Both of our stays were short and we opted for the only suite at this Inn and loved it - top floor, fireplace, full kitchen, big patio, two tvs, etc. The bed is SOOOOO comfortable, one of the best I've ever slept in. Love that there is easy parking in the back, and best of all, its location - right across Lake Gregory and walking distance to the market and downtown. The first time we were there, there was a power outage on our last night. The owner offered us a discount if we called directly next time we were interested, so we took him up on it earlier this week. It was such a nice time again, great weather. We had a great time. Giving it 5 stars because no one should be expecting perfection in an older building either, but yes the outlets are loose, and yes if you get the suite you should bring your own tools, utensils, and spices. But they do give you cookies, staff is nice and it's incredibly convenient. Looking forward to returning :)

There were a number of small holes in the walls where art or shelves once upon a time. It wasn't spotlessly clean either; dust and some sort of gritty film covered the bathtub surround. It was advertised as a non-smoking room, but the smell of stale tobacco permeated the walls. The bed was okay...the sheets were clean, but the mattress was a bit spongy for my taste. There is a two-story much more modern motel building on the property, and it might be better; but I'll never know. I won't chance it again.

Not much rental activity except in the winter, damage to the property that went unreported by housekeeping, and just the general vibe that our small cabin was a very low priority for them. Finally, we made the decision to change management this summer after we completed a remodel. I found Leanne in a Big Bear FB group online along with several other PMs who responded to a post I made about looking for new management. Leanne was the only one who provided helpful, tangible information when she reached out to me. We spoke and then I decided she and SkyHigh cabins would be our new managers. The onboarding process was smooth and detailed. They are extremely professional and walked me through the different stages of getting ready to "go live" on the various platforms they use. It took about 6 weeks to get everything completely switched over. But when we did go live in mid-October 2025, all I can say is WOW!! We've had 12 reservations made in just over a week's time! We didn't have 12 reservations in the last year total with the old company, so this has been very, very exciting for us. Aside from all of that, Leanne, Jennifer and their team are very communicative and helpful. If you are looking for new management, I cannot recommend them enough. Just do what they tell you to do, use their vendors, and follow their lead. They have figured out the algorithms and rental platforms to such a degree that your property will actually start to pay for itself. We were on the verge of selling our cabin, but now, we will be able to hold on to it. Call them today!!

There is electricity available inside and the bathrooms have 2 stalls and a shower. There is also a large cabinet to store small items. I was also concerned about the food because of prior reviews (burned hamburgers and cold cuts). It was 100% not true! Both mornings we had hot eggs and potatoes. One morning included sausage. There was a nice assortment of yogurt, fresh fruit and oatmeal with lots of extra toppings, along with nice pastries. Lunches were also quite nice and included hot entrees, salad and goodies. Dinners were hot meats, baked potatoes with lots of toppings to choose and cooked vegetables. I was more than satisfied with the amount and quality of the food. Even though our party arrived a little late on the first night, there was parking available near our cabin. Lots of varied activities were also available for all ages and abilities.
