Got a beef killer burrito, damn straight it was killer, I'm about to have chorro for the next year. Never thought a burrito could taste like soggy cereal and nonsense at the same time. Went to take a bite and it all fell out like kaka from a diaper. The beef tasted like a black hole, nothing. The Guacamole was a disgrace to the name. Instead of "Cabo's" it should be "Cannot" bc they cannot cook to save a life. I'd rather go eat one of the many dead fish I saw near the water. I guess when there isn't much to choose from you take what you can get. The decor was ok if a bit run down, the staff seemed like they couldn't care less if we were there, and the food was meh. My wife enjoyed the tacos and that's the only reason I gave two stars. I had the grilled chicken nachos and they were the worst nachos I've ever had. Every time I go to this restaurant I am always very happy. The service is excellent, the food is excellent, restaurant always clean, owner and staff very friendly and eager to please. Every thing I have tried here has been very favorable and seasoned perfectly to my taste. Last night I had 1 pork taco (crispy) and 2 cheese ench. Perfect! Love their salsa bar, which has a wide selection of choices for mild, med and hot. Have not tried the salad bar, but always looks fresh. They serve beer, of course, with several brands offered. Excellent Mexican food - some of the best I have had in years. And the best restaurant by far in Clearlake we have eaten at. I had the Camerones Rancheros. Excellent! Big shrimp, perfectly cooked with a side of homemade beans, great guacamole and onions and peppers. The others had Chili Verde (equally yummy) and Chicken Fajitas. The salsas were so good - I liked the mild and green salsa the best. Chips were good and plentiful. The meal came with a salad - okay, the salad bar could have been a bit fresher but it was insignificant to the entire meal. We will be back!!! read more

Carnitas burrito has big chunks of pork, I was expecting it to be shredded. They did not have black beans and substituted pintos. They DO NOT know how to wrap a burrito... it came in a styro container I would expect of an enchilada plate. The burrito could not be picked up, I had to eat it with a fork and knife. They only have red and green salsa, the red was quite good but the tomatillo salsa was awful. As some people have mentioned there is a distinct lack of seasoning, everything is pretty bland and my burrito is mostly rice and beans. Very skimpy on the sour cream, guacamole, cheese, onions and tomatoes... but not on the giant chunks of pork I have to cut with a fork and knife. Oh well, I needed the fork and knife anyways seeing as my burrito was wrapped like a giant soft taco. Pretty Mediocre. Next time I want Mexican food on a Sunday, I will make it myself. read more

Most family friendly place I have ever been! My son has a dairy allergy and the cooks worked with him to make him a special plate. The portions are very generous and well priced our server also gave us suggestions to make what we wanted more affordable. Hands down the best service I have ever received, our waiter performed some magic tricks to help entertain the kids and our drinks were never empty. The absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to. And I have been to some terrible ones. Our order was a bean and cheese burrito with rice and sour cream, two steak tacos with avocado and cheese, and a couple pork burritos. They forgot to add sour cream to the burrito. And they told us that even though they have guacamole, they do not have avocado. The entire contents of the pork burrito fell out after one bite and looked more like a soup or a stew than something that belonged in a burrito. Not to mention the salsa bar tasted like something you would find at the bottom of a wet, rotten garbage bag. I would never spend money on this establishment again. I'll also mention that the wait staff was extremely rude and sarcastic even coming over while we only had our drinks and asking if everything was okay with a snarky smile. read more

Delicious cheesy beans & rice, generous portions, good prices, very friendly and accommodating wait staff, nice atmosphere - what's not to love?? We've been here a number of times and are fans. Food isn't gourmet or "fusion" or anything fancier than it claims to be, but then again, the check (even with a couple of margaritas) won't set you back, and it's an overall enjoyable experience to come here. Lots of vegetarian-friendly options - vegan might take a little more effort but they really do aim to please the customer. Huevos rancheros isn't on the menu (it's not open for breakfast) but they've made it up for us a couple of times on request. This place has been around for years and for good reason. They have great prices, a great location, and super friendly staff. One of the highlights here is the green sauce. Its made fresh in house and tastes amazing. To the point where we literally order just a giant cup of it for 3 bucks to keep at home. The place is nice sized so you can sit and eat comfortably. Situated in a shopping mall so there is alot to do close by. The portions are great and the staff here is so friendly, the family that owns it is local and are really nice people. My gaborite thing here is they're burritos but they have killer enchiladas. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is for the restaraunt itself. While they keep it clean, its very outdated. Looks the exact same as it did 12 years ago. Some fresh paint and new decor could do wonders. I really do enjoy this place though. Can't beat the service and I will for aure be back!! read more

No apology for the wrong order or extra wait time. No refill on drinks , no is everything ok, do you need anything. Got tired of waiting for the check, went to counter to pay, waitress just starred at me shoved the bill to me on counter never saying a word, I paid no tip,no how was everything, no thank you, she never said a word to me, I heard her say thank you to the customer who paid next after me. I was not rude to her, did not get mad, she just ignored us. The worst service ive had in some time. The food was acceptable, the so called refried beans were just boiled beans, chicken taco was bland, the only good thing was the cheese quesadea, it was good. DO NOT EAT HERE! I give this place one star because it won't let me give no stars. These people who gave good reviews are either employees or have seriously damaged pallets. No amount of pomegranate margarita couldn't help this food. We stumbled onto this restaurant while passing through the Clear Lake area. The place was shabby and dirty. The bathroom was filthy and ill equipped. The owner was playing American music recorded in Spanish and loudly blurting out parts of every song. It was painfully loud and annoying. We couldn't hear each other talk. Although it was early lunch time many items listed on the menu were unavailable. We waited 25 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived (Mine was chili relleno with beans and rice.) it smelled rank; and it looked like vomit out of a can. There was some kind of gelatinous sauce on parts of it that was disgusting! I reluctantly took a bite and regretted it immediately. It was inedible. My husband got a quesadilla which also was disgusting and inedible. How do you screw up a quesadilla and beans and rice??? It was several hours before my stomach settled enough to eat again. It should be illegal to serve this slop. read more
