Sales and Finance are liars. Told me I was purchasing an exterior protection package that was supposed to be for fading due to weather damage. When I went to use it 2 years later, I was told I did not pay for that package, I paid for nitrogen in my tires, I had no idea what they were takin about! Why in the h*ll would I spend $1000 for air in tires that were replaced within the 1st year of owning the car! They pulled up my contract and it was on there in a language that I had no idea what it meant. They told me I was getting one thing and sold me something else! Next, I bout the maintenance service package, for 2 years the service dept did my oil changes and inspections, never found anything wrong but minor issues. I had told them about a noise that I heard occasionally but they dismissed it. My intuition told me to take my car to another dealership for maintenance, this dealership found axle issues, bearings problems and several other issues! The warranty inspector came out and confirmed the repairs needed. Thank God my extended warranty was still in effect otherwise I would have been out of $3,000! This dealership ripped me off and took advantage of me as a senior and woman! I'll NEVER recommend this dealership at any location! Beware! read more

My husband takes his truck to get inspected at Independence location the tech walks all the way around truck with my husband , no problem, he puts my husband in waiting room then comes back in and says we have a problem your taillight is broke! Really! was not there when they walked around truck, pretty pathetic! Then wanted $500 to fix! guess what we are fixing ourselves for$50!!!! read more

NOT GO HERE. Especially if you are a woman. Every department is a liar. I can break down my experience. In 2022/23 I bought a car. A 2020 trax. The salesman lied and told me it would be 20k with my down payment. All the paperwork is drawn up. I don't find out until the end of the process that it's actually $28k. I tell them I want my monthly payment to be $350. They hem and haw about it but eventually agree. I finally sign everything. A full 24hrs go by. Finance calls me and say it actually didn't go through and the bank declined it. I have everything signed and paid for. Taxes paid for later that day. They said they can get me something for $400 a month. I say no and I'd come and return it. After another DAY they called and said they can do $360. FINE. They throw in 5 years free matienence for the trouble. 3 years go by. I find out it's actually 3 years maintenance and I don't know that until service tells me. Lies. Speaking of the service department, just last year I take it in to get the tires looked at. There's nails. I can see them. After getting the car back, the adviser says there are no nails??? They just did an oil change. I take it to a small garage THAT DAY and there ARE nails. Literally four of them. This place is the worst and I will never go back. There's other places in Independence to go to. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

UPDATE!!!!! Great news! The manager at Cable Dahmer Chevrolet; Alex reached out to me almost 2 weeks ago & wanted to make everything right. We discussed my concern & I dropped my vehicle off. I picked my vehicle today & was very satisfied. Alex followed through with his promises & he installed a front license plate bracket without asking. I'm so happy now. Thank you so very much Alex!!!! read more

I have purchased several cars from this dealership, and it has been entirely because of one person--Fred Rizi, the finance manager. He has always gone above and beyond to help me secure a great deal and ensure a smooth, hassle-free experience. As long as he's there, I'll likely continue buying cars from them. However, the service department is a different story. It desperately needs proper training, as every visit seems to bring a new issue. My 2021 Corvette needed a simple software update for the radio. Four hours later, they had messed it up so badly that they had to order a replacement. My wife's Chevy Tahoe was in for an oil change, and while we were waiting, they mistakenly gave our vehicle to another customer who was picking up a Tahoe for transfer to another dealership. It took two extra hours to get our car back. Most recently, I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a recall fix on my 2024 Corvette C8. They assured me they had the necessary parts and that the repair would take only two hours. Five hours later, I returned to find my car still on the lift, and they admitted they had the wrong part. I left without the recall being completed. These incidents are not isolated--I've had similar issues in the past. At this point, I'm seriously considering taking my vehicles elsewhere for service. read more

If I could give less than a 1 star I would - don't buy a car from here - they do all the tricks in the books, they don't care about your needs as long as they can make a quick $ - on top of awful experience, their admin office failed to complete and file proper paperwork. Stay away from them - I am still waiting for a response from their GM and it's been over a month since I purchased a car from them Waste if $ and time at cable dahmer Chevrolet independence read more

Had a car ready to buy internet price was xx,xxx next thing you know they raised the price 2k and asked for proof that it was lower. i did and have it as a screen shot im not stupid. They eventually admitted to it but were going to work with management to get it lowered. then they stick me with 500 dealer fee. i have never paid over 250 and a 900 3M seat protection. I said nope. I had the best credit they had ever seen , I was an easy sale. sellsperson was great and felt sorry for him because it was out of his control. this was the first time ever attempting to buy from this dealer. read more

Was disappointed in sales staff. I was sold a vehicle in an hour or less. They took my trade in let me drive off lot. They gave me wrong VIN. I was given wrong car fax and VIN. Shame on them. Sold me a 2013 Chrysler 300C.4 days after receiving the car to drive, the alternator light came on in the dash. This car was supposedly under warranty but they said the alternator light came on because it was an oil sending unit ..that is was leaking oil and whatever else they said was wrong with it NOT COVERED BY WARRUNTY.MY mother paid 3555.00 dollars to have it repaired in which she did...Well now it's on again and my guess is your going to tell us that it's something else wrong that isn't covered by warranty...the fukin transmission feels like it's sticking or shifting late.U SOLD US A BUNK CAR AND I WANT TO BUY THE F CAR BACK. I did NOT end up purchasing a vehicle from Cable Dahmer Chevrolet, let me get that out of the way up front... but I wish I HAD because I have nothing but praise for them! The ONLY reason I purchased a vehicle from someone else was because Cable Dahmer didn't have the EXACT car I was looking for... but they came so close. For starters, I was looking for a Black 2012 - 2015 Chevrolet Sonic RS 6-Speed Manual Turbo with under 100K Miles for around $6,000... and what they had to offer was a Dark Gray 2013 Chevrolet Sonic LT 6-Speed Manual Turbo with under 100K Miles for around $6,000... so close right? Everyone from the sales staff, to the customer service rep, to the finance officer were so kind, responsible and willing to work with me. They were all very patient and understanding as they bent over backwards to meet all of my requests during this Covid-19 Crisis. They were not pushy at all and they all communicated well via phone calls, texts, emails, pictures and videos despite the fact that they're based in Kansas City, MO and I'm in Dallas, TX. I was on the verge of making the 7- hour road trip up there to purchase the car they had to offer and had even placed a $500 deposit down to make it happen. But the weekend before my planned trip is when I found the car I ended up with being sold by an individual seller. In the end, Cable Dahmer was very understanding and I had no issues with keeping my $500 deposit back. I would HIGHLY recommend working with them for your car purchase needs. They are VERY professional and you'll be glad you did! read more

Horrible Business. I got contacted thru the internet to come see a car I was looking to buy. The internet guy Aaron told me come on up so I drove up 35 mins and then they tell me the car sold yesterday when I get there. Horrible experience. read more

I scheduled a test drive for a vehicle in the morning, took off work early to go drive it and received a call that the vehicle sold yesterday. Apparently they use a 3rd party company to schedule test drives that has no idea if the vehicle is in inventory or not. I am glad they called me but frustrated that I took time off of work to go test drive a vehicle that was not there, essentially costing me money. Later I learned that they likely would not have honored the price I saw online without a trade in. All in all a very mis-leading experience. read more

I hit a curb and bent my rim and it created a leak in my tire. I firstly took my car to discount tire and they quoted me 180 and they said that they couldn't get the part in until Friday this following week and even if they did call it in and they weren't going to have one that would match my hubcap pattern so I would have to get all new hubcaps. So I just had them throw in my spare and I took mine to Cable Dahmer. I called and requested a quote and they said it would be 180. But they have a rim in stock, and they could get me in as soon as I could get it there. they did very well on my car at chevrolet. I waited for like 1.5 hrs got it on there aired up all my tires cleared the light on my dash put all my spare stuff away in the trunk underneath where it supposed to go and Entered up being $30 cheaper than he planned they ended up washing my car. James Sandoval helped me with everything and he was very nice and knowledgeable. read more

Worst, slimey, dishonest excuse for a car dealership I have ever been to. If I could leave a negative star rating I would without reservation. You will feel so dirty after you leave (and I suggest never stepping foot in there) that you will have to go home and shower. They hire inept jerks with no business acumen or tact as sales people - they are scraping the bottom of the barrel - and 5 minutes after you arrive (please dont go) you will see that a professional car sales person would NEVER work there. Within 5 minutes of arriving to look at a used car....wait for it...I was told to SHUT UP. Who says that to any person much less a customer looking to purchase a car. I was appalled. I would not ever use this place - it is simply a dumpster fire with horrible customer service and the worst sales team I have ever seen in any industry. The families of the original owners must be so embarrassed to have their names associated with this trainwreck. read more

If I could leave a 0 rating I would. Bought a car from here in October of 2023. Driving home and everyone after, it had a driver assist error. When I took it in for the oil change to because I paid for the warranty and all the extras, I was told the sensor had impact damage and isn't covered. I haven't been in an accident or hit anything and now I can't get anyone to answer my questions or assist because our sales person no longer works there. This has been a cluster with horrible communication and service. No accountability. Do not buy from this location or Cablue Dahmer in general. Customer Service and communication are horrible with no accountability. read more

Sad to say that this dealership is dishonest and unprofessional. Their sales staff made a "VIP appointment" for me last Tuesday for today at 2pm to check out a car. To be fair, he warned me that these sell pretty quickly, which is understandable in this market. I called in at 11:15am today to see that the car was still there, and they stated it was and confirmed my appointment. After driving an hour to get there, the sales staff informed me that they had sold the car before 10am that day - well before I called to confirm it was on the lot! I don't understand why they think it's ok to lie through their teeth over the phone to me about something they already sold and waste my time. Shame on them. Unfortunately this is one shady dealership I know never to see in the future. read more

If i could give 0 stars, I would. I'm writing this review due to my boyfriend's ongoing horrible experience with this company. He bought a 2020 Chevy Colorado from this God-awful place in 2019. From the beginning there's been extremely disrespectful and poor service. When anyone answers the phone they have a rude tone, they don't try and solve problems and they have an attitude like you don't matter even though you're the customer. They promise loaner vehicles, since people have to work and have a way to get to work while their vehicle is being serviced, and then show up to your house, late, and without a loaner wanting to take your vehicle. Tried calling, got sent to voicemail! You can't even get ahold of anyone past the piss poor attitude girls that sit at the desk and have zero authority. Just awful experience. Please buy your Chevy somewhere else. Please. read more

Had a great experience with Leon Hernandez while finding a new car for our growing family!

I bought a used car from this dealership and it leaked out all the engine coolant within 12 hours of buying the car the the very next day. This left me stranded without a car and after a few calls havent been able to get much assistance from the dealership to make this right. Be careful what papers you sign. I am wondering why i went to this dealership and realize i have made a big mistake shopping there. read more

This is the third Cable Dahmer facility I have taken my car to. Each time I have been treated great and got good service and they did not try and sell me any parts or service that I didn't need. Beware of Cable Dahmer's business practices. My husband and I purchased a car there 2 weeks ago. We had purchased another car from them just over a year ago and that car was dangerous. It was continually in the repair shop. We went back when the first car broke down completely and needed a reliable vehicle. Foolish for us to go back a 2nd time. Cable Dahmer does not have pricing listed on their cars. The sales person gives you an approximate cost in the beginning. We were promised additional trade in rebates that never were applied to the net price and they refuse to correct the situation. Also, be aware that they will automatically charge you $890 for a 3M stain guard even if you don't approve it. We were taken advantage of and their management refuses to help in anyway to rectify the situation. read more

Purchased a vehicle on line as is, which I understand as is. Got it transported to me in another state and it was leaking oil. Brought it to garage to get checked and was told it was overfilled and not to drive it because it could really cause damage to engine. Called import car service center and he suggested that it gets towed in to be checked because overfilled oil could cause damage. He was the second person to tell me that, so I had it towed in. Cable Dahmer did the oil change in their center, so I feel that they should be responsible for repairs. Thankfully it did not damage other engine parts, it was the mechanic did not put the plug in correctly and used a bad washer. Sent emails to salesman explaining what was happening, no response. I talked to the service manager and explained everything and he said to send the invoices and he would take care of them. After several weeks of not hearing from them I started calling and was getting no response to messages. The only ones that I would talk to were the receptionist. I even sent an email to the owner, surprise no response. I understand as is, but you should take responsibility for your work. Mike M read more

Cable Dahmer has a problem. They don't train their phone people to NOT schedule an appointment when they don't have the part. TWICE now I have scheduled with this company and when I arrived, they DON'T have the part. What is the malfunction??? Do they even appreciate how hard it is to plan to have someone follow you to drop off your car? What about time away from work? Do they even care about the inconvenience they cause? I don't get that impression from their Service Managers...a bunch of guys who act like they know what their doing but don't, that they give a crap. The truth is, they don't. That's the phone person's problem who is making the appointment...not theirs. I am looking to buy a new or almost new car because my Pontiac Vibe is on its last leg...tell me....why would I chose this company to purchase from when they can't handle a simple maintenance appointment? read more

I purchased my new car from here two years ago and it's been very smooth since. I opted for the service included package that covers all general maintenance costs which keeps me coming here for service. Consistently good service wait times could be better but you can only do so much. When you buy a new car the dealer will sell / give away some of your information to third parties. These third parties will call you every year to try to convince you to sell your call. A opt out would be nice. read more

Service is horrible and slow. Multiple people waiting 2+ hours for an oil change. We all had appointments. People with appointments after me got out before me. Run dot walk away from this dealer!! Stopped in today and was looking for a truck. Sales guy ask what I was looking for. I was very specific with my question " Do you have a 2015 or 16 3/4 ton 4 door with a sun roof and a tow package. He ask me to come in. then proceeds to ask all about me. I declined stating I ask a reasonable question and would like an answer. He went away for 10 min then came back and ask me more questions about how much I want to spend. To this I sad apparently I am not your type of customer. If you sell trucks and cant answer a specific question with out an inquisition, its a problem. I will buy a truck in the next 30 days and it wont be this dealer or anyone associated with them. You really should re-evaluate your sales practice. read more

I think it is completely ludicrous that I have had my vehicle for THREE MONTHS and my rotors on my vehicle already need to be replaced. Rotors should NOT need to be replaced that quickly. I will also be submitting a complaint to the better business bureau. I cannot believe how shady your dealership is. read more

I had a terrible experience with this store. While my salesman was solid and did his job to the best of his ability, anyone else I dealt with (manager, finance, etc) did not seem like they had any intentions of wanting to help me. They put me in a car that broke down a month after I bought it. When it broke down, they told me they couldn't fix it and that I would have to get something different. But since this was considered my trade in, it had no value so it increased my payments drastically. They basically forced me to get a different car which almost doubled the price of my payments. The only thing they did to help me was allow me to drive a rental while I found a new car. If you do get a car from them , DO NOT GO TO SARA IN FINANCE! Ask for Marie. Marie helped me with the first car and she was nice and helpful. Sara was yelling through the glass and having a conversation with one of her coworkers while helping me with paperwork. She then asked Siri to call her son , put it on speaker, and had a complete side conversation about a school project while doing my paperwork. And the icing on the cake, was this entire situation forced me to pay sales tax on 2 cars. And both times , they gave me the wrong number of how much I was suppose to pay. Management also tried to blame part of the reason the car broke down on me by saying I put 20,000 miles on the car. Which is IMPOSSIBLE because I had the car for a month. From my experience solely, I would not recommend this place for a used car. I know people who got much better experience from other places . read more

Horrible experience. Went in for a car. Found one, I was told I was approved. Drove a nearly brand new car off the lot. 3 days later I received a call from the sketchy salesman telling me I have to return the car because I was not actually approved. So this guy, Mike Hooper(Mr 25 years at the dealership and talks about random personal issues)lied straight to my face. Now I'm needing to return the car and have no way of getting back home because my husband and mother in law took the day off that day to go with me to get a car AND IM PREGNANT. Instead of lying, I would have appreciated the truth. Is it really that difficult to tell someone that they weren't approved or what? Or would it have been hard to tell me to wait a few days for an actual answer regarding being approved or not?? It would have caused me less pain and trouble. BE HONEST!!! Oh and I would love to know who's paying my Uber so I'm able to SAFELY get back home. It's not fair that I ask my family to take another day off, seeing as how I was lied to. So If anyone wants to be manipulated and lied to, I suggest going to this dealership! read more

i bought a 1920 buick encore from cable dahmer of independence. i would like to say that the dealership did not let me see the car fax until after i purchased the vehicle. it had two previous owners and had been wrecked. sideswiped. also the business office put my financing with community america when i wanted umb bank. the bank was 2 and 1/2 points lower. cu was at 8 1/2. i still do not have the title and i purchased the vehicle on the 13th of august and today is the 28th of august. when it comes to crooks, beware of cable-dahmer. before i can put the car with umb i must have a new title. i was advised that i would have it the 4th. allegedly to be overnighted. the lady who waited on me came right out and lied to me when she said cu was lower in interest rates than umb. i deal with the vice-president of the bank and she advised me that they do not deal at all with cable-dahme. i want my money back, or a replacement vehicle. if i do not hear from them by the 4th. i plan on suing them. i want this vehicle replaced. if you want to get screwed, go to cable-dahmer. shirley shores read more

Went to look at buying a car. Salesman seemed nice at first. Then went in to talk numbers. He left to go answer a page at least 3-4 times. Turns out he was doing multiple sales at once. Before the sale was even official through financing the car I drove in on that I was thinking about trading in was already thrown in the back 40 and they misplaced my keys that had my house and work desk keys on it. If I could give 0 stars I would. Long story short my husband and I were trading in our 2010 Nissan Murano for a Duramax truck. We were under the impression the transaction was finished (Brain told us he would have us out in 20min after we were already there for 3 hours), of course they already made sure to take our $2,000 deposit ASAP and we had everything moved from my car to the new truck we were supposed to be getting, and bought insurance for the truck. Brian the salesman who was helping us then took the truck with all our stuff, including my purse, to fill up the tank and get a car wash for us (this sounds like the transaction is over right? Apparently not.) While we are waiting for him to come back, apparently something happened and now all of the sudden the transaction couldn't be completed. They had already moved our plates to the new truck so we couldn't even leave in our Murano to get lunch while they "figured out the paperwork". They had us switch everything back to our car as soon as Brian returned and that was that. Our extremely horrible experience. So if you want to waste a bunch of time and get screwed over definitely stop by. But as for us and all our Pipeliner family that buy trucks frequently- none of us will ever be back. read more
