I recently purchased a new front entry door from Lowe's and they contracted Cadco to do my installation. Marcus Franks arrived at my house promptly this past Friday morning. His work was meticulous. He started by taping & covering all appropriate areas of my entry to keep them clean and protected. He carefully removed my old door and all the existing door framing/trim-work. He then did an excellent job installing the new door & hardware. Assuring that the door fit was perfect and moved smoothly. And all the hardware worked perfectly. Then carefully fitted & installed new trim-work. He also spent considerable time fitting & caulking to insure a weather-proof fit. I had to leave before Marcus was completely finished on the outside. Did I have a choice in choosing? No. This is Lowe's third party they use to install doors/security doors. Lowe's states this company is pricey, and they are. However, I wanted a metal security screen door from Lowe's and this company is who they use. Installer was professional. He did the job in terms of getting our security screen door installed, however he didn't check to see how the security closed to our front door. It didn't. The handles to both my security door and front door butted up to one another. I had emailed the company and also called and left a voicemail. No reply back from the email but I did get a call back a few days later. Another installer came by and stated he could flip my security door handle and lock but it wasn't what I wanted and even if I said 'okay' to his suggestion, it couldn't even be possible, as I have a keyless pad thats rectangular and it wouldn't work out fitting-wise doing the swap. So in turn this installer said he would offer me a different color security bolts (gold) or shiny black. Well, our security screen door is white. Neither the shiny black or gold would go with the color scheme we have, so if I wanted white (which we did) it would have to get special ordered, which meant more waiting period. Given I was able to lock the security door, I just had the front door closed but not closed closed, and waited for the bolts to come in. After waiting a week+, I reached back out to the company and finally got a response back. Bolts came in and the same installer would be coming back out to readjust the fitment of the security door so that it can be locked as well as my front door being able to lock. All in all, I love my security door we ordered from Lowe's. The security screen door installed by Cadco Doors & Windows is the third party Lowe's uses which they did warn us that Cadco is pricey. Overall, the process wasn't too painful (wait time). Jist one star removed due to them being pricey for a third party and also due to the incorrect fitment first time installing. read more

Marcus and his assistant did a great job installing our double doors, via our purchase through Lowes. There was one glitch in the process where Lowe's didn't order our door hardware--so Marcus couldn't install what he didn't have. Marcos was able to put a different lock-set on our door until Lowe's orders our door locks. Once those are in, I am hopefully Marcus can come back and install the door hardware. Good job! read more

Do not use this company, they know nothing about custom security doors, they measured mine incorrectly and there is huge gap all they way around, it looks so tacky. I asked the mrg to come and look and not even a call. I am trying to get them to come get it off and return it to Lowe's and can't even get a reply! Totally disgusted with them and Lowes! I paid 2900 for a custom security door not a shelf door. This is not a security door, you can stick a crowbar bar in and take it off!!!! read more

Scot and his team were professional, prompt, and did a fantastic job on our door install. Their pricing was great, and there were no hidden surprises. The opening for our French Door that was removed was a little smaller than your standard slider. They were able to widen the opening without any major trouble and get a standard size slider in there. We purchased a security door from Lowe's. Marcus with Cadco came out and measured the door. After waiting several weeks for the gate to be made the day it came in, Marcus called us to have the door installed the next morning! The measures Marcus took were critical because if they were wrong the door would not fit. Lowes no longer works with the door company so we would not be able to get a replacement. Marcus did a great job measuring, the door fit perfect. Marcus was professional, friendly, and very quick to come out and measure and install the door. He did a great job! read more

I met the guys at CADCO via Lowes Installation Services. Scott Manifold is the owner and is a certified Lowes contractor. I originally contacted Lowes about replacing the windows of my home. I worked out the type of window and ordered it from Lowes. The window took about a few weeks to arrive and Scott arrived with his crew to do the installation work. He was nothing but courteous and professional and pays attention to the details. The job was done quickly and without fuss, and any messes there were, were cleaned up. You'd never know his company was on-site save for our new WINDOWS! : ) So if you need windows (or doors for that matter), pick your best deal and ask for Scott to do the installation. read more

Scott is one of best contractors that I've worked with. He responds quickly, is courteous, takes the time to explain things, great communication, and is very honest. I wanted to replace all 11 windows, but talked me out of replacing 3, because he inspected them and felt they were still good. That's one example of his honesty...he actually talked himself out of work. Also replaced my front door, and wanted to paint it myself, he took the time to drop off the door, so I could paint it prior to the install date. I previously replaced 2 living room windows and had a feeling they were installed incorrectly, the frames had been removed. Scott immediately noticed and explained that these needed the frames rebuilt for a proper seal. Scott wasn't pleased with how one of his crew placed a piece of trim, so he had him redo it. Scott and his crew were very pleasant and punctual. His prices are very reasonable. When I decide to replace my other three windows, I will definitely call him. Scot is great. He's replaced an exterior bathroom door and you couldn't even tell he was there. His craftsmanship is excellent. We then had him replace our 3 upstairs windows...again an awesome job. My home in Alamo was built in the 1870s so there aren't very many openings with a square corner after all of these many years of earth movement and settlement. I first used Scott Manifold from CADCO about 10 years ago to install 14 Anderson double hung windows in our old sleeping porch on the rear of the house. It was a real task because nothing was level. Scott had to remove 14 old windows that were in terrible condition, rebuild the window opening where necessary and then install14 new Anderson double hung windows and finish it off by putting in all the new window molding so it matched the crown molding in the room. Laser levels, lots of work and lots of patience working thru all the problems made Scott stand out as a craftsman. Scott's work has passed the test of time -- the room still looks great after 10 years. No problems with the windows or the installation. Next it was, Hey Scott, can you fix my old dining room double glass doors? They had to be completely remounted but Scott saved the old doors and they still work great. . Next it was Hey Scott, can you put oak thresholds on my old entry doors? Done! And most recently in 2010, Scott installed 17 new Pella windows all over our old house. Scott does real good work. Scott works hard to help the customer and do it right. Every time I called, I got a friendly voice on the other end of the phone. Our front double doors had become next to impossible to open due to house settling and improper installation when new. The doors are heavy and expensive. It took considerable time to find someone who was professional and knew the doors. Upon receiving the call, Scott came out that day and did a quick remedy. We were so impressed with his understanding of the doors and the problem we immediately booked him for the permanent repair. He and his assistant were timely, neat and above all professional. I was looking for a good/honest door repair company in the Concord/Clayton area. After reading the reviews on Yelp I gave Scott a call. He returned my call promptly and made an appointed to come out to my house and give me a bid. I was prepared to purchase new doors because the old double doors were so badly out of alignment but Scott said that he could fix them for a fraction of the price. I made an appointment to have the work done. He showed up on time and got the job done quickly and efficiently without a big mess. When it came time to pay the bill he charged me a $100 less because he said that the "job was easier then he had originally anticipated". Before you spend big $$$ on doors at a Big Box Store or local lumber yard/door company you might give Scott a call. It just might save you a lot of money, time and frustration in the long run. My next job for Scott is to fix a big, beautiful pre-hung fiberglass door system I purchased from Lowe's. This will be the third time I have hired someone to square up the door.
