I used to come here at least twice a month for a period of time, haven't been back in almost 3 years. Well, only reason I ate here is because my uncle invited everyone for breakfast to celebrate my aunts birthday. It's a small hole in the wall diner located next to an auto row, it's got small table seating and outside with big windows with natural light. Horrible meal this morning. We usually try to give red apple the benefit of the doubt, but the food was terrible. My husband ordered steak and eggs, steak was way over cooked, potatoes were dry. Upon picking up, the person who helped must've bee in training and she forgot some extras that I asked for (utensils, sauce, etc.). It was also very empty in there. One of the places we stop for breakfast. Always have good and friendly service. We have never been there when it was very busy. It is a casual place and easy to have a conversation while there as not a loud place. Ordered the potato dish with ham, mushrooms and green onions topped with cheese and scrambled eggs. The potatoes are good sized pieces and the mushrooms are also good sized and plentiful the ham and green onions are smaller and get a little lost because of the other two ingredients. It does taste good and definitely plenty of the food. We have had the bacon in the past and it is good with a smoked flavor to it. Will be back again. read more

This has been my favorite place for breakfast since I was a kid. This was an amazing place to go to back then but lately I've been disappointed. Country potatoes were my favorite w/ amazing taste. Last few times I've gone, they've tasted the same (bland, no flavor, undercooked). Service used to be so great w/ the waitresses checking up on you so often (even on crazy busy days). Now we have to get up to try to get their attention (even on super slow days). This place used to be so packed w/ sometimes over an hour wait to be seated & now this place is always dead (on days I've gone). This is one of my favorite places in town for breakfast I've been coming here for many years, I understand with coke and many businesses had to close they lost money so the prices are going up although the food quality is going down a long with service before we would be greeted very friendly and then when sat down we had the server aproach us with hello how are you it's always nice to feel welcomed at any restaurant, the last couple Of visits we've came here and when walking in we get a stare down feeling like why are you here, then after being sat we had to wait awhile before anyone came to our table when the servers finally approached very abruptly saying are you ready .... Once seated, a waitress took my drink order, another came by to take my order, and yet another stopped by just to ask if I was doing alright. I give this restaurant one star only for the following reasons. 1. Pancakes were minnie size, wich made them hard to cut and somewhat chewy . 2. The eggs lacked flavor. 3. Coffee cups were very small, we had to continually ask for refills. 4. Service not the greatest. We had to call on our server every time we needed something.
