That being said the staff are genuine, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our need for someplace to sit. The room is long with the stage at one end and the bar close to the entrance. I noticed that there is an area for 18-20 year old at the front of the business so they can enjoy the music. The quality of the sound was excellent and this is for a group with complicated sound and music. The prices at the bar are about average. I will keep my eye on their schedule for when they may have someone I can appreciate. When there are certain groups the seating is limited to the stools along the wall but I would imagine the age of crowd that would attend doesn't care about standing.

Great place for a show. Coming in was confusing. The entry is in the center and up the stairs. But we had to check in first and get our hands stamped, in the door just to the right. Friendly and helpful staff the whole time, at check-in, the door, bar, etc. Go up the stairs and there is a little landing with bathrooms and a sort of recovery room thing- didn't go in there, but looked like a place to escape the crowd and noise. Straight in the double doors is the show venue, a cool old theater. Great sound, nice lighting. Bar is up another set of stairs, with a small balcony with tables. Accessibility might be an issue; I saw no elevator though there could be one. Two sets of steep stairs were hard on an old guy with bad knees, especially coming down from the bar with drinks. Pizza and burgers, etc., at the bar, nice to have handy. Fast friendly service. Downstairs, the bar to the left of the entry looks quite nice, and they had the show on a TV. Crowd wasn't massive so you could wander up and down and enjoy all areas. Definitely would come back for another show.

My husband could not get the beer he wanted as they were out so he settled for another. He ordered my Riesling but they had to go fetch a warm bottle from the basement. The sound was pretty good, although since we were standing under the speakers, it was difficult for me to hear his between song chats with the audience. I would return. I love old places with character and this suits my enjoyment of small Indy shows.

We were here for a show upstairs on a Friday. I misread the information about will-call, so we…read moreshowed up around 5:30. The doors to the upstairs venue were to open at 7:00. We walked into the bar downstairs. Thankfully someone asked what we needed and then they were able to get our show wristbands. We were set and headed to dinner. When we returned after 7:00, there was someone right at the door handing out wristbands. We could have skipped the early drop in. Live and learn. I liked the small venue upstairs and the different chair options. We were early enough we had our choice of seats. I thought the sound was good, but we all had trouble understanding the singing. Of course I figured it was my ears, but after the show everyone admitted they had trouble as well. This seems like a possible limitation of the sound system. That said, the music itself sounded great. The Revival Room has its own bar and two bathrooms, one each outside the doors to the side of the stage. All of this is very convenient. We didn't eat or drink, so no comments on either. I checked the calendar and there's nothing coming up I'd like to see, but I wouldn't think twice about coming here for music.

I have been coming to this bar for a few years. There is always so much violence, to a level that's…read moreinsane. I've seen people get shot, stabbed, punched in the face, I mean all kinds of thing. I mostly just keep to myself or with my small group of friends. The other day I was there and this bartender (whom is newer) told several people (all but me) that I was sitting at the bar selling drugs. This is a complete lie. I went to confront her, she refused to talk to me. I then asked the "head bartender" and she said she would review cameras. They never reviewed anything, and the cops showed up. Nothing ever came out of it. This place is so rude, create drama for no reason. The owners should reconsider who they have running this place.
