I was charged $135 to have them come out for 10 minutes to tell me what I already knew (it will need to be replaced). Then it's a "flat rate" of $950 on top of that for 1 hour's worth of work to replace the heater. They were unable to tell me the model of the heater before it was installed so I could compare prices. And forget about tankless installs. No one there knows how to do that (a direct quote from the plumbers who came out). For anyone who needs to replace a hot water heater ASAP, go to Home Depot or Lowe's first and buy it yourself. They go for $400-$500 and take about an hour to swap, probably less. So let's see...$500 for a heater plus 1 hour worth of labor at their price ($135 per hour) adds up to around $635. I would have been very happy to pay this amount as it is reasonable. Paying almost $1100 to have it swapped is totally absurd. Voicing my concern with several employees there was met with the typical apathetic response "well, that's just what it is". The owner claimed this charge was reasonable. Sure it's easy to gouge customers all day & claim it's reasonable when you're the one raking it in. Finally after the heater was installed, I had asked what happens to the old heater. I was told I could just leave it at the curb and it'll get picked up. So after the plumber packed up & left, I was stuck with my old heater sitting in my driveway. There was no offer to even help me get it to my curb. He was very busy that day and apparently couldn't be bothered to assist. Talk about kicking someone while they're down...thanks guys! Real professional and courteous! I learned a very valuable lesson from this experience, and I'll make sure my friends and neighbors know who not to call moving forward.

I contacted them but they kept giving me the run around. I had to file a police report. The police advised me to send a certified letter. I did but the address they had online was a home in Fresno. They finally came back and charged me an additional $1800. They supposedly put a pump under my house to pump excess water from underneath. The pump has never worked. I started having problems again with my foundation. I contacted them and they asked me to send pictures. I told her that pictures could not reveal the problem and they needed to come see it. I haven't heard from them since. I currently have a new contractor working on my foundation. They showed me what Star Foundation did versus what needed to be done properly. They did not use treated wood and a lot of the bricked they used were old small broken up pieces. Needless so I'm paying them $16200 to redo Star Foundation's work and do the job properly. Please avoid this company or you will definitely regret doing business with them. The work they did for me is still under warranty but they will not honor it. CROOKS!!!

I had him talk to my husband about what needed to be fixed. My husband told him to go ahead and fix it. He was charging $150 per hour + materials. He came to fix part of the issue but not entirely what was discussed. It took him less than an hour to fix part of the job (cutting off the corroded pipe with easy access and replacing it) and charged us full hour for it + material + charged me extra $10 to send him the payment via cash app. His girlfriend said that it cost her $10 to pull money out but we all know it's a lie because CashApp only charges 1.5% fee if you want an instant deposit. He said that the reason why he didn't fix the whole thing was because he was waiting to meet us at the property. But why? When all of that was discussed already over the phone yesterday. The property is a full rehab and we need more plumbing service done. Needless to say, they lost our business for this property and many others. I do not recommend this company/person.
