Amazing churros. There are several different flavors of fillings to pick from. I got the cajeta and the lechera. My mom got Nutella. All the flavors were really good. The churros were very hot and fresh. $3 a churro seems a tad steep, but they were worth it. They are pretty good size. It did take about 10+ mins for the churros to be ready. They were worth the wait. The girl behind the register was friendly and informed us what all the fillings were since they were in Spanish. That was much appreciated. There is plenty of indoor seating. I almost got a coffee too as those looked really good. We will absolutely be back next time we're in Ensenada. read more

Whenever we are in Ensenada, we always come here for the Chocolate filled Churros! They always are busy, lots of tourists go here especially when they are in a walking tour. It is conveniently located up the street from the Cruise ports to the left side. The only draw back was I wanted my drink cold, they made it hot, and it came out to $13 (for two churros and two small coffees). I gave a $20 and they said they didn't have dollars for change. I even tried to ask if they can throw in another filled churro and they said they can't do it. They do accept Apple Pay and credit cards but it's been a year since I came here, not sure if I did that last time. I already was holding up the line so I just said I would take pesos for change. Next time I am here, I will bring smaller bills as they don't have change. Churros were good but very comparable to ones you can get in most places in Southern California. It was my first time trying a filled churro so that was a fun treat. They make everything fresh so you have to wait about 10 min for the order to come out. The latte was really sweet. It was good but didn't taste like the horchata lattes I normally get at home. I had made a critical error by getting no fillings at our first churro stop in Cabo and it turned out to be a lot dryer than expected due to the lack of filling. So when we came to check out this churro cafe in Ensenada, I made sure we got a variety of fillings (strawberry, chocolate, condensed milk, & Nutella) so we can try them all! While it's a bit on the pricey side IMO, the churros were delicious! I found this nice coffee shop on my return visit to Ensenada Mexico. This two story shop is very spacious and has a very traditional Mexico vibe. It offers empanadas, coffee cakes and mocha drinks. The empanadas are small (bite size) but very flavorful. I'd definitely recommend the fig empanada. It wasn't sweet and was definitely worth the price. This is our fourth visit to this café, and it's definitely our go to place in Ensenada. The trails are their specialty and we always get their traditional style. Awesome cafe that serves hot and cold drinks along with tasty churros. This place is located very close to Av Adolfo López Mateos where tourists via cruise ships usually shop and stroll. It's a great place to stop and relax. The workers can speak fluent English too so I had no problems ordering. The vanilla ice cream was truly creamy and had a great strong vanilla taste. The la lechera sauce was heavenly sweet! We coupled it with a caramel latte! The ambience was very comfortable. The establishment has two levels and they set it up like a study room you would see in mansions but with a homey feel. I was here for the first time really excited to visit with my step mom whose been here countless times. Its good to consider that the times shes visited she says theres always many young people that hang out and lay on the couches and lay their legs on the footrests. During the whole trip, we kept an eye out for a churro cart but never had any luck. We finally found Café La Churreria to satisfy our sweet tooth craving. I ordered two churros, one filled with a guava cream and the other with custard. They weren't overwhelmingly sweet, which is a good thing for me. The churros were alright, definitely not the best I've had. I actually think Disneyland churros are better but these had a decent crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside.
