one were there right from work; on the way home from work....or already back home to pick up their wife to go out for dinner. Nothing pretentious about the place....these guys aren't into Italian decorations and knick knacks, they came for the food. They all looked happy and they all left looking content. They all took their hats off when they came in the door and when the food arrived; they all said grace. Tough guys like it homey, clean and good. Ditto for us. The salad with the meal was...ice cold; fresh tomatoes just cut, a helping of cheese and peppers with a wonderful vinagrete dressing. Small things speak volumes....the salad is alway the first indicator for us. The food came out just perfect and with the warning about not touching the baking dish as it was very hot. Myself....I've heard that warning many times...and touching the dish proved that the server was wrong. Not here. Just like it needs to be....hot enough to sizzle and finish cooking down the food even while off of the fire or out of the ovens. Our waitress wasn't lying...unlike other places that tell the servers to say that line to offset any premise of liability. Our gal was shooting straight with us. The food was wonderful and the surroundings were both clean and polished; table was cleaned and washed down after each patron left as were the seats before being put back into place. Why did Atlanta Pizza & Gyro survive while most of the restaurants around this area have closed down and now sitting vacant? It would include all of the above....good food, welcome and homey seating areas, friendly folks working each table, great food at a very reasonable price....and everything was fresh, cold or hot with clientele that enjoy a good meal with their families and can find it right here at this location that survives and thrives each downturn by having just the right ingredients for their food and accommodations for all. The boss has the recipe for success in a very tough business. We'll be back.

Didn't have to lose my parking space, a recent Chicago transplant I was dying for a good gyro. I got there and it was fairly busy during lunch. Good sign. I looked over the menu and saw they had Italian beef. If you know a Chicagoan, this seemed like the holy grail of Atlanta restaurants. Italian beef sandwiches and gyros are 2 of Chicago's biggest and loved sandwiches. I go with the Italian beef with cheese and hot peppers. I get back to the office and sit at my desk, opened my food, and was so disappointed. This definitely wasn't it. My first clue was asking the cashier about the sandwich and her really having no clue of what it was. There was more bread than meat. The flavor wasn't there and the gravy/au jus wasn't hitting either. It was just a skimpy roast beef sandwich. I let a couple of coworkers try it and they weren't feeling it either. I just threw it out. If the owner sees this, I would recommend sourcing your Italian beef from a brand that specializes in it out of Chicago. You can find it at GFS or Sysco. Look for Vienna brand, Scala's, Ditka (the food company of the former Bears coach Mike Ditka), or Buona beef. Also, don't skimp on the sandwich. It's pretty much just meat and bread with optional toppings. Just saying put some respect on the sandwich. It's also made on good fresh French bread. I haven't been back after that. It was also the last Italian beef I tried in the Atlanta area. If you make a hot roast beef sub, that's great, but don't call it Italian beef.

So I'm a big boy and usually dont eat anything all morning, so I can eat 4 or 5 bowls, especially as they fill it less and less with each bowl to trick me I guess. I would actually be out of there sooner if they filled them to the top as I am eating that Zuppa Toscana deliciousness till I cant. Here is the kicker, the last couple bowls are awfully watery, you can tell they pour some water in there, or add less stuff to the broth, or something as the broth is even mostly clear and you can taste the difference. That may only be the one in Covington GA that does it, but they have done it several times with different servers, so I am convinced its a policy or directed by the manager. Another thing, from what was mentioned to me by a server who asked me to pay for the meal early and she would still serve me, the servers get dinged if the person is at the table more than 29 minutes, so they have a big incentive to brow beat and avoid your eyes for refills hoping you will leave. Still the service is super good, I haven't had a less than stella experience from the people that work there. The watered down last couple bowls still tastes alright so I would still recommend going here if you like Olive Garden.

There were two young ladies working the front counter. Both were wearing gloves, but instead of handling food with professionalism and care, they were laughing, playing around, and repeatedly checking their phones with the same gloves they were using to prepare and handle customers' food. That is not only unprofessional -- it is unsanitary. Gloves are meant to protect the food from contamination, not to become a tool for spreading it. What made it worse was that they clearly saw me standing there and continued the behavior as if it was normal practice. It did not appear to be a one-time mistake. It looked routine, which raises serious concerns about management oversight and food safety standards at this location. The following day, I called the store to speak with the General Manager to address the issue properly. The manager who answered the phone had an extremely nasty attitude and hung up on me mid-conversation. That level of disrespect toward a paying customer is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the entire establishment. Food service requires accountability, professionalism, and basic hygiene standards. If those expectations cannot be met, customers will understandably lose trust. I hope ownership takes this review seriously and implements better supervision and training before someone gets sick or the business reputation suffers further.
