SO BADD!!!! Dont ever come here like honestly it would be better to go anywhere else for food. I've gone here 2 times and both times have been bad experiences. The first time we went they gave us undercooked shrimp and after asking for it to be cooked a little more they gave us the same shrimp again NOT cooked for longer The second time, we went hoping for a redemption. It wasn't busy at all and we were seated pretty quick. The food was really good but the only bad thing was the service :/ We only ordered 3 things; the cheese sticks, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, and another pasta. It was almost 2 hours of being there and we had still not gotten our food. We had asked our waiter like 3 times if our food was ready and he kept saying i'll check on it and never coming back to tell us We did end up getting our food but at that point we just wanted to leave. So all in all it was a good experience ---I was a little skeptical , given some recent reviews , but we weren't looking for fine dining ----just a some dessert to end our evening at the races. Service was attentive , and we opted to share the chocolate molten lava cake with ice cream ---sweet and delicious. The only negative I had was that the carpets were amazingly dirty ---they really need to use a little sweeper in between seating when there are messy kiddos or maybe even adults! Lol. read more

For lunch, the simple soup and salad was fine but could only order them as sides. Server was super nice, food came out quick. I went by Applebee's today to pick up our favorite salad, the Oriental chicken salad. We got the deal 2for $25 plus an appetizer. Great deal as the salad was delicious and well made. Service was great. I try to go there every time I'm in Watsonville. In almost every place I go, and they have an Applebees, I try this salad. I think the Watsonville location has the best one. Got a table for one and once I placed my order I got up to use the restroom and when I returned from the restroom I was hoping to at least see my appetizer waiting for me but instead I saw another family sitting in the table I was initially sat in. They said they assumed I had left the restaurant and they had cancelled my order... I ordered chips and queso and the shrimp & parm sirloin... steak was VERY chewy.. I must've upset the family that was in my initial table once I returned from the restroom I ate and finished my meal and I DEFINITELY apologized to the family that was sat in the table I had originally been assigned. Additionally my change was off by a few cents and realistically I'd never complain about such a small amount of change however since they messed up the seating I insisted that they give me the correct change... Worst Applebees experience ever. The waiter seemed high and out of it. He brought our drinks and one of the drinks had 4 ice cubes in it...there was a hair on our chips and salsa. We waited about 15 minutes for our bill to come but ended up having to get up and ask another waiter to get it for us because our waiter was nowhere to be found. The vibe was mediocre, not horrible but definitely not great. They were very polite, even though I tried to get the half priced appetizers on a to go order. They fixed me up with some wonderful boneless chicken wings. We ate that night and then the following morning also. I really enjoyed the garlic Parmesan flavor a lot and also got the bbq flavor too. My first time dining at this Applebee's Grill + Bar. We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. She guided us to the bar area at our request because we had a truck with items in the bed and wanted to keep an eye on it. She showed us a great table with a view of our truck! Next we were warmly welcomed by our server Rosamaria. She was so friendly and gave us a few options of her favorites. We ended up having the 2 for $22 lunch specials. We ordered the Spinach dip with chips as our starter. That was a tasty appetizer. For our mains, we both had the Whiskey Bacon Burger. What an awesome tasting burger. As our sides we opted for Onion Rings instead of French Fries. Those Onion Rings had a wonderful coating, not greasy and moist onions inside. When I read other reviews about this location I thought well I'll give them a chance and try it out. I wanted a place that was nearby the hotel so we didn't have to drive so far and Watsonville doesn't really have many restaurants to choose from. When we checked in at the front the host told us it would be less than 20 minutes. There were 3 people ahead of us and the restaurant didn't seem too busy. We decided by the time we waited that we would just order for takeout. The app said our food would be ready in less than 20 minutes. We asked to sit in the bar area so we could have a drink while we wait for the food so another hostess told us it was ok and would check on our food and bring it to us when it's ready. We sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes with no acknowledgment from any servers. By the time the server came over to ask if we've been helped I didn't want to order anything because my food would be done in 5 minutes. Per the app, my food was completed by 20 minutes but when inquired about it, they said they are still finishing up one more dish for us. So we ended up waiting another 20 minutes for our food. When we were handed our food we double checked to make sure it was correct and sure enough they got our order wrong. When we told the guy that packaged our food, he gave us an attitude with a smart remark. When they finally got our order correctly he handed us the food without any apology for messing up our order or as to how long we waited (45 minutes in total). My experience was bad. I definitely would not recommend this place because of the poor customer service and frankly the food was not good either. If I could give them no stars I would. read more

I arrived and asked for a menu. That took like 15 minutes for the menu to arrive, I placed an order for a drink while reviewing the menu. My husband was brought a salad, no utensils and still had not received the utensils when I arrived. The menu arrived and not one person checked on us for about 20 minutes, still no drink. They came back with the menu and finally the utensils for my husbands salad but none for the rest of us and no napkins. I had hoped they had improved. This is not my first terrible experience. We had only been at the bar for 1 hour and a few minutes, and we were enjoying a quiet night, and we were already cut off on our drinks. We weren't even buzzed nor drunk, and we didn't even get to finish our meals. Other individuals had been there longer, but they enjoyed their night. However, Mrs. Stephanie and her BOSS are good at selecting individuals. And when asked why, no one seemed to have a reason, more as she said, he said crap. I actually had to flag down the hostess to get help. She was the worst server i have ever experienced. It took 20-30 minutes between asking for reorders. The service ruined the entire dining experience. The French fries came to the table cold and soggy. I asked for fresh out of the fryer, never received them.
