I recently decided to get into golf because suddenly when you reach 30 everyone you know starts golfing. I got the clubs and started hacking away. Well after about two range sessions my back was killing me and I wasn't hitting the ball very far so it was time for lessons. Joel is simply the best. I'm now a regular student of his and go almost every Saturday to work on all aspects of my game. Joel always knows exactly what I need to work on and finds ways to make things "click". Looking at some videos from my first range session to where I'm at only 4 short weeks later is astounding. I even recently got fitted for a driver and was complimented on my swing. Would give 0 stars if that were an option. I normally order my shafts from reputable online distributors, but decided to support a local business this time. I called Shaftopia and spoke with someone who said he was the "distributor." I asked what length the shaft would play at once installed in my mini driver. He kept talking over me and saying, "You mean DRIVER?" I told him no, mini driver. Their website doesn't have a mini driver option like other shaft distributors do, so I selected fairway wood instead of driver because the Titleist GTS300 Mini Driver uses a fairway wood adapter. I asked again what length the shaft would play at, and his response was, "Do you have Google?" Couldn't believe how rude and unhelpful he was over a pretty simple question. I had a golf lesson with Joel. I left with a more free swing and learned how to have better contact and rhythm. The facility is nice. I love this place! I'm a beginner and had my first ever lesson with Joel here - it was an extremely amazing experience! The facility was clean, spacious, and cool while Joel was patient, knowledgeable, and really made me feel comfortable. He taught me more in that lesson than I could have surmised on my own, I can't wait to go back for another lesson. I also came for a driver fitting recently and Alvaro was simply great to work with. He took the time to explain the process we were going through to evaluate my current driver and went through options, suggestions, advice, etc on what might work better, then proved it on the simulator to confirm. Dicks sporting good seemed to keep damaging all my shafts, and i normally would go to golf galaxy but that was so expensive and at times the turn around time was too long, roger Dunn's was too far away and Olympic golf lacked people who spoke fluent English. But recently I found out golf galaxy actually closed down in my area, so I went to a place called Golfio and they referred me here to CA golf center. So I walked in and not only were they super friendly but there is a full pro shop and a true fitting area inside the building. I recently went to CA Golf Center to just look at the facilities. I came back to have Alvaro review my golf swing to determine how and where correction was needed. I enjoyed the entire experience. I had a driver fitting with Alvaro on a Monday at 10:30. My first impression when I first walked in was WOW. The place was pretty cool. It's very open, clean and well organized. The hitting bays are tall and wide unlike other places I've been too. To be honest i was kind of nervous because I don't like being "watched/evaluated" cause I know my swing is so flawed but Alvaro made my time very fun and informative. He never made me feel rushed and always gave me feedback on my swing and what all the numbers meant. We went though all the brands of drivers and shafts and finally narrowed down to the new Titleist TS and the New Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero. I chose the latter. My fitting turned into a private lesson. Alvaro analyzed my swing and helped me drastically reduce my spin rate, launch angle and angle of attack. I still need a lot of work but I've been seeing the difference on the range. Even my daughter's golf coach noticed on the range today and his exact words were, "I can see your ball cutting through the wind cause your low spin rate and launch angle". (We were hitting straight into the wind). This was very satisfying to hear! I would highly recommend getting fitted with Alvaro before you go grab a driver off the rack. They are very reasonable as far as price goes (compared to other places I've been) and their facility is top notch. CA Golf Center is a must when getting fitted! read more

What a great experience I had today with Alvaro and CA Golf Center. I emailed them to see if they could get me in today for a shaft adapter install and to cut my shaft to length, and they emailed me back immediately. Even though they are temp. closed due to doing the remodel/move in, Alvaro said to come on down and I can take care of that for you. So I came in and he asked if I wanted to just have him do it while I wait so that I wouldn't have to come back tomorrow to pick it up. I was like, YES! Alvaro was so professional, and his attention to detail was superb. I am very picky about who I will let work on my clubs, and I am very picky about the little details etc.. Alvaro went above and beyond for me, and now I have a new club builder! Great place with a couple golf simulators, with a full lobby, and professional golf building area... It was about time that I got with a golf instructor to fine tune my swing and grip. For a couple years I have been really wanting to improve my golf game and just in 2 sessions with Joel, tweaking my swing, grip, and stance, I have been playing much better than before.
