By the end I couldn't even eat them with my hands because they were so overloaded with meat. Truly worth the price. The only thing I can pick on was that the beef was slightly overcooked, so the texture was kinda dry. We placed our order by scanning the QR code, and it took about 10 to 12 minutes to get our food, which was a pretty decent waiting time. My vegetarian partner had the burrito, and it was HUGE.

But this place was not good. I ordered 1 veggie taco and 1 veggie tamale. My partner ordered a chicken burrito. We also got a side order of chips & churros. The veggies in the taco were super soggy and bland. The corn tortillas were soggy, floppy, and seemed hardly cooked. The pico de gallo did not have good flavor. The tamale was wrapped in a banana leaf, and the tamale itself was also soggy and bland. It had a weird "vegetable soup" taste and was frankly inedible. My partner said the burrito was fine but not something he enjoyed or would crave. The churros were dry, stale, and also inedible. The chips were fine, but we only liked 1 of the 4 salsas we tried. Service was friendly, but we paid almost $40 for mostly inedible food.

It has that hole-in-the-wall feel off Aurora, but honestly, this is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have been looking for months, really years, for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Seattle area that actually feels worth coming back to. A lot of places have been average, or they have dishes like bún riêu or bún bò Huế on the menu but do not really do them well. Lotus Pond does. I tried the bún riêu and the bò né with steak and sizzling eggs, and both were delicious. My friend got the seafood pho and loved it too. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about the food, and I really appreciated seeing menu items that you usually have to search far and wide for, or go somewhere like Orange County or Houston to find done properly. The only downside is that it is definitely on the expensive side, but I will absolutely be coming back. The outside may not be flashy, but the food is seriously worth it.

And honestly I was disappointed, not the tastiest broth around and it just didn't get me. I might have to try it again anyways.

They also had a promo going on where if you spend over $59 you get a free gyoza and Thai iced tea. With all that food we only paid around $90 including a small tip. We compared our exact order to another Thai restaurant we go to pretty regularly and it would've been around $110 there, and that's without the free gyoza and Thai tea. Everything had really good flavor and the spice level was actually accurate. There are so many places where you order 4 or 5 stars and it barely tastes like a 2, but this place actually got it right. The portions were filling and the value was definitely there for what we paid. It's honestly rare finding a restaurant in Seattle now that has good food, decent portions and doesn't feel ridiculously overpriced, but my family and I definitely found our new favorite Thai spot.

I always try some basic things at new places (drunken noodle and pad thai with tofu as well as thai teas) and was so surprised at how saucy and flavorful this place was. My one complaint is that it was a bit too flavorful (maybe a little over salty for my personal palate) but it was so punched/packed with flavor that I can't complain. The thai tea was also rich and creamy and hit the spot. We had some leftovers and added in some extra veggies/tofu the next day and it hit the spot. Good fast casual spot with reasonable prices so I anticipate we'll be back.

Highly recommend that you order online or call it in first because it can take a while if you order to go when you show up. The only thing is I wish their online ordering allowed you to add a note. I can't eat eggs but there's no way to omit that from the Pad See Ew and other dishes that include egg.
