Anthony was the lead and he explained the entire process to me. He patiently answered all of my questions and even gave me unsolicited information I would've never known. Anthony and his crew prepped my floor and applied E2U epoxy and then added flakes. At the end, they applied E2U Polyaspartic 85 Ultra, which is essentially a top tier clear coat that prevents yellowing and resistant to many things. After this application was completed, my floors were extremely glossy. This is the first step to having a nice and clean garage to complete my man cave. Anthony, Mark & CJ were done by 1:15 PM. I bought a new build home in the Spring 2020 and immediately wanted to epoxy my virgin garage floors before I moved in. Ended up choosing CA Resurfacing based on their Yelp reviews. The floor has held up well over the last two years and I use my garage to work on my cars, so you can say medium use. Not many complaints about the quality other than it's 75-80% perfect. I only wish the clear coat was more consistent across the garage. In some spots you get a big gloop of clear in a corner while others are just a film thin enough to expose the texture of the flake. I also wish they were a bit more careful about overspray, as they got some of the stuff on the drywall. I suspect it was the rush to get it installed (more on this later). No yellowing at all over two years, only very recently did the clear, flake, and base coat start to come off in certain places. I didn't get a perfectly done garage floor and for the price I wasn't expecting it. They do stand by their work. When the epoxy started to come off, I reached out to them and they stopped by the next day to fix the problem. Same happened with some of the low spots in the clear coat. Their customer service and support responsiveness is really high up there in my opinion. However, in all the interactions I've had with them, I think this is where improvement can be had. They appear really unorganized. When we first did the installation, they came several hours late and it was clear the team was trying to get the job done quickly. Two years later when they came over to fix the peeling, they had no record of my address in their system and scheduling suddenly went from "Let me see when I can get someone out there" to one of their team members coming up to my home without notice. out of the blue the next day. CA Resurfacing installed a new floor in my two car garage. We had some old carpeting that was glued insanely well to the concrete garage floor. When the owner saw how well the carpet was stuck down, instead of asking me for an additional fee to remove it, he just called in extra guys to help remove it. These guys are hard workers, pulled up the carpet removed the glue, base coat, chips and top coat all in one day. We shopped around and CA Resurfacing had the best price and the quickest install time. They also use Polyurethane which won't yellow the way other epoxy floors do. John came out and looked at my garage and gave me an estimate. It was higher than normal as the front of the garage floor had been exposed to the elements and required repair. I had spoken with two other companies and decided to hire John. Andre and Juan, two really nice guys, came out a few days later and got started. I needed some help with some heavy boxes and they moved them for me. They worked quickly and the floor looks great! I chose desert sand and I love it. It has a nice sheen without being gaudy. the floor isn't slippery so that's a bonus. The front area needing repair was not quite what I had hoped for. It was ground down and patched but looks it. On July 16th I sent out a Yelp request to multiple epoxy companies requesting the service for my Garage floors. CA Resurfacing was just one of 7 different companies that replied to my request but instantly I could tell that John knew exactly what he was talking about and almost made everyone else in the business look foolish. The reply I got had ALL the information I needed regarding the materials used (not epoxy), amount of materials, why he's the best, and I instantly reached back out to him and got on a call. He walked me through the whole process had me send him pictures of the garage and my water softener and then told me the price (which was on par with all the other companies). He told me the difference of his materials vs everyone else and also was honest in the fact that some of the other companies I mentioned to him use the same as him. He made it make sense and almost had this straight forward no nonsense sales process of "Hey this is what I do and why I'm the best". Legitimate contractors and companies looking to get your floors epoxied, beware!! True to many of the comments, the work is nice and the price is right. The problem is that when something goes wrong, you don't get calls or responses...John ghosts you. I had a simple request. I am a general contractor on high end jobs that requires insurance for all my subs. When I paid for the job and asked for his insurance, he said he would send the certificate over. Going on a month now, multiple calls and texts, not a single word. If he was legit and had proper insurance, this is a one page document that GCs use at the end of the year during an insurance audit to prove subs are insured. It takes 30 seconds to send and doesn't cost John a dollar. Without it, I pay extra on my insurance to cover them as an "uninsured contractor" which is awesome..so it costs me money. This leads me to believe that the company might not be properly insured. Tough lesson for me to learn...dont ever pay without the proper documentation in hand. Hopefully his customer service on the back end for service or repair issues is better than I have experienced, but I would never recommend this company or use them on one of my jobs again. Update: Here is his response. Nice. Simple Request and he goes through the roof. Again, seems like something others have experienced. Not the way that you treat people. read more
