After visiting their shop and viewing the slabs and getting estimates with very reasonable and competitive prices, we decided to use them. Everyone at their shop was friendly and knowledgeable and worked with us to get the right materials for the look we wanted and to stay within our budget. They did our bathroom countertops, a laundry room sink top, and also the kitchen cabinet and island countertops. They did such a fantastic job on all countertops, we also hired them to install the tile around our fireplace and kitchen backsplash. I will post another review soon for tile work along with the images of the kitchen countertops when the work is finished. We really liked that the owner worked with us on ideas that gave our kitchen island some contrast to the other kitchen countertops. He also made sure that the supports underneath the slab of the kitchen island was adequate. So on top of great prices, know-how, and excellent work done in a timely manner, we also got some style/design advice. We couldn't be happier with everything they've done. Stellar company, and we hope to work with them again in the future.

Demo- if you are removing old counters & backsplash, be prepared for some slight repairs & touch-ups on cabinets and / or trim. Also, they do not remove your existing faucet, garbage disposal, oven vent etc. Nothing plumbing or electrical. If you add tile on a wall where there previously was none, expect to need longer machine screws to put the outlets back. If they don't notch out the tile for the plate covers they will not be as flush. We found both of these things out the next day while trying to put the outlets back in & covers on. If using your existing sink, the sink clips may not fit with new counter. We had to remove sink & caulk under. I hope this gives some insight for others as we had no clue of the process going in.

Like most major renovations, there were a few hiccups along the way and Rob handled them superbly. In addition, Rob stuck to his estimate even though he probably could've justified including some additional charges due to a couple of unforeseen issues. In the end, the kitchen turned out beautifully and we are very grateful to Rob and the team at New Leaf for their help in giving us a dream kitchen that has significantly improved the livability of our house.

I initially had chosen for the shower a slate tile. I appreciated that Noemi's crew explained the positive and negative of using a slate tile in the shower. Through their feedback, I wisely chose porcelain tile for both shower walls and have been very pleased with the outcome! They also added frosted windows for both showers to allow more natural light. New vanities, sinks, toilets, and Congoleum flooring was added for both bathrooms. I am very pleased with how the plumbing, tiling, flooring, and drywalling were completed. Also, everything was done to code and passed inspection with the City of Tacoma. Great level of professionalism and timeliness. I was kept up to date with what we would expect along the timeline of events. Second project was converting the attached garage of our home into a family room. They knocked this project out of the park!! The former garage floor was leveled prior to the bamboo wood flooring being installed. The walls had insulation added to code, new drywall, electrical, heating ventilation, two windows, texturing to the ceiling and walls, and insulating the exterior walls which had not been insulated when the slab was poured for the former garage. I am extremely happy with how this project was completed as well as what we have for the price and added value of square footage to our home. We wouldn't change a thing with how this project came together! Also, everything passed inspection with the City of Tacoma. A true garage to finished square footage conversion, done right! Finally, I had a small roofing project completed off of our roof deck. I had received a bid from a large roofing company in Tacoma and CJK Legacy came in with their bid considerably less and I was not upsold on unnecessary work. Daniel who completed the project also identified some dry rot and replaced the appropriate framing. I am very pleased with how this was completed and the shingles that were used match the shingles of my home on the upper roof.
