We asked Robert to come estimate on the filling of these two holes as well as to fix the newly broken downspout drainage pipe (the original company also burst the main water pipe). Also asked him about some asphalt areas that were affected by tree roots. Hired him to do all of it. They did a great job filling, removing, and paving. Everything was also completed before deadline and any debris was cleaned up. In the future, my plan is to hire him to seal my asphalt. His price is very competitive also. And scheduling was easy. The owner of Seattle Roofing came out and confirmed that it had come from my roof. He flew a drone to inspect the roof but said he couldn't find where it came from. Then on June 18, 2026, I noticed something else that didn't look right on the roof. I contacted the company, and a technician came out and fixed one issue, but he left without any explanation or even letting me know he was finished. Using my phone's zoom feature, I could still see an area of the roof that didn't look right. I asked the company to have the technician come back. Unfortunately, I received rude responses from Steven. He always spoke as if the problem was somehow my fault. I had to follow up several times and remind him that the rainy season was approaching, but nothing happened. This was only the second time Seattle Roofing had to send someone out to my house since installing the roof. If the job had been done correctly the first time, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Eventually, I received a response saying that the technician had determined the area was fine. I sent Steven an updated photo and asked whether the exposed section of the roof looked acceptable to him. I never received a response. You can decide for yourself by looking at the photos and determining whether you would want to hire a company that treats customers this way after they've already been paid. I spent a lot of money on this roof for the peace of mind that it would protect my home. Instead, I'm left worrying about potential issues, trying to find someone else to correct what appears to be their mistake, and still have not received any explanation as to why the exposed section of the roof is considered acceptable. They never failed to deliver in a timely manner on every task requested whether it be collecting product samples for design meetings or having revised drawings ready for discussion on promised dates. Hope has gone as far as securing product samples on her day off in order to be prepared for the following day's client meeting. Tenhulzen employs their own administrative and carpentry staff. Everyone are pleasant to deal with and are very accommodating. Other production functions are subcontracted. Costs are divided into two groups - design and production. The contract agreements are different between the two groups. It appears harder to develop a design budget compared to one for production. This may cause problems for clients wanting to fund their project through a bank loan and need a pretty solid dollar value. Design costs become known as the work gets completed and billed. Not a deal breaker but do pay closer attention. Overall, Tenhulzen is a creative and talented group of people willing to go the extra mile for you.
