I came to this location of Cabela's yesterday in search of a cheesy fishing t-shirt for my husband's birthday. Should have been a simple task but alas it was not. This location is smaller than the one located just off the Henday southside so the selection is probably a bit smaller. I was one of a couple customers in the store and must have passed a DOZEN employees over a forty-five minute period of scouring the store looking for a freaking fish shirt in a size large and ONLY one employee offered me any help. Even the two greeters when you first walk in did not say anything to me as they were engaged in a conversation of their own. I literally looked in every nook and cranny of the store to find a size large fish shirt and while there were dozens of awesome shirts in S, M, XL, XXL, and bigger - there was not a single L to be had. Now, perhaps there was one in backstock or maybe it's the most popular size but I wouldn't know since no one offered to help. The one department that did offer me assistance was the shoe department and I did score an awesome pair of waterproof Kamik slip on boots (think Bogs or Mucks) but with a floral print to cheer up rainy days. I settled on getting a giftcard for my husband to come back and pick out his own cheesy fishing shirt - and they did have a wide array of graphic options on the gift cards themselves including 2 fishing one so that still worked for the overall theme. I also picked up a Cabela's fish keychain/bottle opener to go with the gift card but thought $6 for a piece a small piece of metal was kinda steep. They did have intriguing BBQ lighters shaped like guns and fishing rods but didn't think it warranted a $15 pricetag. Favourites for my family always include the camping section with goodies like cast-iron pans and pots and grills in every size and style you could imagine and I really do swear by their shoes. I regularly buy the Muck boots ( toddler and and 6 year old fabout $80 and adult $140ish). Waterproof, warm, and lightweight - best winter boots on the market for the value! And as an added bonus, the insoles do come out easily to fit custom orthotics! So overall, yesterday's visit was a disappointment in both stock and customer service, but I won't give up on you just yet Cabela's... But, I must say that your original Edmonton location has provided better service and stock thus far in my hunting expeditions.

A wide selection of outdoor gear. Window Shopped online before coming here. Found a wax to apply on my shoes and clothing which I was looking for. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is sufficiently large. Atmosphere is wildlife like which is cool! Indoor and Outdoor gear for camping or hunting occasions such as camouflage seating, clothes, and cooking utensils. Their customer service has a licensing registration & support. Hunting gear if that's your hobby, but I'm sure you need a license in order to purchase weapons. What else can I say... Oh and the best part is they have a Fudge Shop which is amazingly awesome! Do take a minute to stop by and buy a fudge bar, it could be a life changer for your taste buds. I know it has for me! Recommended for browsing if you like outdoor camping gear and etc.

Good service, found want I needed with little help. First aid kit for car and browsed the store for future purchases.

The place sells…read morecamping gear, clothes, and equipment like sportschek but has more outdoor equipment than sports gear. The atmosphere to me has this cabin color vibes which feels nice. I was surprised they sell the car attachment tent structures because I've been looking at these online. It's good to see them in person to see if it's actually the fit you'd like to use. Lots of staff nearby to help which is great. Parking here is very small for a large shop. However, I'm not sure many people are aware of this store. This would definitely be a store I'd come to if I couldn't find gear and equipment near my retail stores. Recommended for anyone looking to get camping, hiking, or outdoor gear.

Prices are high, like all other outdoor stores in Edmonton (seriously, what is with that?) but the service cannot be beat. Don't get me wrong. I also like M.E.C. & Cabela's but the attention to detail and customer assistance at Campers Billage cannot be beat! Whether you're looking for some base layer clothing or the perfect cast iron pan/griddle, you will find it here! I really like their children's section for winter wear & mitts (though my heart belongs to Cabela's for their waterproof Muck boots). This is also my family's go to store for great quality waterproof sandals. The hubs & I just picked up a pair each of Keen'a covered toe sandals for our trips this summer. Dave (in shoes) couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. If you've ever show shopped at Nordstrom's in the states, Dave is that quality of a salesperson. See you soon Camper's Village (well, as soon as my wallet lets me).

I ordered a Parka, as a gift, from MEC's online Black Friday sale on November 29, 2024. Having…read morebeen in the Edmonton south common store a few days before, and observing many in stock, the deal was too good not to order. As I placed my order, it indicated that the downtown store was "Next Day Pick Up". Given that I wanted to pick up as soon as possible, I selected the downtown store, even though the location is terribly inconvenient for me. Approximately 24 hours later, I called the downtown store, whom after about 25 mins on the phone with various people, told me they had no record of the purchase. Of course, I couldn't go pick up the jacket, the next day, at a location that was inconvenient, because MEC hadn't even processed the Order as of yet. Great. I called the customer service line and spoke to a male who told me "this sale has caught us completely off guard and we're overwhelmed". No kidding?? The male told me that there had been staff cutbacks this year, due to how slow it had been, but suddenly the sale has regenerated sales that have overwhelmed the existing employees Ok ... the spokesperson then told me that my jacket was in Winnipeg and had to be shipped to Edmonton! What is going on here, MEC?? You hold a Black Friday sale and you're overwhelmed??? Then my next day pick up, at this inconvenient location, is in Winnipeg??? The kicker is December 16, 2024, I received an email from MEC telling me that my order has been cancelled. My goodness. I've been a supporter of MEC for over 25 years, and have never seen such awful customer service or a absolute lack of responsibility in fulfilling an order - for that matter, I don't think I've ever had a more disappointing exchange with any store, ever, than this experience. I will never again shop at MEC. Shame on you, MEC. Not the MEC I once knew

A corner stone in the community, I think the manager said they have now been there for 35 years!!! The commitment of a business owner to stay after soooooooo many break ins in the community is really quite remarkable. I don't feel it's fair to give a bad review to a business because of a bad neighbourhood they are in. Because of that neighbourhood and all of the thefts, the staff is very diligent when it comes to paying attention to the customers of the store. If you're not a thief it shouldn't bother you... but rather feel good that you get customer service and attention vs so many other stores that you can't find anyone who works there. If you're looking for the best deals and selection when it comes to anything soccer, this is the place to go! In all of Canada, this is the 3rd top producing store... so that says something :) The only thing is parking... because of the restaurants in the strip mall, it's always been competitive but at the end of the day, it is what it is and worth the drive. Their manager is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to everything soccer and can help you out!

I'm not a hockey fan at all, so I had never been in this store before. A friendly worker (maybe owner) greeted me, when I walked in. This place was full of sports merchandise--mostly hockey, but there was some football and a bit of soccer stuff too. I really like the t-shirts of old school football teams. They were made so they looked "vintage." Lots of jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, and a whole lot of caps lined the walls. There were a few large displays of Oilers merchandise, like yo-yos, keychains, mugs, pucks, clocks, toy cars--pretty much anything you can think of. Cheap, and not a real cost cutter, and the signed Oiler's gear got sent to the Oiler's store in Kingsway. Which is a joke and we won't go back due to the horrible lack of service, or even acknowledgement that there are actual shopping customers in that store (4 of us). This place, though, was great!
