Our server was knowledgeable and attentive... then came our first disappointment: no squash blossoms available, and our server warned us that there were other things not available, including some wines, because they were about to switch to a new menu... hmm, ok. So for first course we had the lamb skewers and the evening's special of toasted bread with red peppers and white anchovies. Both selections were fine, but not remarkable. The lamb was very tender though. For the second course we both ordered pasta, one with white rabbit ragú, the other with red lamb ragú. The house-made pasta was good, but the sauces unremarkable. In mine the rabbit was ground up, and really didn't flavor the sauce at all; it was overly creamy, and even extra ground pepper didn't help the flavor. This was really disappointing. Disappointing too was the "average priced " (up to $80) red wine selection -- wines also not available because of the change of menu. We didn't have desert, thought the menu lööked tempting . Good espresso. I was really disappointed, but will try again once the new menu is set, because the atmosphere and the service were really fine. I'm hoping tonight was a fluke.

I thought I was going to play it safe with waffle, fake syrup or sugar free options no thanks, so butter only and that would have been good except the waffle had half the holes empty, and was stone cold. Plate was warm, butter just sat there. So I put jelly on it and ate it. The server asked about our meal and I told her it was ok. Then the owner came over and asked and wanted to take the waffle off the charge. Nope I said I ate it so I'm paying.
