Fantastic service, great food, and generous portions. I ordered the steak salad and my wife ordered the BLT wrap, both were delicious. The fries are really good, love skin on fries and my wife generously shared the extra crispy ones. They give you a LOT of steak on the steak salad, which was really nice. Literally would give zero stars. The server was beyond incompetent. It seems like she never has been in a restaurant let alone given people basic things, including silverware and water. We ordered after a long wait, in the most uncomfortable way. She couldn't enter basic things in to her computer. The iced tea had clearly been sitting and had over-brewed or was stale. We then waited for bowls of clam chowder, claimed to be award winning. When it was brought to us over thirty minutes later it was luke-warm and had a formed a layer. She then let us know the pesto pasta we had ordered 30 minutes earlier couldn't be made since they didn't have any pesto. She offered our vegetarian daughters brisket Mac and cheese over and over. When we settled for Mac and cheese without meat, 15 minutes later we were brought stale noodles with cheddar melted over it. Clearly microwaved. Only two of the clam chowders ever came. My wife ordered pancakes which were flat, had no substance to them, and had crunchy corners. We both felt the Eggs and Bacon were cooked very well. We also felt since we went around 5:00 PM we missed the golden brunch hour, but if you can't keep your the quality up past brunch just close after service. Service was good. No complaints there! Ambiance was an issue for me because you have to walk through a commercial office space to get in and it smells like antiseptic and sick. We browsed the menu and based on past reviews we went with the clam chowder and hamburgers. The meat was so bland. Yes the portions were good and the fries are hand cut but the hamburgers had no flavor what's so ever. We fried the mushroom Swiss burger and the bbq burger. Nothing extraordinary. I had to repeat my order twice. When she brought me my food all at once I had to sit my sandwich aside because I wanted to eat the soup first before it got cold. I actually had to sit everything aside as I waited for her to bring me not one but two sets of silverware/napkins. I had to remind her it was only me sitting at the table and she agreed? I ate my lunch all by myself in this nice, big restaurant. Overall, the food was really good. I just wish the service had been better. I never was asked during my meal how it was or offered a to go box. I had to go up to the counter to ask for that and my check as my waitress was sitting with another employee talking about how exhausted she was. As I left, I told the gentleman who had seated me that the food was delicious, but he needs better staff and that I worry that they won't be around by end of year. The place has a great name but lots to be desired. The country potatoes looked kind of dark as if they were soaked in oil ,no flavor, the muffin supposedly had butter but it was not. It was Terrible the eggs were over done and nothing was very desirable. The other plate was a hamburger melt on rye bread. The bread was soaked with oil and not toasty. I went to Rustic table bistro on Brennan St. last week. This was my first time going to this restaurant. I ordered a Turkey sandwich and strawberry shake to go. The restaurant was not that busy (maybe three tables with customers. It took them over 20 minutes to make the sandwich, the woman who took my order told me they were waiting for the fries to cook. Finally got my sandwich and left. Once I got home and opened up the container it was very disappointing! The fries were cold and stale, obviously they were not freshly made. My sandwich was not put together, lettuce, tomato and condiments were on the side. I left up one slice of the bread to put condiments and discovered they had used the butt (end of the loaf) which really pissed me off. I paid $22. for this horrible sandwich, it was so bad I only took a few bites and threw it away. I left town the next day (returned last night), if it wasn't that I had to prepare for my trip I would have gone back to the restaurant and returned the sandwich and fries. The second my father and I walked in I felt the calm ambience. We were greeted at the front by a very nice man. The menu was perfect; enough I options but not enough to overwhelm you. The food was great; I ordered the triple decker grilled cheese (which was made immaculately) the fries were seasoned almost perfectly with just a bit less salt than I expected. The garlic bread was done of the best I've ever had and the pesto pasta my father ordered was great. Not only but every seat offers a great before of the snowy mountains and trees.
