My daughter and I dined here for brunch recently and enjoyed our meals. Cadillac has a diner-like aesthetic and feel to it with very friendly and attentive staff. Their menu is loaded with options whether you're craving breakfast or lunch foods. Both portions were quite large and my daughter ended up having the second half of her lunch for dinner, which she was thrilled about. She said her curly fries were "the best she's ever had," which is a big statement coming from an 11 year old. I had a simple Baja omelette with hashbrowns which hit the spot. We were in the area visiting and looked up on yelp & found this cafe. Located in a middle of a very small town on the corner. Blink and you will miss it. Small cafe with plenty of parking. Upon entering immediately greeted and seated. Ordered breakfast and received food fresh, hot. Food delicious except potatoes are in chunks and a tad hard. We did ask for well done but still receive tad uncooked potatoes. Recommend smaller pieces to complete cooking. Salsa homemade was delicious including refried beans. No internet service. We stumbled onto this lovely diner yesterday while returning from Aptos. We were there right before closing, but the staff couldn't have been nicer. Having grown up in the hotel business, I know that with good quality ingredients and a decent chef, it's possible to have good food. However, it's the people who work in a restaurant who make the difference from a good to great experience. Plus, the food was wonderful and very reasonably priced. Been going there for a 100 years through multiple owners since Jonny Loza. I will say since a couple weekends ago Cadillac is off the rotation. I went in to eat a half hour before closing. The staff told me to take a seat then said they are only taking to go orders. They close at 3pm so they start closing at 2:30 I guess. Whatever weak. read more

We loved Cadillac Cafe and will definitely be back! They have Mexican breakfast items, mimosas and HUGE micheladas, a solid tuna melt and clam chowder, onion rings, great service, and are open until 3 pm! All that equals IDEAL BRUNCH PLACE!!! I have a rule when I'm on the coast: If there's clam chowder on the menu, we order a cup. This one was very good. Everything--the clams, potatoes--was diced very finely, which was different, but not in a bad way. I think it made everything more evenly distributed. I don't miss the huge chunks of potatoes you find in some clam chowders, but I do miss the whole clams. Not sure what that red spice is (paprika, tajin)? It was seasoned well and not salty. Best part: Only $3.50 a cup! Phil's in Castroville still has the best clam chowder IMO, but this one made it high on the list! read more

I ordered a special omelette, which came with mushrooms, pineapple and guacamole. It tasted pretty good and I also loved their hash browns. The place is small, I think that's why the wait time is a little bit longer. However it was worth it. Parking wasn't hard to find but it can be a little bit harder depending of the day and time. I haven't been here in 6 years, it's an under new ownership. The waitress came over right away and took our drink order. She was very pleasant and brought our drinks quickly. The restaurant was very full, but the had a full staff. I ordered chicken club sandwich and curly fries. It was an interesting sandwich, they used chicken patties, 3 slices of bread, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, bacon. Not the best quality club I've had, it was an interesting combination. But it's a very busy place, great staff. The restaurant looks like a 50's themed, it looks clean. It's a great location at the 5 mile house in Corralitos. Even though my sandwich wasn't the greatest I want to come back and try breakfast, it's so busy and people we're enjoying themselves. Mild Green Salsa was the highlight. Served with choice of pancakes (2) or hash browns, and toast or fresh fruit. We ordered the pancakes was our carb indulgence, and our server (owner?) Hector was nice enough to offer extra avocado as another option instead of toast or fruit. I ordered huevos rancheros, and I haven't ordered that ever before. All the food was very fresh. The pancakes are so fluffy and delicious with butter. However, the menu did a wonderful job describing how appetizing it tastes. Props to whoever wrote the menu because everything sounds delicious. The food was hot and fresh. The service was amazing, and the wait wasn't too long considering it was New Year's day. The atmosphere was very clean and cozy. I like how they have the outside seating too. Found this café on yelp. Be prepared to wait during the weekend. The food was ok. The chorizo burrito seem to have more of a potato fill than anything. If I came back, I definitely would not order it again. The nachos were pretty good. What turned us off about this location was the amount of flies buzzing around. Definitely took away from our experience. We where seated near the back doors, which entered their patio. While there we saw a couple of dogs in the restaurant, a couple of bunnies with patrons and felt as if we were in a pet shop. If your in the area stop by the community shop, they offer some light snacks and the nursery across the street should not be missed. read more

We had the most amazing time here. We were staying at Seascapes Resort (just bought a beachhouse there for my wife). Woke up and drove 9 minutes to Cadillac Cafe. On the way we passed by a lot of horse ranches. Lovely drive. Parking was very easy. We were greeted warmly by Hector the owner. We felt like we were part of his extended family. We ate California Omelette ( with the best salsa ever ). 10/10 TIP - Order some extra salsa (free) to pour over the last bite you will not regret it . Salsa is made by Hector himself.
