I bought my first gun here and have been avidly visiting c2. Me, my wife and my brother in law visited c2 on a busy day. The three of us were all put into one lane and were being charged $60/hour just for the use of one lane. We had an instructor that was seemingly doing a private lesson on our adjacent lane. The place is already crowded, as you can see from the picture, he wasn't shy about staying in his own lane. He had plenty of space in his own lane, but was being stubborn about staying on the 4 o clock of his shooting client. Soon after the photo, he actually gave me the "big brother shoulder rub" from the behind and told me that he doesn't want to bump shoulders, all while he is halfway in our lane. We had an awesome experience at C2 Tactical when visiting Tempe, Arizona. We got the rifleman and tactical suppressor packages. We used the Scar17 and USP in our package and it was great! We doubled our automatic's ammo and that was a great decision- it is so fun shooting it that the time just flies right by! And the suppressor is a great experience- it is so quiet which helps you focus a bit better when shooting. Doug and Westin were helping us out on the range and they were great- they had very helpful comments that improved our shooting techniques and they were very friendly, positive, and humorous the whole time. Made a lane reservation and went back to Tempe C2 Tactical after a COVID-induced break. I was excited to introduce a new shooter to this 'nicer' facility. I had to fill out waivers again, though I've been many times, and all the extra static and confusion at the checkout counter cut into our lane time. Everything felt super rushed and chaotic. On top of this, the girl who checked us out didn't mention that I needed to come back to the counter after my range time and I didn't realize that they kept my ID, even though I paid in advance. So... I left the range without it. It's definitely partially my fault I didn't realize she didn't give me the ID back, in the rush of everything but now, I'm in another state for the next month or so and they won't mail the ID to me. I called on Tuesday and asked about it but the girl that was supposed to call me back with more details never did. So, I called again today, only to be told they will only send it to the Tempe address on my license, even though I offered to send them proof of identity and proof of temporary address. Now I'm waiting for another call back from someone who will get my payment for their mailing efforts. Hope they actually call back this time. They also said a friend could come and pick it up and mail it to me but unfortunately, my sister is a disabled vet and I don't want to ask her to do the hour drive to C2 - it would be too much for her (but may have to). How is having a 'friend' come in to pick up my ID better than me sending them proof of identity? And who on earth, other than me, would be calling a random range to ask about an ID that nobody knows I left but me. This really makes no sense. So... I'm stuck in another location, driving daily, with no ID until I get back to AZ. Swell. The combination of the chaos, lack of information, time wasted with new processes, and lack of customer service leads me to realize I won't be back to this range. The extra expense incurred there is only worth it if the customer service matches. I'm sure they won't miss my patronage, though. People are going crazy for firearms nowadays and it definitely shows here at C2 Tactical. I think I'll stick with my tried and true range options. This could have all been avoided if the girl would have simply mentioned I needed to come back to the counter after the range to pick up my ID. PS - their current range ammo prices are $46 for a box of 9mm - $40 plus a $6 tax. Won't see ya there. read more

Nice selection, but they sell .223 55 grain (range ammo) 17.95 per 20/box. Thats 89 cents a round.... for bottom of the barrel ammo. Before tax. I found the same ammo online for 31 cents a round with shipping and tax cost still making it cheaper. And I found matchking 77 grain 556 for 75 cents a round. 5 stars for Pistol 100 instructor Mark Watson (filling in for another instructor) and assistant instructor Brandon. Mark was super funny, kept the class interesting and fun...perfect for this role. As a beginner I had lots of questions and both were very helpful and patient with me. Thanks Mark and Brandon, you two are fantastic! Minus 2 stars for the jerk, so-called "Instructor Director", Jeff. Solely due to Jeff's 'Power Trip' demeanor I will not return to this location. If he works at all locations, I will not go to C2 Tactical at all! After our time on the range we returned to the classroom, Jeff was standing in the back and the energy had shifted in the room. I asked a question and Jeff stated, "better not have or I'll have to have a talk with the instructor after class". He took my question out of context and tried to twist it to make the instructor look bad. He was literally combative with me - a paying customer - when I told him he took it out of context. He made me feel VERY uncomfortable and almost ruined the entire experience for me. Jeff should not be interacting with customers, ever! read more

We didn't bring our firearms today, but spent some time in the showroom wandering around admiring the great selection of rifles and pistols here. Clean and organized were all over the place inside C2 Tactical. A very well appointed retail area and gun range. The staff offered to answer any questions and were very helpful during our visit. I came here with my wife to shoot her new concealed carry gun and get her used to it abit, we normally prefer out door danger due to horror stories that we have. C2 defiantly has changed that experience nothing but kind and friendly people here at this range utmost professionalism and knowledgeable staff. The first range master we came into contact with was a African American guy wish I got his name hit he was very nice and kind as well as professional as well. Went here with my fiancé to get reacquainted with firearms. Signed up for the beginner pistol class at 8am. A little early for both of us but well worth it. We arrived a few minutes late but were welcomed in by the teacher, Joe, who did a fantastic job showing us the in and outs of gun safety and operation. He showed us everything. From how to properly hold a pistol, the dangers that can happen from improper gun use, and simple tips and tricks to get the most out of our firearms. The lesson was 3 hours and an hour at the range, where we picked out whichever pistol we wanted to try for free (we paid for the ammo, and the lesson was $60) The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Way, way overpriced. We called ahead and there was a three hour wait so we made a reservation not knowing they'd charge $10 just as a reservation fee. We literally took one lane for 10 minutes to test out our new pistol with our own ammo and it cost $35. It was also small and overcrowded inside the range and the staff was unpleasant and unhelpful to communicate with. Will definitely try a different place next time. We were gonna buy the pistol from there yesterday but a customer came over and whispered we should go to Sportsman's Warehouse instead. Very glad we listened to his advice. read more

PREJUDICE ALERT Cody and his team of racist seen my and my 2 cousins come in their establishment and denied us service. Yes we are all 3 black with dreads. I don't like to pull the race card and usually don't unless truly warranted. The vibe was off from the second I walked in. The first guy greeted us and I proceeded to ask him for a lane. He had this sketchy look to him that I initially ignored. He then gave me a tablet and as I am filling out a waiver he asked us if anybody has smoked weed today. I don't smoke weed an no one with me smoked any weed whatsoever so we all answered no. He then informed us that he can't let us in the range due to the "lingering" smell of marijuana from us. Mind you there are like 30 people in the front where we were. I then proceeded to ask to speak to Cody who was in a completely different area and asked him how this is acceptable and all he said was he was sorry. The staff/range officers were courteous and helpful. The facility is very nice and we'll maintained. Almost couldn't hear the shooting from the lobby. The overall cost was definitely more than Caswell's but the newer rentals and nicer facilities were probably worth it if you intend to rent. If you intend to shoot your own guns it might not be worth it. I definitely appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. Some ranges act like you don't know how to handle a firearm and shouldn't be trusted to do anything without extensive instruction. Here, they pretty much left us alone unless we had questions... in which case they were more than willing to help. Also, less "rich gentleman's club" feel than Scottsdale. Important note: shot size less than 6 was not allowed... previous ranges I've been to didn't care. read more

I asked before I paid if they have a sit-down table to zero a rifle scope and they said they did. Well, they don't. Where do they find these guys working the counter? If you need to zero a scope on a rifle don't waste your time or money because the rifle bays are the same as the pistol bays. You can't zero a scope offhand, you need a table long enough to support the entire rifle with a rest and a stable stool to sit on. I can zero any rifle at 25 meters and it's good to go out to 300 meters, even offhand once it's zeroed. I couldn't believe my eyes, there were guys with AR's blasting away offhand at targets 10 feet away and they could barely hit the paper. I didn't even shoot. I just packed up and left and gave the counter guy back my virgin target. and explained to him the situation. No, I didn't get a refund, I just drove the 50 mile round trip out out to Usery Pass and zeroed my scope the way you're supposed to. Who would shoot a rifle at an indoor range? The Lady inside the shooting area helping with the lanes was very polite and helpful so I gave them 2 stars. read more

Ok, I was a member of another range for a decade. Over the years, I've tried C-2 several times and came to the conclusion that each range has their own differences. From my experience, I feel the Range Monitors should and must remove those who do not follow the rules. Two strikes and you're out of here would be better. Those who have no real experience had to ask how to load this rental "thing". We always keep track of new shooters. Maybe a basic shooting class at C-2 would help. In mid December 2021, my son (a grown man) and I came here for 5 straight days. Our son lives and works in NYC and has an NYC permit. He transported, by air, his new Wilson Combat Protector.45. The only NYC gun range is in the basement of a commercial building and sucks! I purchased a special HD filter mask for that NYC range as the air is terrible. So my son's plan was to break in his new .45. And so he did to the tune of a several thousand rounds. + Four hundred rounds fired in my S&W 629 .44 magnum. We had a fun time as we watch everyone around us. I shot my HK MARK 23 .45, as it's fun to shot long range. The store staff are very friendly and helpful. The Holidays are now over and those new to shooting should be somewhat experienced by now. I highly recommend C2 for your shooting pleasure. The range air is very good = no strong gun discharge smells. The temperature control is also great. No issues parking at C-2. IKEA is directly across the street. Great place to drop off those who do not want to shoot. C-2 has a full service store + rental firearms & ammo/targets. read more
