We visited cabin oasis this past weekend, the cabin was PERFECT! It accommodated 10 adults and 3 kids perfectly. The place was spotless and huge! The views from the decks where amazing! Great for a family barbque! This place is situated on a quite street and walking distance to hiking trails. It was relaxing and fun! The scenic 10min drive to the village was amazing! Jerry was awesome! Sent a welcome package a couple of days before our arrival with directions and maps to local spots. The game room was also a big hit for us! Did I mention the place was perfect!? We look forward for a summer & winter visits! This was a family trip that left very good memories for us, thanks Jerry! We look forward to renting again!

Great weekend with family and friends.

I'm an Airbnb connoisseur and know my way well around vacation rentals. Having stayed in many…read morehomes, staying here was literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air. PRC is a cluster of themed cabins on beautiful grounds. There's a man-made creek that runs through the property that I'm guessing runs even during the summer months. The tranquil sound of water fills the area, as does the sweet sound of frogs at night. The grounds are beautiful and make for a lovely evening walk or morning cup of coffee by the koi pond. I will definitely be back to sample the different cabins. Oh, absolutely top notch customer service too from the second we stepped into the main lobby to check in.

Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins is a family owned establishment and has been for decades. Each of the…read morecabins here are stand-alone cabins on 6 acres of forest. They also have a really nice event / wedding venue on the property. We stayed in the Little House on the Pond cabin which shared a small man-made pond with 3 other cabins. (Side note: Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins isn't in Lake Arrowhead proper but about a 20 minute drive east on the 189 in the small township of Twin Peaks - which is a nice mountain town but it's a bit of a drive away from Lake Arrowhead) These cabins are really cute. They are rustic yet comfortable - the sofa & chairs are comfy but I wish the sofa was deeper. There are 2 full size beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms and the beds are super comfy! The one we slept in had a down mattress pad which really upped the comfort. There was also a nice comforter. On the downside, I am tall and I barely fit lengthwise. My feet were on the bottom rail and my head was up against the headboard. Ample parking: our cabin had its own small driveway to park in. The party lights on the deck were really nice for sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs at night. It was also really nice to build a fire in the fireplace on a crisp night. We had a lantern with a dead battery and the maintenance guy came very fast to replace it. There are lots of dishes and cookware to make snacks & meals and they have lots of things you can check out from the office like smore sticks, french presses, orange juicer, veggie steamer, charcoal BBQ, chop sticks and much, much more. On the downside: One of the big reasons we got this cabin was to have a fireplace...and they charge you $10 for a bundle of wood, which is annoying considering how much we paid to stay here (including an $80 resort fee - that doesn't include a bundle of firewood!!?) Tip: We picked up a fire bundle at Grocery Outlet for $6 that was significantly bigger than the one they had sitting by our fireplace for sale. The other big reason we got this particular cabin (Little House on the Pond) was for the big claw tub and it was very disappointing! First of all, you want a claw tub so you can relax & soak in a deep tub, and this tub is not deep enough to stay submerged. When I filled it up and got in, the water drained out the overflow drain until the water that remained in the tub left me half out of the water. You really want to soak in these things and you better do it quick here! (Note: We mentioned this when we checked out and he said they would look into getting a water level extender to put over the drain or something) Also, their hot water heater isn't big enough to last till this tub is full enough to get in. It ran cold after a while and I had to stop filling and let the hot water build back up and do that a few times to have a reasonably warm full bath. The stairs in this cabin are a neck breaker (very steep), almost like a ladder. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This could potentially be dangerous going to the bathroom in the middle of the night (or for anyone who has a challenge walking). They should at least put in some nightlights on the stairs so you can see them when it is dark. On the admin side, you have to wash all your dishes and take out your own garbage or be charged a $60 fee. I have never (even at lower priced hotels) been told to wash my own dishes and take out my garbage. I kinda get it if you have a big family with 8 or 10 people - I'm sure they've had lots of people leave it a total mess, but for 2 of us it was a bit annoying to pay what we did and have to clean up everything. I mean part of being on vacation is to have people wait on you and not have to worry about these things - especially for what I paid to stay here. Another thing, when we checked in we asked for pool towels and she got us a few but told us in the future we needed to bring our own pool towels...Then what are we paying such a high resort fee for!!? After all is said and done I am giving Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins 4 stars. Again, this place is cute, nice and very comfortable but with all the dings mentioned above, I can't give it 5 stars.

We enjoyed our time at the Bavarian Zen Den, although we probably wouldn't stay in that property…read moreagain. We did however really like the management company and would definitely consider other properties they list. The positives: We arrived to a sparklingly clean house, which is always appreciated! Everything seemed new and/or well cared for and it was decorated very tastefully and modern. There was a bottle of wine on the table for us with a welcome card which was a really nice touch! The house was very cute- the best part about it is the lovely living room and open modern kitchen with plenty of pots pans and dishes. The living room had a comfy leather couch, a fireplace which we didn't use but looked pretty and a wonderful flat screen tv with on demand movies. We also enjoyed the deck, although it's quite small (perfect for 2 but not really more than that) and had no view to speak of - but it had a great grill that we put to good use. We also loved having a code as opposed to a key to lock/unlock the door. So much easier! And I loved how organized Judy and Grant were in terms of sending emails with info, letting us know what would be there vs. what we should bring, etc. The negatives: The sleeping area was unfortunately a disappointment. We really loved the way it looked, so cozy and romantic, but...the mattress was terribly uncomfortable (a futon I think, seemed old/lumpy perhaps?). We both tossed and turned, didn't get good sleep and felt sore the next morning. The sheets were very scratchy as well, like burlap! To complicate matters, there was no air conditioning in the entire house so the sleeping area felt somewhat stuffy. They had brought us some fans when we first arrived which was nice, but they were noisy and bulky. Also, the on-demand didn't work for the tv in the sleeping area which was disappointing for us as well. Other stuff: There was a downstairs with bunk beds that we felt was kind of wasted space. If you had kids it would work, but still kind of strange because there was one set of double bunk beds and one set of singles, so if you had another couple with you, they'd have to sleep down there with the kids in the same room. If it was just kids it would be fine. At any rate, for us that space went unused. We did enjoy the little Bocce court in the back and appreciated the laundry room with laundry detergent available for use. Location: We had never been up to this area so had no idea where we wanted to be before we booked. As it turned out, we were in Twin Peaks, a short distance from Lake Arrowhead, but a drive if you wanted to go anywhere- not in walking distance to anything. Not a big deal, but we kept imagining what a treacherous drive it would be in the winter! Also, there was no place to really walk our dog or let him off leash, except to walk around the neighborhood on the roads, which were quiet and lovely, but I think we had imagined more access directly to nature where we could go hiking or just let the dog off-leash. It would have been great if the backyard had been fenced in perhaps. In general about the area: We learned that Lake Arrowhead is a private lake, so there is really no access to it unless you're staying right on the lake and the place you're staying has access. Luckily, we had two nights booked at the lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa directly after staying at the Bavarian Zen Den so we were able to enjoy it. Otherwise we would have been bummed!

My family and I were really looking forward to this vacation and were very disappointed. For starters the home was not clean. The floors were so dingy that our socks were black after about an hour. Also all the furniture was very old. Some pieces from the sixties or older and not in a cute nostalgic way, but bought at garage sale way. It was gross and smelled and we had to put blankets over the couch and chairs just so we felt comfortable sitting on them. The couch on the front porch had gross black stains. The dishes that they provide were covered in something sticky as though they had not been cleaned. The beds were old and the sheets felt like sand paper. Nobody slept well. I would not recommend this company to anyone, unless you want to waste your money and be uncomfortable. After driving around the area, there were much nicer places to stay and that is what we will do next time.

Not much rental activity except in the winter, damage to the property that went unreported by housekeeping, and just the general vibe that our small cabin was a very low priority for them. Finally, we made the decision to change management this summer after we completed a remodel. I found Leanne in a Big Bear FB group online along with several other PMs who responded to a post I made about looking for new management. Leanne was the only one who provided helpful, tangible information when she reached out to me. We spoke and then I decided she and SkyHigh cabins would be our new managers. The onboarding process was smooth and detailed. They are extremely professional and walked me through the different stages of getting ready to "go live" on the various platforms they use. It took about 6 weeks to get everything completely switched over. But when we did go live in mid-October 2025, all I can say is WOW!! We've had 12 reservations made in just over a week's time! We didn't have 12 reservations in the last year total with the old company, so this has been very, very exciting for us. Aside from all of that, Leanne, Jennifer and their team are very communicative and helpful. If you are looking for new management, I cannot recommend them enough. Just do what they tell you to do, use their vendors, and follow their lead.
