We didn't know about this place. Our private tour guide took is here because he highly recommends this place and my husband and I ate avid coffee drinkers. I don't remember what my husband ordered but I ordered Cafe Mocha (we just went thru their drive-thru). Oh my gosh the coffee was HOT!! LoL but as soon as it cooled off I was able to enjoy it and our tour guide was right. The coffee was great! the taste was rich and flavorful and gave me the energy I needed for the day. read more

Location: I've been coming here whenever I visit ensenada. I love the location it's in la primera (tourist place). They just renovated it and added wine and bar area. They also have tables outside! Defiantly insta worthy! 10/10 Food: I tried the mediterránea and I liked it. It has pesto, cheese, red peppers, and fried eggplant. Would definitely try if you're vegetarian. My dad has the tortilla soap and he had no complaints and liked it. 10/10 Coffee: The frappe was good. However, I wouldn't get it again. I didn't feel it tasted like Oreo but more of a mocha. I also tried the latte and it tasted strong. 7/10 I didn't get cake this time however I have in the past and they're delicious!!! I haven't tried one I didn't like. Customer service is also good! I came here on a Friday morning looking for good coffee and a pastry go with it. My impression from the outside was good given the size of the place compared to the little coffee shops across. When I walked in though, all smiles because I was about to get coffee, I was completely ignored. The barista was busy making other coffee so she hadnt see me at first. She was talking to another girl that was sitting way on the other side of the room. Yes the place was empty but she was loudly talking about who knows what. When she finally turned around and saw me, she didn't bother to say: Good morning, I will be with you in just a minute or anything that made me feel welcomed. I was like oh well not everyone has good customer service, whatever. I proceeded to look at their menu which was ok. I mean normal menu for a coffee shop. I then looked at their pastries and nop they look old and not even appealing on presentation. When the barista past me by to bring the coffee to her friend in the back and completely ignored me again. I stood there for a second, thinking ok now is my turn she will say something to me. Instead she continued to talk to her friend. Needless to say, I left the place without coffee. Made my way to another place a block down the street best choice ever and I will review it next. read more

Super cute place with yummy treats. I met an out of town guest there. It was the cutest, most perfect spot for a nice hot drink and some yummy baked goods. They also have a variety home made breads--I didn't try them but they looked really good. read more

It doesn't look like cafe in Mexico. It seems like I am in a cafe located in Europe. The ambience is very moody.. Great place to enjoy coffee and chat with friends. Was looking for a place to work from, I put in, a good 6 hours of work here, with a couple of Non-fat Latte's. My drink was excellent, foamy, hot well balanced. Lounging areas are separated in sections. Main section has the baristas working-along with average to high noise level. The adjacent room area music a little loud with upright chairs. 3rd area has a little more laid back chairs, few single sofas with access to out side sitting and also an upstairs al-fresco to enjoy the crisp morning air. Clean restrooms. WiFi available. Not much a choice for food, pastries only but no kitchen or anything light. Wish they would offer as little as sandwiches or something. Would make that remote working experience 10x better. Plenty of bandwidth on WiFi however one of my collaboration programs for meetings wold not work under this connection, i had resorted to use my own hot-spot at this point. read more

Mexicans are some of the hardest working people in the world. Just look at all they do for us gringos in the United States -- bus tables, make food, clean houses, mow grass...the list goes on. Their handicrafts are often exquisite; their mole one of the planet`s culinary treasures. So what`s up with the lousy cookies? I hate to complain, but please don`t come to Mexico for the baked goods. Those donuts they sell on the street? Not worth even the three cent asking price. Bakeries are kinda fun though; you grab a pair of tongs and pile your tray high with "treats." Disappointment doesn`t set in until you get back home and taste: this one has sugar sprinkles and that one white icing, but underneath their sugary veneer they`re all the same -- dry and bland. Which brings me to Zu Taza. It looks like sort of an average place, and for the most part it is. Just another place to get coffee on a street full of places to get coffee. The decor is perfectly acceptable, the service polite. But oh the cakes! Apple, orange, lemon, carrot -- try them all. They`re not fancy like the supposedly French creations a few doors down at the (overhyped) Rey del Sol. They just taste good. read more

Just average coffee and the price is cheap. I have yet to buy coffee in Ensenada's coffee shops that have real cream. All the places have milk or low fat milk which is not satisfying. I wish they would give half and half or heavy cream. No luck. read more

Amazing coffee! The barista was really friendly and helpful too. We sat outside with our dog. I like how they have a few chairs outside with a counter. I've never had an issue getting a seat out here but there are not many chairs outside. We'll definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love this spot. It's a chain similar to Starbucks but it taste better and this particular location has convenient parking and the inside is roomy and comfortable! The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is their customer service. Of all my visits, I would say employees were cool half the time.
